Stayed overnight in October 2015 on business. Charming hotel near everything - restaurants, the Confederation Centre, etc. Suites on the recently added 5th floor are really nice with tons of space and lots of amenities. Staff were all pleasant to deal with. Will stay here again.

I really enjoyed my recent stay at the Rodd Charlottetown. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore downtown and not too far of a walk from the waterfront. I particularly liked the charm of this older hotel (I don't remember the last time I stayed somewhere with an actual room key). The finishes are certainly reflective of days gone by,...

The rooms still use a key, but that just adds to the charm of the hotel. The smaller rooms still have their original solid wood doors from the 1800s. The bathrooms, while small, are still decorated in an older style. The rates were reasonable, and the room was comfortable. I could very easily walk to any location downtown for meals,...

Older hotel with very little parking. The front desk lady told us to drive around Charlottetown and park on the street anywhere but that the meters would need feeding at 8 in the morning. We couldn't even find a place with or without a meter for about 30 minutes in the dark. We were going to park illegally in the...

We picked this place partly because of location. Unique older hotel that had clean rooms, elevator, pool and wifi. Location was great for walking around downtown in Charlottetown. Staff were helpful when we asked questions about the area. The restaurant was also quite good the one evening we ate there. Limited parking in front but we found parking in back...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in September. We had a pleasant stay. Nothing exceptional, but it was clean, and worked well as a base as we explored Charlottetown and the surrounding area. The decor is a little outdated. I believe the could really do some renovations to improve that piece, but everything worked well and the...

The Rodd Charlottetown is grand. As an ex railway hotel it is not surprising. It has an impressive façade, an impressive lobby, impressive meeting rooms and big comfortable bedrooms. The rooms and décor are generally just a little old fashioned, but none the worse for it. The place is neat, clean and well maintained. If the price is right, I...

Overall it was a lovely stay! Our room was a little small (expected considering the age of the hotel), as was the bathroom. Both were very clean, with lovely furniture. We ate in the hotel restaurant as we had gotten a deal that gave us a $20 gift card to use, which was great. Negative: no disability rooms, and the...

A very interesting property with much history and character, very elegant, and in a very convenient location. Our room was a bit on the small side, but this is what you would expect in a hotel of this type and age. It was nicely furnished. The wifi worked well. Breakfast was ordered from a menu and was very nice. We...
