I reserved a two bedroom cottage, but when I arrived was upgraded to the house in behind, I’m assuming due to the fact it was pretty vacant. The house was really nice, wifi worked great, but we could not sleep upstairs it was so hot and there was no air conditioning up there. We slept fine on the main level. It could have been cleaned better, there was still trash from the people there before, but even with that I would definitely stay here again.

Great spot in Charlottetown! We were in town for a football tournament at UPEI, but didn’t want to be confined to a hotel room. Royalty Maples was the perfect alternative. Cottage 105 has a full kitchen, living/dining room, bathroom with tub, and the bedroom has two doubles. There is a beach volleyball court and play set for the little ones in the main grassy area. Set back from the road, walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely stay again.

Really nice cottages, very well remodeled. Only down side is the bedrooms are extreamly small but I guess they are just for sleeping anyhow. Lovely kitchen with convection oven and large microwave. Lots of storage if you were spending some time there. Very clean.

We had a change of plan prompting us to arrive in Prince Edward Island one day earlier than planned. In trying to look for available lodging options last minute, a familiar name came up: Royalty Maples. We had stayed there 15 years ago and knew that we would have decent accommodations for one night.

When we arrived there this time, my jaw dropped at the complete refurbishment of the whole property. Gone was the 1970’s decor, replaced by something that fits in the 2020s.

The two bedroom cottage now had 2 queen beds instead of two doubles. They were on modern metal frames with solid wood headboards.

The furniture in the living room/dining area were also replaced. It now gave off a very modern, appealing interior vibe. There was also brand new contemporary wood flooring throughout the cottage. The TV was a wide screen flat panel HD TV that replaced the small 12” square glass tube TV the last time we were here.

The kitchen appliances were also modernized, with a stainless steel look as well as an over the stove microwave oven. There is still a toaster and filter coffee maker in the cupboard. There is basic cookware, plates, cups, and cutlery in case you’d like to dine in the cottage. Behind the oven and sink was a tiled backsplash which shows the intricacy of their renovations.

The bathroom was also completely refurbished. The new LED lights made it a lot brighter as well as new faucets and a new water saving toilet.

On the outside, the front patio, patio furniture, siding, and roof have been completely replaced. There was even a compact propane barbecue in case we wanted to have a BBQ.

Most impressive was the installation of mini-split style air conditioning units that will easy cool down the whole cottage on hot days. I remember the previous in wall AC units barely were powerful enough to keep the cottage cool.

One welcome constant with both our stays was the helpful staff. They were able to assist and answer all our questions even though I saw them busy with other tasks on the property.

Kudos to the owner of Royalty Maples for turning this place around, delivering on value. In other words, you’ll pay less for what you’re getting in comparison to the competition. My previous rating was a 3, it now merits a 5 based on the hard work they have invested to improve the place.

This place is a little gem. The lady at the front desk was a sweet heart and got our booking done so fast. There was a lot involved. All the amenities are so very close. we rented 3 rooms and 2 cottages and each room was so nice. The cabins where the perfect size. The beds where so comfy and it was very clean. The huge lawn made it very easy to have some family games and watch the kids play. I give this place and the staff 2 thumbs up and a huge thank you for everything. I honestly can not say enough about this place. I will be back.

My husband and I have stayed at Royalty Maples several times in the last 10 years. We always love to go back because it is in close proximity to where our grand daughter lives in Charlottetown and she comes and stays with us while we are there. We usually rent one of the cottages and she can have her own bedroom..It is very clean and reasonably priced. We don't ask for anything more than that. We have never had any problems there and management is only too willing to help us out with anything that we may need.

Just spent 5 nights at Royalty Maple Cottages. Our cottage was the one closest to the main house. Cottage was clean, well equipped and large enough for the four of us to not be stepping on each other. Our request for additional towels was resolved immediately and the staff and owner were all friendly and accommodating.

Loved having our own cottage. Noise was not an issue (posted rules saw to that!). Especially loved how close it was to the grocery stores and to the highway.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, or recommend it to friends. Next time, I'll know that we can bring our dog. He would have loved the large property and the canine friends.

Taking advantage of this evening of rain while I am still staying here to write a few reviews on my stay and adventures in Charlottetown. This is a great spot it is our first visit to Charlottetown. I am here on business and decided to bring the family. I called up to reserve a few weeks ago now and got a great deal on a weekly stay.Stay 6 nights and the 7th is free was the special offer for weekly stays that sold me on the phone. We are in a 1 bedroom cottage for 99 a night. Can't get much cheaper then that. The room has 2 double beds, with a large closet and dresser which is nice to have when you are somewheres for a week. Kitchen living room combined and pull out couch in the living room which my son says is comfortable. The beds are comfortable as well I will add.

Everything was spotless when we checked in. Kitchen seems to have everything. I don't know if there is everything to cook a turkey dinner with I haven't found anything that we are missing at the moment Check in was nice and quick. Went back up to the desk once we got settled and the young man got all the information and maps of the area to get me started for the week. The room is a bit dated (wood paneling). The carpet must be newer it still seems to have that fresh new carpet smell and it looks to be in realy good shape. Bathroom is probably only a few years old. Kitchen is a little older. Nice TV flat panel larger size which is nice to have. The place is really clean and everything seems to being getting updated as it needs it and all the odler stuff is working and well maintained

Housekeeping has been great each day we are well stocked for everything we need they haven't missed a day. We've always had enough towels and supplies haven't had to ask for extra of anything.

One thing I must mention is the Internet which was a must when I called I asked how good it was and the person on the phone said it has to be one of the best around and that it never goes down and it was just upgraded this summer. He was right. I find hotel internet always slow and on and off and on and off this has been up for me and FAST FAST FAST.

Location has been good for me just turn right out of the parking lot and that road takes you right downtown. Only about 5 minutes if you hit all green lights.

All in all its a great spot. Its nice and quiet I have been able to get a bit of work done in the evening the kids have been outside playing in the worlds largest sandbox(a beach volleyball court). Its nice becuase the no vacancy sign has been up all week and I have noticed cars at all the units and it still doesn't feel busy here. The street out front is busy but you don't notice it at all over night or evening in the evening when your sitting out on your deck. I will be back if and when I return to PEI

One note some cottages seem to have a larger deck on them and look a little bigger these are a good size but they look like they would be a little larger not sure what the difference is beside the big deck.
