We are located in the historic core of Downtown Summerside and are within easy walking distance to the harbour where you will find a variety of great restaurants, attractions, and facilities. This is an elegant Victorian B&B with a fabulous breakfast. Mary Anne was a wonderful host and our room was beautiful and very clean.
We discovered that the legendary Holman's Ice Cream in Summerside is closed on Sundays! That was our only disappointment.
We only stayed one night, which felt like enough for this small town. It was an easy drive to Cavendish beach from Summerside the next day.

The Summerside Inn was the perfect place to stay on PEI. The house is beautiful, with its Victorian wooden staircases, doors, and working wood fireplaces. We walked 6 miles every morning, exploring the stately houses and buildings of Summerside, and there are good restaurants within easy walking distance. The house was so quiet, as was our room - and our room was bright, cheery and very comfortable. By far the best part of Summerside Inn is Mary Ann. She is so warm and welcoming, and an outstanding cook - and we loved chatting with her! We didn't want to leave!

My husband and I have nothing but good to express about our stay at Summerside Inn Bed & Breakfast.
Mary Ann is a gracious hostess that made sure we had everything we needed during our brief stay and served us the most delicious breakfasts during the duration of our visit ~ we guarantee ~ you will not leave her table famished.
The 1800’s heritage house was something to be spoken for. From the antique detailed furniture to the slight touch of modern day necessities ~ we felt like we travelled back in time ~ well done Mary Ann :)
We highly recommended you seek out your future stay at Summerside Inn Bed & Breakfast -~ it is quaint, classy and it is located in close proximity to everything what Summerside has to offer.

This was our first trip to PEI and Summerside was our first stop on our two-week trip. The inn is beautiful, yet comfortable. So often, we’ve stayed in older places that were lovely to look at, but not so comfortable for sitting, chatting, hanging out, or sleeping. The Summerside Inn covered all the bases wonderfully. We stayed in the Winter Room and loved it. The bed, even though antique in feel, was solid in feel with one of the most comfortable mattresses you’ll ever sleep on. The bathroom in this suite has an old claw foot tub that can be difficult to climb into if your balance or agility aren’t great, but we loved it. Breakfast was tasty and consisted of a couple of courses which allows for flexibility if you’re a breakfast lover (my husband) or not (that would be me).
There is plenty to do and see whether it be on foot or by car. The island is small enough that you can get to a lot of things in about a half an hour. And, for ice cream lovers, Holman’s is just a block away. We also recommend Moment’s Cafe - Chinese food that is prepped and cooked fresh to order and bubble waffles! So delicious.
One of the fun aspects of B&Bs is when your hosts create a space where you feel comfortable and welcomed. That was very evident at the Summerside Inn. You could be on the go each day or just as easily hang out all day, reading, talking with other guests, talking with Mary Ann, enjoying her very friendly and very cuddly little dog, or listening in on a guitar lesson given by Tim to one of the local residents. All in all, a restful stay in a beautiful inn.

The Summerside Inn host was a welcoming gracious person. The Inns Victorian history is well maintained and provides a feel of historic comfort. Our host prepared both sweet and savoury breakfasts that were absolutely delicious! We will definitely keep this spot on our list for future travel.

We stayed here mid June 2022 . Beautifully furnished old heritage home that was impeccably clean.,
Maryanne our host was very accommodating and friendly! Her breakfasts were out of this world served on fine China and Crystal bowls! Eggs Benedict was delicious! Thank you Maryanne!

We visited the Inn for two nights as part of a two-week tour of the Atlantic provinces and New England. As is our preference, we stayed, for the most part, in B & B's in almost every city or town we visited. We believe this gives us a great perspective when writing a review.
Everything about this Inn ticked all the boxes, from the beauty of the home itself, to the warm and gracious hospitality shown by our host. The room was large, spotless and included every amenity you could imagine. If you looking for a place to stay in Summerside - or anywhere in PEI - I highly recommend the Summerside Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Room was spacious and bed was comfy. Jenny and Ken were the perfect hosts. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. We will be back to stay again. You must also visit their ice cream parlour down the road for scrumptious homemade ice cream.

Our stay at the Summerside B&B was the highlight of our three week trip to Canada. We were treated to great food, great conversation and great atmosphere! We used the B&B as a home base while we took daily drives to see the lighthouses, the various seaside towns and the beauty of the waters complete with whales, birds, boats and rock formations carved by the sea. Ken and Jenny were the perfect hosts and shared stories of the history of the house and their subsequent restoration. If you travel to PEI, this B&B should be Number 1 on your list of places to stay!
