We come to Charlottown several times a year and always stay at high end condos and apartments. Sadly I was disappointed with my stay here. The room I actually ended up cleaning...The counter had a coffee ring from the coffee pot and coffee drippings.. which immediately I knew had not been disinfected. The fridge was not wiped out. The microwave was covered in finger prints. There was 2 towels for 4 people. Though they gave us more when we asked. The bathroom in the master had drippings of something on the floor and the shower door had marks where people had thrown their wash clothes over. Soap stains still there. There were bits of toilet paper behind the toilet and the headboard had an inch of dirt. They didn't vacuum our mats as we walked around in our bare feet and kept getting things stuck to our feet. I did clean some of the items but eventually gave up. Phone in the Superior Suite would not dial the front desk. Their was a washer and dryer on site but no laundry soap or anything in the apartment to use. No hangers in the closet. We'll There was 2. The bathroom sink had hair on it and I killed 4 flies in my first 5 minutes. Ugh! I could go on but won't. The staff was nice and the grounds looked OK. The furniture for a Superior Apartment is very cheaply made. Toilet paper is sand paper. Definitely not what we are use to. But as for the staff again they seemed lovely.. Upside I guess it's close to down town and AC works well. They have a coffee pot no coffee and no cream or anything for it..

We stayed two nights in Charlottetown and chose this venue because they offered a dinner package as well as breakfast; something we haven't tried before. We weren't sure what time check-in was so we arrived mid-afternoon and rang the bell. Noone answered, mail was overflowing the mailbox, and the place looked deserted. A phone call brought a staff member to check us in. We had a choice of an upstairs or downstairs room and opted for downstairs. I would recommend upstairs to future visitors as you will experience less noise from people above you. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished but there were a few things that require attention: The TV didn't work (and noone responded to our phone call about it), the air conditioning unit (finally located behind a chair) was too loud to have it operating, there were water stains on the bathroom ceiling, and we were provided with only 1 small bar of soap that had to be moved back and forth between the shower and the sink for use. The dining room tables were adequately spaced for covid-19 protocols, but none of the staff wore masks during any of the meal services. On the positive side, the heritage buildings (The Cranford Inn is the middle one of three on this city block) and the grounds are gorgeous. Both breakfasts and dinner were absolutely delicious, and we'd like to send a shout out to Mitch for his excellent, friendly service. We would definitely come back to this venue for an evening meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Inn. It is a beautiful property. The owner, his family and staff were extremely attentive and made our 40th wedding anniversary very special. They took care of all our needs and made our celebration even more special. We enjoyed sitting in the parlour every evening and breakfasts were outstanding. Our next visit to Charlottetown will definitely see us back at the Inn.

We LOVED our stay at this inn—one of the seven buildings in the Fairholm National Historic Properties collection. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. The staff (Jake and Sam) were TERRIFIC hosts! The Sandstone Suite was perfect! Spacious and modern. It was the best place to return to each day after exploring PEI. THe breakfast selections each morning ( we stayed three nights) were delicious. I would highly recommend this establishment and am so thankful for their high standards and welcoming atmosphere. Well done!

I have stayed at all three of the Fairholm Properties' main Inns and each one offers a unique opportunity to experience the outstanding hospitality of the Fairholm Properties staff on different environments. The Crandford Inn is a welcoming, warm and comfortable home that offers modern styling along with bright decor snd all the conveniences a traveler could ask for. Our room was comfortable, had a big, beautiful soaker tub, smart tv, comfy furniture and its own private deck. It was luxurious and contemporary, this would be the perfect fit for executives, families and even couples looking for a romantic getaway. Our family loves it so much and it was the perfect tie-in to our stay! The breakfast, as always was delicious and satisfying, served in the adjoining historic Hillhurst Inn. The breakfast staff was cheerful, friendly and helpful, making us feel welcoming and giving the perfect start to lie day when paired with the terrific breakfast! Of all the reasons why I keep returning to the Fairholm Properties, I could make a long list, but at the very top is always how absoloutely incredible the people are who make the Cranford, Hillhurst and Fairholm what they are. You feel like a true part of their family, as if you belong exactly where you are and are welcomed with the same warmth as if you're arriving home. Brooke, Ben, Sam, Jake, Tess and the entire family of the Fairholm Properties are at the heart of what makes this the very best place to stay when you're visiting Prince Edward Island.
