The Dundee Arms Inn is a delightful boutique hotel in old Charlottetown. They also have an excellent restaurant where you are pampered and the atmosphere is relaxing. The food very good, today I had Eggs Benedict with Lobster! Wow! what a great treat it was. Everything comes well presented, tables have white table cloth, plates are hot when put in front of you. Attention to details and excellent quality for value. Highly recommend this civilized hotel.

Front desk was really nice and friendly. Unfortunately the inn itself is so dated and musty. The hallways/carpets leading up to your room smell horrible. The bathroom was nice and big. The beds were cleanish but around the bed frame it was full of dust and crumbs. Definitely not worth the 314$ a night although the location was excellent if you want to be close to downtown Charlottetown. It was also really convenient that they had a free on site parking although we didn’t go in the peak season so we always found a space. Would not stay here again unless I had no choice.

The Hotel room was very nice and so was the service. The breakfast was ok but it would have been nicer if it weren't bagged. The Bathtub (a bit like a jacuzzi) was a very special touch, and it also worked very well. The beds were comfy and the air conditioning worked well. The location was great because you could get everywhere in Charlottetown within walking distance and the shops were not too far away.

Nice old building in a great location. We had Anne's Room in the old house. Good beds, spacious bathroom, excellent jet tub.

The website doesn't mention that the restaurant is gone, which is too bad because reviews here mention it. No big deal, because there are many good choices nearby. Easy parking in front or behind.

The pub room was hot, and so was our room. We ran the AC all nights until I got up at one point and it seemed to be pushing warm air.

Breakfast, well, gosh, it just wasn't up to the standard we expect at this level of accommodation. It might be better not to offer it. A paper bag with a small dry muffin, a small yogurt, and an apple. Adequate coffee. I had bottled OJ, my companions had cranberry juice instead of OJ and both agreed it was not at all good.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback . I wish we had been made aware the air conditioner was not set properly as this would have been an easy fix to provide the comfort level for your stay. I am sorry you did not enjoy the free bag breakfast as we did receive positive comments from a lot of our guests. I do hope you have a great Fall and will return to our beautiful Island in the future. Have a great day.

What a charming and quirky hotel.

Charlottetown is a lovely small city, dotted with historic buildings. One of those is the Dundee Arms Inn.

The lobby and common areas aren't air conditioned, and we arrived on a particularly warm day. I worried as I entered carrying our things up to our third floor room. Thankfully, the room had a very efficient air conditioner.

The room had lots of character, almost magical. You enter into a sitting area with a sofa, tables, a desk, etc. To the left was a small but tasteful bathroom with the cutest little tub! The angles of the roof cast intriguing shadows. THe large and sturdy bed was situated in the turret, making for a tight squeeze for us larger men, but the space was a whimsical escape.

The inn includes a large deck with numerous tables, mostly for drinks from the bar, but it's also a great place to dine on breakfast delivered from nearby eateries.

The only real drawback is the lack of elevator. My advice for couples is to pack one small bag for both. That will save numerous trips up and down the stairs.

Do not stay in Annex. AC was too loud to sleep and so room was extremely warm. Ask desk and unable do to anything. Did provide a small fan when asked. Nice location to walk to many spots in the city.

We stayed in the annex in a king room nearest to the street. The rooms have been updated and are spacious with lots of storage. Pillow top bed with lots of feather pillows. Large bathroom with walk-in shower. In-room coffee although the free coffee in the main building is very good. The only complaint is that the internet is very spotty in this room. Our friends in the room above us have no problem with the internet.

Was somewhat disappointed after seeing the glowing reviews. There is no breakfast available, only coffee in the morning. We did not find any convenient take out breakfast options close by. The annex rooms are dark and have small windows. Two of us stayed in the older part which was better but it needs an upgrade as it looked "tired". The staff, however, were very friendly and helpful and the location and parking were great. The outside deck was inviting but you must order drinks in order to use it. Overall it was OK and would consider staying there again depending on pricing.

Great location for exploring downtown. Room was very nice, bed was comfy, and bathroom was also quite nice. Very warm in the room so needed to leave the window open to cool off. The breakfast 'bag' was uninspiring.

Would consider for a return visit but only in the main house where all the character is.

Exceptionally clean and beautiful historic rooms.
We booked 2 suites and everyone loved them; beds and pillows were comfy, room was spacious. All in all it is a great bang for your buck.
All staff were incredibly nice and we could tell they took pride in the hotel.
It's such a short walk from downtown as well.
Will stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Our Dining Room and Lounge are wheelchair accessible (We have a ramp on the side of the building). The rooms on the ground floor of the Annex are partially accessible with the bathroom in the rooms not being wheelchair accessible (The tub has the grab handles) All the other rooms have stairs to access them so they are not accessible.
