Everything was great except I rent a suite and you could hear the elevator every time it went up and down which made it unbearable. Other than that service was excellent and staff were friendly , food.
Needs some upgrade in flooring to get rid of musty odor Had a little problem with heating but got that straightened out. Tournaments and Competitions on during stay so noise level was quite high when playing hockey in the hall until late at night.
We had a great trip at the Rodd Charlottetown and would recommend it for people looking forward to spending time in a well-presented historic property. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the friendliness of the staff in the restaurant, and how helpful the front desk was in helping us get to our event across town. And despite the hotel being quite full with a hockey tournament going on in town, they handled things very well - no disruption to our stay.
Very old buildings and parking lot worse and the room i stay. The door is broken very old need more changes.i cant recommend this hotel.breakfast not good at all .walls is thin, noise hear in outside the room
We had a pleasant stay here. The room wasn't large but was very comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good. The staff was very responsive. The location is good as well, just down the road from many nice restaurants
Location is perfect for many activities in downtown Charlottetown. Parking is close and free. Staff were very friendly and responded quickly to all requests. This is the third time staying at the hotel and I would stay their again.
Overall, we were very impressed with the facility and when my wife says she would stay there again, well that says it all. The hotel is in the center of where we wanted to be, well within walking distance of what we wanted to see, the price was excellent. What impressed us the most was the elevator smelled like it had just been cleaned and this was late in the afternoon. We had a positive stay.
a very well maintained property with excellent friendly helpful staff no details of service were overlooked it was a most enjoyable stay the convention room was great and maintained with water on the tables but being a smoker I missed a dish of hard candies on the tables
A great hotel to hold conferences and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great older facility with character and a great restaurant. Temperatures in rooms are easily and quickly adjustable to suit the needs of the guest, air conditioning works fine. A comfortable nights stay.
Lovely hote - clean, comfortable beds, close walking distance to everything in the historic down town area and my conference hotel! Big lovely veranda at front of hotel which had comfortable chairs which I used often, esp in the quiet of the evenings; used veranda as the rooftop patio was always locked in the evenings. I found the 4th floor not much different than what would be expected for a standard room and my room looked out the back of the hotel and for the extra $10, I was hard pressed to understand what the view would be different from the 3rd or 2nd floor. Pool was warm which made up for the lack of a hot tub and it was large for doing laps. Sauna never worked - note on outside of sauna stated it needed 15 minutes to warm up but it never warmed up with 15 min nor 30 minutes. Very disappointing. Staff were friendly but never asked about how stay was, sites seen, or if there was anything they could do to make stay more comfortable, despite a 5-day stay. A fruit bowl with apples or angels would have been welcomed, even if covid-protocols included staff offering / passing it to guests. A menu outside the restaurant and a sign on the time restricted bar would have gained more interested than wondering what they serve or the hours open. Overall lovely hotel, which would be enhanced with a few attentions to details! The weather, which was 18 - 20 degrees at the end of October was the bonus that made my business trip feel even more enjoyable! …
