We stayed at Island Home Bed and Breakfast, when we went to PEI.. The place was wonderful, so clean and well kept. There were no refrigerators in the room, but just outside your door, there was a coffee station, complete with cookies, a refrigerator for guest use, as well as tourist info, and hand sanitizers every where if needed. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The breakfast were excellent, and Mike was the best waiter. He had lots of island info, and great tips on where to visit. Sharon his wife was the chef, and she makes a delicious breakfast, each day was something new, and very tasty. The place was close to most shopping and the warf, and you could walk to them if you wanted. Just a block away was an ice cream shop, where they made their own ice cream. Great after dinner desert stop.

I stayed at Island Home in September 2019 and had an exceptional experience. The home is kept in immaculate condition, and even the bathrooms shine. Breakfast was a real highlight, with so many delicious options and heirloom decor — Sharon and Mike and dog Laddie really go above and beyond. They’re also full of great travel tips if you need advice on your day’s activities. As a young female traveling solo, I don’t typically stay in B&Bs, but I felt very safe and welcomed at Island Home, by both the hosts and other guests. I will, with certainty, be back.

My husband and I have stayed in numerous B&B's from coast to coast. Our stay with Mike and Sharon was definitely a great choice. Extra attention for the client with chocolates in the room to fudge in the foyer and a fridge with juices, water, along with coffee and tea selections. Sharon is an amazing cook and the breakfasts were delicious. Thank-you Mike and Sharon for making us feel welcome and providing a comfortable place in Summerside for our stay.

From check in to check out, our stay was welcomed by our hosts, Mike & Sharon who always managed to help with some element of our stay. Newcomers to the Island themselves, suggestions were always available to aid in our exploring& touring. The historic home has been well maintained & is well matched for its location in the historic district...We had accommodation in the “Queen” suite for our weeks stay.So nice to have your own bath suite accommodations 😉.Top quality pillows& sheets dressed the queen bed that ensured a great sleep. After our first breakfast, we were looking forward to experiencing the next days .....Breakfast served is just that....eggs bennidict home made waffles...casseroles .....Just to name a few. Both hosts Mike and Sharon prepare and serve to the guests in the beautiful century dining rm...Amazed at the beautifully set table adorned with heirloom china etc. All about the details . Enjoyed helping ourselves to the homemade fudge everyday outside our room-who wouldn’t 😉We will definitely be back to the island and book our stay there again..Mike & Sharon were great hosts, their flare for the business reflects in their care for the guests....Thanks for the hospitality 🥇

This is a fabulous B&B for many reasons. First, it was newly updated with great fabrics, sheets and towels. We had the King suite which was very large. A huge bathroom and an extremely comfortable bed. All the things that a traveler needs. Plus a bowl of chocolates which I ate due to the stress of an impending hurricane. We arrived at the inn on a Saturday afternoon in midst of rain. Hurricane Dorian was to hit PEI that night. Sharon and Mike knew that the power may go out in the town and that all were closing up so she made a beef stew for all of us, 4 couples, and we picked up blueberry pies at the farmers market. That night the wind was howling and rain was coming down in vertical sheets. But at the inn we were all safe and snug. The inn never lost power and the hurricane came but we were so safe. The whole stay was so memorable for so many reasons but the main reason was because the inn was so beautiful and Sharon and Mike were so hospitable and great hosts that I can’t recommend this high enough. I have been in lots of B&B’s and inns and this was at the top!

To start, Thank you for taking the time to write such a heart warming review. The Hurricane Dorian night would not have been the same without you both... Thank you both for sharing a meal with us and helping hold down the Inn during the storm! It was a night to remember with wild winds/rain outside but great conversations and laughs on the inside. We really enjoyed your company and hope to see you again in the future.
