Stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, hotel staffs are very good most esp. front desk, the only set back is late room housekeeping, there was a time that towels were not changed, water bottles were not replenished
Our return trip to Montreal. There is a large Marche in the lobby. Perfect to pick up a snack and cup of coffee or tea after a long journey. The lounge, available for purchase is absolutely wonderful. The “snacks” were nutritious, fresh and satisfying. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are gorgeous, clean and very well equipped. The bonus is the location. Right next to a large mall with many dining options, you can easily walk to. I would very highly recommend this property!
The good: room was clean, parking was free, steps away from a shopping mall with a great selection of shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly. The bad: as much as I wanted to like it, this is not up on the Sheraton standard. My first night was on the 4th floor next to the highway, the sound insulation was terrible, together with the noise from the old school air condition unit under the window (you know what I am talking about, you've seen them at model 6), I didn't sleep at all. I called at night to complain, they fully booked, so the front desk promised me to move me to a room away from the high way the next day. To their credit, they did note it down and gave me a room on the same floor, maybe 10 rooms down the hall although I had to nag a few times to get the keys to the new room. The noise from high way was better. The next day, we were away from our room for 10 hours, only to return to a room without being cleaned (no, I didn't hang the privacy please sign). I asked for clean towels only since it was already late, again, to their credit, the towels were delivered promptly. There is a Hilton across the street, and a Holiday Inn. I hate to say it being a Bonvoy member, but I may want to try those next time I am in town.…
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much. The staff was extremely resourceful and warm (I traveled with three children so things got overwhelming at times) but there wasn’t a moment that we weren’t greeted by smiling staff. Stephanie was particularly helpful and kind. She knew all of the great local places for food and site seeing and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The rooms were extremely clean and renovated. We upgraded after a night and the upgrade wowed us even more. The pool and Jacuzzi were everything that I could ask for and more, the food was amazing (be sure to make a reservation for brunch)!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend staying here.
Our group had a special rate for our weekend stay, for a hockey tournament. I was initially told the rooms in our group were sold out but one might become available if one of the group canceled. I went ahead and booked. I called the front desk daily to ask about cancellation and was assured there was a note on my file to offer me any canceled room. A member of the group did cancel last minute but I was not given the room. I ended up paying $405 per night! The front desk and management will tell you whatever they need to for a booking. There are nicer places to stay in the area for half the money!
This is a far different Sheraton Laval from the one I used to frequent pre- pandemic - excellent job of renovation. Before I stayed there only because of location. Now I would happily go back because it has become a contemporary (with the times) property. Some minor quibbles: room is too dark; HVAC too noisy; bathroom on the small side. The food offerings were quite good.
Excellent spacious room, excellent covid measures, nice reception and welcoming. Some maintenance issues were seen although new hotel and that must be adressed. Would consider thisbplace if I'm in Montreal again as it is close to good restaurants and mall.
After a 10 hrs long drive along on icy snowy conditions on the Christmas day from Baie Comeau, my travel agent put me in to this hotel. Due to the tiredness had some supper and went to sleep, early. Next day/ boxing day, explore the surrounding and found many shopping mall's within touching distance to do boxing day sale bargain shopping😊😊 The food in the La Piazza Restaurant was excellent & I think I gained a few pounds eating there super taste food. The restaurant staff was very friendly and helpful 😊😊👍🏻 The checking counter staff and room service was excellent. The room and bed was large and very comfortable. My 3nights 4day stay at the Sheraton was very pleasing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My first time stayed here, It was a incredible experience. Thank you so much to Front office team for making my stay memorable. Special thanks goes to Marc-Andre Gagnon and Vitasha. She was one of the first person I spoke over the phone and she noted well what I need. Marc and Vitasha were very polite and professional. Will be definitely back again because of the service. Warmest regards to entire Sheraton team. NAS
I've stayed here 'pre-Covid' and the service & staff have always been excellent - agree with the previous reviewed that there will always be 'hiccups' at any property, but they handle them gracefully and effectively here. But this 'Covid' stay was a pleasant surprise compared to some other - and it comes down to feeling cared for. My check in was genuinely warm and cheerful, with the emphasis on 'please contact us if there is ANYTHING you need', much appreciated given the variability in hotel services these days. I also was contacted in the evening to ensure that everything was satisfactory with my room, and to confirm I didn't need anything. It somehow just felt very reassuring and cared for - despite the potentially unsettling circumstances. Excellent work!
