The Willowgreen farm is a charming B&B located directly behind the College of Piping stage. It is quiet spot with a lovely gazebo in the back overlooking the grazing goats. Small extras make this spot special such as, pre-stamped postcards in each room, bubble bath by tub and coffee and teas available after six pm. The wifi works well, but not all rooms have tv or air conditioning. The farm is family run with extremely friendly service. In the summer evening, one can sit out on the verandah or gazebo and enjoy the music and songs being played at the college of piping concert.

We took our chances by booking on line. We were so pleasantly surprised that the B&B was just as described, clean, cozy and so comfortable. The Read family was wonderful. We enjoyed talking to them and ended up wanting to spend more time with them. The food was very good and varied day to day. The service was great and came with a smile. Very hospitable. I would definitely stay here again. I was traveling with friends and now want to come back and bring my husband! This is a great place to stay!

This is a lovely spot with a rural feel (I heard sheep outside my window one morning!) and charming decor. It's a short walk to restaurants (try Brothers 2 or the Deckhouse) or the ocean, and a scenic drive to any of the local ceilidhs in the evenings.

I stayed in the basement room with a friend this summer. We came to PEI for the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, so we didn't get back to the B&B until after 1 am. Not long after we got to our room we noticed that there were earwigs everywhere, on the floor, walls, windows, ceiling, and on the bed. At first we tried killing them, but more and more kept popping up. We didn't know where the owners were so we couldn't tell them about the situation. As a result, we slept in my car. We woke up super early in the morning and went straight home. When we told the owner, he was very rude to us, and we didn't even get a full refund because we used the bathroom. I would never stay at this place again in a million years!

When we first drove up, we were a little concerned. The farm is located behind the College of Piping (bagpipes not welding). So you drive under the entranceway to the college. The college is doing a lot of construction so a little messy. But you drive on through and basically park in the yard. Which wasn't an issue. But the outside appearance of the place could use some updating. Very old family farmhouse. The landscaping and lawn areas could use a makeover. But once we went inside, it was very lovely. Country décor, homemade crafts, etc. A couple people commented in their reviews about the "religious stuff". Yes there was a Bible in our room, but that isn't a problem. We read the Bible. And a couple pieces of décor might have seemed religious to some but I found nothing offensive. I thought it was very tastefully done. The backyard is a haven to relax. Gazebo with nice seating, sheep to pet, cat to relax in your lap. AND you can hear the bagpipes from the college. If you don't like bagpipes, this is not for you. We enjoyed it. The college was also having a performance called Highland Storm that we went to. Awesome performance!! And we just walked down the driveway to get to it. We stayed 3 nights. The first breakfast was very good. The next breakfast was good I'm sure if you like pancakes which I don't. The next morning was boiled eggs. Which I like, if they are hard boiled. I didn't think to ask. So I was a little hungry but my fault because I am a picky eater. Our room was lovely. King size bed with a very nice seating area and huge bath room with tub and separate shower. Owners were nice in our opinion. We did have ants in our room. But they didn't take over.

The Inn Keepers were a very pleasant family. The room was cozy and quaint. The location provided for a peaceful and relaxing environment. The bed was comfortable and the overall room very clean. We enjoyed a short walk past the "Piping College" to a local restaurant with good food and reasonable prices.

We have mixed feelings about this B&B. It was very homelike and the hosts were friendly, but it had more of a hostel feel, except without the hostel price! Things we liked: good breakfast, quiet room, big bathroom with (small) shower and whirlpool tub, large dresser in room, nice garden, screen room in the back to sit outdoors without being bugged to death, clothesline if you needed to hang something out to dry, convenient to the town of Summerside. What we didn't like: our room only had 1 small window that opened; the room had an air-conditioner that we found we had to use. We were glad we had brought a small electric fan with us because the air-conditioner was in a corner not near the bed, so we needed the fan to circulate the cooler air. We also felt the furnishings and bedding were a bit dated and in need of freshening.

I stayed in a small but satisfactory room with a private bath. Decor is Holly Hobby Homey. Breakfast was excellent. Easy to find location convenient to other Summerside amenities. The price was excellent for all I received. The location is right in town but it's on acreage so it's like being in the country, complete with gregarious sheep!

Very unusual B/B , not in middle of countryside but instead in a built up urban area, with lots of fast food outlets. The house had lots of homemade crafts for sale, each room had old sewing machines and furniture, as well as open bibles. Family members in period dress. We saw very little of the owners who were not very welcoming and gave us no information on where to visit or eat. Room was adequate, breakfast was ok
