My friends and I had a great weekend celebrating a friends birthday at Argyle Shore Waterview Cottages. The space was a perfect fit for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the provincial park right next door, were the perfect distance to both Charlottetown and the bridge, and had all the amenities we could have needed within the cottage. Will definitely be returning!
Can’t rave enough about these cottages. We only stayed for 2 nights and 3 days but wished we Could have stayed longer. We will be back. We were there during a heat wave but appreciated that every room had ceiling fan and a circular fan on the dresser. There was also a portable AC type of fan that blew cold air in the living room. So it was hot but we managed to sleep well enough. The cottages all have all the amenities and I asked a million questions to the owner ahead of time and she was amazing at getting back to me promptly. The rooms were well sized and beds were comfy. Full sized fridge, oven and microwave to use kitchen properly. Also a full bathroom and a bonus, a stool for our little guy to use in the bathroom! Laundry facilities on site, you leave money in your cottage at the end of your stay. We did a load and got ahead of our laundry pile for when we got home. Loved that. Laundry pods were provided. The small park on-site was a bonus. My son loved the sand box. Couldn’t keep him out of it. The beach down the road is a total PEI experience. Red sand and so much fun when the tide is out. We went both nights and had so much fun. Lots of hermit crabs to hunt and say hello to! The mosquitos were awful. Worst we’ve ever experienced. Even with bug spray. We went into Charlottetown on day 2 to buy something a bit stronger. I’m not a fan of the strong stuff on my kids but in one night I had more than 30 bites on me and one of my kids was just as bad. It was the lesser of 2 evils. After that we had no problems. We look forward to returning next year. We were 30 min from Cavendish and Charlottetown - 2 spots we visited while we were there. Easy to find and not far from the bridge. …
Our stay at Argyle Shores was great... Cottage was beautiful & was prepared for any need. Everything was shiny & new. All packaged up with a great view.... Wonderful job Gayle - your efforts were greatly appreciated :)
We stayed at Argyle Shore when our children were little in the early 2000's. We like it so much we came back 4 years in a row. This was our first time back in 12 years and it is still as great as I remember it. The cottages are perfect. Three bedrooms, generous bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower, small living room and kitchen dining and an amazing deck. The cottages have everything you could ever need, and if it doesn't Gayle will try and help you out. The grounds are immaculately maintained with lots of room for kids to play, even fly a kite if you want. The proximity ot Argyle Shore Provincial Park is the the icing on the cake. 5 minutes walk from your cottage you can be in the water at anytime. The south side of the island is not the expensive tourist trap that the North side is, but is still breathtaking. The cottages are 15 minutes from a grocery store and liquor store, and only a 40 minute drive from the beaches and touristy stuff on the North side of the island. Thanks Terry and Gayle for another great stay!…
What a beautiful cottage. We stayed one night to visit friends and relatives. We were able to have a bbq and an outdoor fire. The cottage is located in a beautiful section of PEI. Our host, Gayle was excellent. I would definitely visit this cottage again. It was immaculate, and decorated with the traveler in mind!
