My soon to be wife and I stayed at one of their suites and it was an amazing experience! They have a cool hottub and the room cleanliness was spectacular. The management is so friendly and kind hearted. Overall amazing experience!

Hotel's Favourite
Booked via choicehotels.com for 143$ per night for 2 nights. Early check in was friendly and efficient, and was provided a few cookies. Room was located in the Sutherland House behind the hotel. on second floor. Very nice building but if you need an elevator, stay in the main building. Room had a king bed, LCD TV with decent channel selection, wifi, good view, modern yet cosy feel, good bathroom. Breakfast is included. You get a choice of 4 breakfast prepared by the restaurant. I had the eggs, sausage, bacon and homefries, very generous. It comes with scrambled but you may ask for over easy (only 1 egg, extra for additonal eggs). Gluten free bread is an option (1 slice). No gym or pool but they provide day passes to the university facilites (you will need a car). One warning, if you are returning to YYG by cab, add an extra 30 minutes wait given there is not much cabbies in town.

We had a bed bug infestation in our room and it took them hours to do anything about it. Not a single apology was given for the major inconvenience and risks of spreading, only a room refund. I woke up at 4am and found little bugs all over our bed. I caught one and squished two to show the front desk. Unfortunately this was already our second night in the room, meaning we probably were bitten. Our luggage was placed right at the foot of the bed so all our clothes were also at risks of having bed bugs and we were only half way through our maritimes trip. The management kept telling us this was above their jurisdiction and that the higher level management is coming to handle it. EVEN AFTER WE CAUGHT AND SHOWED THEM THE BUG. They made us wait hours and then told us that the pest control wouldn’t be able to show up on Thanksgiving Monday. As guests, how you decide to handle the infestation is not my concern, but rather my luggage and clothes that are huge potential carriers of the bed bugs. All they offered for compensation was a room refund. Check your bed thoroughly with the lights off, before sleeping in their beds.

I will be honest, it was just ok. First the positives. Front desk attendant was polite and efficient. Location is great. We stayed in a king suite in another building. Our first impression was a strong odour of damp or wet carpet. Not pleasant. Room didn’t smell thank goodness but when we turned the air conditioner on I immediately had an allergy response which indicates to me it had a lot of dust and needed cleaning. Lack of screens on the windows was disappointing but an easy fix. Our biggest complaint was the light from the hallway lit the bedroom up like daylight once we turned our own lights out. It was super bright and made it difficult to sleep. Not sure of how to fix that but it should be addressed.

Thank you for letting us know about your stay. I am sorry your did not enjoy your stay. I have not had that complaint about a lot of light coming in under the door in our heritage houses. One is 12 years old and the other we have had for 20 plus years. We will look into it to see how we can resolve that issue. I am glad out front desk team we great to deal with and you enjoyed our downtown location and complimentary hot plated breakfast. Tanya

We had to book a last-minute room through a central booking site for Comfort Inn in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Fiona. If I had been hunting for a week, I couldn’t have found a better room than the Quality Inn and Suites in Charlottetown. When we went to register, we were told that we were in the “heritage section” of the hotel, which was otherwise a mid-rise building in the heart of downtown. This transpired to be two heritage homes that had been purchased by Quality Inn and turned into suites that maintained the original floors and woodwork with modern plumbing. Gorgeous – what a brilliant corporate gesture to maintain the streetscape in a heritage area. It was charming and comfortable with furniture appropriate for the period. We had a small issue with a heating vent and the manager came over within minutes to fix it. The stay also included a to-order breakfast (pretty impressive, considering they were coming out of a blackout), which was excellent, served by one of the sunniest waitresses we encountered all trip. We would definitely visit again.

I didn't realize when I booked the room, that I booked a room in one of the Historical Houses beside the Main Hotel. An amazing suprise, for sure! It was a beautiful suite, with a large kitchenette (full size fridge, and stocked dinning and silverware). The beds were super comfortable, and the bedroom and sitting areas were large, and well appointed. Super close the the downtown area, which is an added bonus! The front desk staff were friendly! The breakfast was very good, and again, the staff working in the dinning room were alos so friendly. It was nice to have an sit down breakfast, rather than a buffet style.

This was the seventh stop on our road trip to the maritimes. We stayed at the Inverness House, it’s not connected to the main building but it’s less than a minute walk away. There’s lots of parking right out front of the building. It was a very large suite with a full sized fridge and freezer, a microwave, sink, basic dishes, cutlery, tea towel and dish soap. The air conditioner was a bit noisy but it worked well, there was also a nice fireplace. The hot water and internet were good, there were lots of usb outlets and plugs around the room. The breakfast was really good, they give you four choices of a la carte. There was a scrambled egg breakfast, a breakfast sandwich, a waffle and fruit, or a muffin, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. The location was great, we were a short 10 minute walk to the boardwalk and trails and there were a lot of restaurants on our street. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Charlottetown!

My friends and I stayed here for 1 night before our flight home to Ontario. We were greeted at the front desk by Mike. He was very friendly and welcoming! Even handed us chocolate chip cookies! The room was very comfortable. There was coffee set up in the lobby for your convenience. The free breakfast had 4 different options and was very good. Would definitely select this hotel again. A great stay

My daughter and I stayed here 4 nights last week as part of a road trip and this hotel was truly the highlight of our trip. We booked towards the end of June and the only room available was a deluxe king suite with a jacuzzi and kitchenette. It was a little over what I was looking to spend initially but I figured it being so close to everything downtown would probably be worth it. The check in was great and we even got homemade cookies as a welcome treat. Our room was in the adjacent heritage building, a beautifully restored house. The hallways and carpet looked beautiful and clean. We opened the door to our room and wow it was huge and felt like our own grandiose apartment. I’d estimate it at about 400 sf with 4 large windows, high ceilings, original wood floors, king size bed, huge 2 person jacuzzi tub and bathroom with a walk in shower. It also had a kitchenette with a mini fridge, microwave, plates and cutlery, AND a fireplace. A sit down breakfast with waiters serving food was complimentary ( we still tipped but most didn’t seem to), there were 4 choices and we could never finish our plates. Location is very walkable and we didn’t use our car the whole time we were there. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added an extra night to our 3 night stay. We saw some of the other rooms while housekeepers were preparing them for future guests and they looked just the same but on a much smaller scale. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We chose to stay here for a night after having car trouble on a road trip to PEI. The front desk staff were so helpful and friendly, including storing our luggage while our car was being repaired. The location is great, as without a car we were able to walk everywhere. There are so many great shops and restaurants plus the waterfront nearby. The room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was a choice of four hot and cold choices that you ordered in the hotel's restaurant. Another good stay at a Quality Inn.
