Detailed Reviews
Wonderful hosts and a great breakfast. The room is very spacious and comfy with a bar frudge and coffee majer. A little coffee spot too. Nice sitting area and a wonderful bakcony.
The location is perfect, a 20 min walk along the river to the cassino for the show.

A Hidden Gem Bed and Breakfast is by far the best away from home experience my husband and I have ever had. From the greeting upon arrival, the most comfortable room where every little detail is thought of, to the wonderful delicious breakfasts and baked goods. This beautiful home is located in a great location close to shops and entertainment. Troy and Sue are the most gracious hosts and go out of their way to make you feel right at home. I would highly recommend staying here.

My partner and I stayed here on a layover between US and Canadian trains on the way to Toronto. We just needed a simple place close to the VIA rail station, but we got one of the best stays of our trip (and definitely the best breakfast!) The room was large, comfortable and charming and it's walking distance to a good variety of shops and restaurants. Sue and Troy were amazing hosts, above and beyond our expectations. Our only regret about a hidden gem is that we booked only one night!

Great place to stay. Sue & Troy are like family. We stayed in the Green đź’š room and it was a fabulous setup. It has 2 outdoor balconies however it was a bit chilly out so we enjoyed the view from inside. Great area. We went to visit my mom. The breakfast is big & delicious. Its a must stay when in Windsor. Thanks guys.

We had a comfortable and welcoming stay in Canada. The is place is perfect for a quiet getaway. The coffee shops are in walking distance and so is the best restaurant in Windsor. The owners are so kind and helpful. They made our stay lovely and we would go back for sure. Breakfast was wonderful and I like the idea of being able to choose. Thanks for a great vacation!

A Hidden Gem Bed and Breakfast does indeed live up to its name. Not only are the accommodations top of the line, the hospitality of Sue and Troy Brian is the best we have had; right down to the welcoming sign on the room door.
When in Windsor, or the surounding area, this is the place to stay.

The loft room was a quiet, clean, comfortable, perfectly appointed oasis for a tired traveller. The attention to detail was first rate. I can't think of a single thing that was lacking. I loved everything about it!! Sue and Troy provided excellent hospitality and the breakfast was superb! I will definitely return.

My husband and I stayed in The Loft room at Kirks' Bed and Breakfast for a weekend in March 2005. It's not a luxury B&B - the decor and the breakfast were pretty straightforward - but our room was extremely comfortable, and both the owners and the place were very nice. We hate frilly B&Bs, and this place was not like that at all. The Loft was done in knotty pine, with pretty but plain decor (e.g., blue comforter, plaid curtains). The bed was super-comfortable, and so was the window seat - I even fell asleep reading there. We had plenty of space to spread out, and the Jacuzzi tub was great!
The breakfast was not the sumptuous, multi-course affair served at some B&Bs, but it was very good - eggs done to your preference, bacon or sausage, and toast one day, and the next day French toast.
The owners provided great service. They greeted us when we arrived, asked about our food preferences, and then left us alone - no forced chit-chat or nosy questions. The room was stocked with a huge array of magazines, and when the owner noticed while cleaning the room that I was reading them, she left another big stack for me. She also gave us bottles of water for the road as we were leaving, when we asked for a drink before we left.
Finally, the location is great. It's only a couple of blocks from the river, with its pretty views of the water and of the Detroit skyline, and it's less than a mile to Casino Windsor and a 5-minute drive to Erie Street and Little Italy.
We recommended the place to another couple, who stayed in The Green Suite the following weekend, and they, too, had a good experience.
We would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed 4 nights in the green room, beautiful suite. The whole room was clean fresh and airy. Barb & Jim we're welcoming and friendly. We were able to come and go as we pleased day or night..
Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the quality of accommodation and the great breakfast. Would definitely recommend this B& B. We would certainly stay here again.
