Definitelt a budget motel. Experience was ‘meh.’ The rooms are out dated (expected on the island), the shower had a really weird spray setting, and room smelled vaguely of old smoke. Loud hallways, you can hear anything. Breakfast in the morning was out of items by 9am except coffee. Otherwise, it suited the price we paid (cheap) and is good for just one night stop. Right by the highway and decent parking

We have stayed at the Traveller's Inn every summer for the last 7 years and it is great every time. Nice pool, clean and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay fabulous. The free popcorn and coffee are excellent extras!

The rooms are very clean and you have housekeeping come in every day with fresh towels and to make up the beds. They have AC units in every room. We were very comfortable other than banging doors in hallway. Dog was nervous as it sounded like thunder to her.

We stayed here as a part of a minor sport team stay, and it was a terrible experience. There are permanent residents who live in this hotel, and a very busy VLT lounge. This is not an appropriate place to bring children. There were serious concerns with said permanent residents in this motel who were hostile, inappropriate and openly intoxicated.

We had a great stay at this motel. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. There were lots of great channels on the tv. A pool for the kids too! We like this motel because it is close to Summerside and all the nearby attractions. All you need for a great visit to the island! Hope to return soon.

My photo says it all ! a decomposing mouse in a sticky pad trap, that I had pulled out from underneath my TV cabinet. Through out our stay, we had fruit flies, and I could not find the source. The room and bathroom need some serious deep cleaning. The pool was freezing and the floor badly needs to be BLEACHED ! But I think what shocked me the most ( after spending many years in the hospitality industry in Ireland) was the Manager-Owners reply.......I do not know how that could of got there. Well, lets just say.....you do not put down mice traps if you do not have a problem with rodents !!!!!!!
p.s....does anyone need to see the photo as proof !

Our stay at the Econo lodge was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I have traveled to many countrys and I was suprised to see a hotel so close to home being the worst. Our room was dirty, we had to find a room attendent to clean our room. After they left we still found dirt and an empty beer bottle left over from who know's when. We took the kids to the so called heated pool. The pool water was so cold the kids could not stay in it. The next day when we checked out we complained to the clerk at the desk and they just said it was too bad. The hotel staff were all smoking at the main entrance so we were forced to exit from another door.

When we returned home I emailed the corporate office. They were quick to point out that the hotel was privately owned and they had nothing to do with it. I emailed management at the Summerside location and received a letter in the mail about three weeks later indicating that they would do nothing about our poor service during out stay.

I would never recomend this place to my worst enemy. The staff were complete idiots and should not be allowed anywhere near the hospitality industry. They do not represent the island well at all.

We had the opportunity of staying at the Econo Lodge for one night and we felt that we really got for our money's worth. The staff was friendly and were very helpful when we wanted some info. This motel is very well situated especially if you intend to go to Cavendish.

we have stayed w/Angus and Rita everytime we go to PEI
We first met the owners Angus and Rita many years ago before they even had a pool in the motel. They are some super nice people. They have excellant food, excellant hospitality and service. Now everytime we travel to Prince Edward Island, we stay there. They have become good friends over the many years. If your in Summerside, this is the place to go and stay!=)=),

We walked into our room and realized that this wasn't a place we needed to stay. We decided then to cancel our second night booking and find another hotel for our second night in pei. The room was grouse smelling, and had the same furniture and carpet from when they allowed smoking and also wallpaper so the room didn't smell very well. The maid did a good job for what she had to work with. Needs to charge maybe $70 night. Breakfast was terrible!
