Billed as Charlottetown’s only 4 star, this hotel really is a cut above when it comes to design. They have this beautiful Atrium that goes up several stories but there is a very warm and cozy room to hang out on the 3rd floor at rhetorical bottom. As a frequent business traveler the room design is indeed next level. Everything is thought out and is where it needs to be, the hooks in the restroom, the plugs and indeed their bathrobes are so comfy. Pool and hot tub are great. Lots of reviews mention the location, right downtown steps from some of the best restaurants, shopping and a short walk from the tourist boardwalk in the summer. Also, it’s attached to a nice small mall that has a Shoppers Pharmacy in it. Very warm staff and the room was just so bright and beautiful. See my pictures. Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Rm 809 is a suite on 8th floor and the sunrises were spectacular. Great views and quiet.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location surrounded by shops and restaurants. Beautiful water view from our 6th floor room. Staff were friendly and efficient. We loved the pool and hot tub, clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable and room was adequate for all of our needs. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a spacious, tastefully decorated room, that was well thought out with comfort in mind. 2 comfy reading chairs, cordless charger by the bed coffee bar, Comfy beds and a huge bathroom. With bathrobes. The total package right downtown.

Great hotel! Room was clean and comfortable! Attached to a mall but was not an inconvenience, never even noticed. Front desk held our bikes during our stay and we’re very friendly and accommodating. Great location to walk the city for dining and shopping!

Stayed one evening early September. Check in was fine. Only one person at checkin. So if you’re trying to market yourself as upscale don’t make your patrons wait for starters. Once through check in took bags upstairs on trolley. Trolly could not fit in door and room. Room is shockingly small with a low end tv offset on the wall. Didn’t unpack as only staying for one night. If we needed to unpack there was not enough storage to do so. Bed was fine. Linens were lower thread-count and scratchy. Dust was evident on the surfaces so cleaning is substandard Bathroom was a head scratcher. Frosted glass on door offering minimal privacy to the user. Shower had no door on it allowing water to accumulate on the tile floor. Simply put a major hazard and liability. Shower head was so low someone 5’ 8” would have to bend down. I’m 6’ 1” so very uncomfortable. Water pressure was fine. Simply put you are paying for the downtown location and nothing more. Nothing boutique about this allegedly boutique place. Just mid range at best.

My family and I found the Holman Grand a practically perfect and centrally-located for our three day stay in Charlottetown. The hotel is QUIET. We stayed next to the elevators on a high floor and only heard them maybe once. The rooms were very clean, including the wood floors (why more hotels are not going this route, I do not know). As other reviewers have mentioned, the water cooler in the lobby cuts down on plastic water bottle usage, so I appreciated that. The hotel restaurant makes a great breakfast, too. We were all very happy with our choice to stay here.

So. My family and I show up and the hotel tells us that our booking was canceled, and they do not have a room available for us. Our booking was not canceled, and it turns out the hotel system messed up and never put us in the system, stranding us in a foreign city with no where to go. One star for the two gentlemen that helped us out: Tyler and Shane. Tyler was very patient with us and Shane made sure to input whatever information he had to help us out. Our issue is not with the system, or what happened with our booking, our problem is this other staff member named Edward who was passive aggressive, borderline racist, and had the audacity to whisper “super quietly” to Tyler to get my sister and I away from the counter before a bus or something showed up and the lobby would get busy. So, if you ever visit, just pay attention to Edward. He seems to not wear his name tag, so look out for a stout middle age man with no hairline and glasses.

The Holman Grand is a classy hotel situated right in the centre of Charlottetown and convenient to many shops and restaurants. Our room was 6th floor with good views across the town and water. Room was spacious with nice furnishings but with two exceptions. The in room phone didn't work and the AC wouldn't turn off in the room so had to go down to reception where they turned it off remotely. Excellent staff and overall a very pleasant stay.

My fiancé and I had such a great stay at your property last Thursday, June 22nd. we had landed in Charlottetown the night before as my fiancé is an Air Canada crew member and got into our room late. The next morning, we were heading out of the hotel to start out adventure in town when we were happily greeted by Luke. What can I say, he is such a ray of sunshine and his presence as we walked out of the elevator was known. He greeted us with a smile, with attentiveness and was ready to provide an impeccable service. I had asked him about a local map and suggestions and he happily assisted. I would like to say thank you to Luke for continuing to show that hospitality is still an elegant service and that he does it with refinery and elegance. I know people don't usually take the time to write comments anymore, but I do know an appreciation and thank you goes a long way. We will be recommending this hotel to family and friends when we tell them Charlottetown is a hidden gem that needs to be visited. I look forward to staying at your property again in the near future. Best of luck Luke!
