After a 10 hrs long drive along on icy snowy conditions on the Christmas day from Baie Comeau, my travel agent put me in to this hotel. Due to the tiredness had some supper and went to sleep, early. Next day/ boxing day, explore the surrounding and found many shopping mall's within touching distance to do boxing day sale bargain shopping😊😊 The food in the La Piazza Restaurant was excellent & I think I gained a few pounds eating there super taste food. The good: room was clean, parking was free, steps away from a shopping mall with a great selection of shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly.
The bad: as much as I wanted to like it, this is not up on the Sheraton standard. My first night was on the 4th floor next to the highway, the sound insulation was terrible, together with the noise from the old school air condition unit under the window (you know what I am talking about, you've seen them at model 6), I didn't sleep at all. I called at night to complain, they fully booked, so the front desk promised me to move me to a room away from the high way the next day. To their credit, they did note it down and gave me a room on the same floor, maybe 10 rooms down the hall although I had to nag a few times to get the keys to the new room. The noise from high way was better. The next day, we were away from our room for 10 hours, only to return to a room without being cleaned (no, I didn't hang the privacy please sign). I asked for clean towels only since it was already late, again, to their credit, the towels were delivered promptly.
There is a Hilton across the street, and a Holiday Inn. I hate to say it being a Bonvoy member, but I may want to try those next time I am in town.

If you want to shop this is a great place to stay, it is in front of a large mall with very nice stores. But, if you want to rest or do sightseeing of the city, this is not your place. We stayed in a suite. It was ok, but it was super loud. They were doing some renovations and at 8.30 am they starred drilling and banging the walls. Staff was great, that is something worth mentioning

We stayed at the Sheraton Laval during a family vacation. Whilst its location and the facilities were very good, as were the standard of rooms, the booking/room allocation policy was absolutely awful and I felt that we weren’t valued as guests.
When we checked in we discovered that much of the hotel was booked as accommodation for a teenage baseball tournament and we were placed in a room right in the middle of one of the teams. Every night we had teenagers continuously shouting, running down the corridors, playfighting and slamming doors repeatedly until late (until 2am on one of the nights). The soundproofing was poor, which didn’t help, and after reading other reviews it seems that this hotel is often used for similar groups/tournaments.
Whilst I wouldn’t ordinarily hold a hotel responsible for the behaviour of its guests, the teenagers behaved as I would expect a group of teenage boys to behave on such a trip and I therefore don’t know why the hotel thought that it was acceptable for other paying guests to be placed next to them and subjected to it.
I therefore wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families based on their booking policy and I would be extremely reluctant to stay here again.

My son (11yrs) and I stayed at this hotel as part of a group for a soccer tournament. The amenities were nice enough. When we arrived we were provided the rules which we had to sign and agree to: no running in hallways, no gatherings on the guests floors, etc.
While we obeyed the rules, we couldn’t sleep because the lobby music was so incredibly loud that we could hear the songs in our room on the second floor. When I called the guest services at 11:30pm, they told me it was out of their control and that there was no estimated time for the party to end. Given that we had a soccer game at 9am, that’s not what we wanted to hear.
They put me on hold several times, reduced the noise slightly, and told me I couldn’t have another room because it was all booked up. They also told me I could swing by the front desk in the morning for a free coffee…. Because that’s really going to fix our no sleeping situation. As guest services stated: “the coffee was a plus”.
As my son said: “ they have one thing that they have to be really good at and that’s ensuring their guests have a good sleep”. In this regard, they certainly failed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sheraton, so much that we returned within the same month! First off you can’t find a more perfectly located hotel in Laval. The lobby area was recently renovated, with a café section offering coffee and local products. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment to us, as we tried to visit in the morning and no one seemed to want to serve us. However, the front desk staff was incredibly helpful and nice. We booked the Residential suite, which was on a newly renovated floor. The amenities were spotless, gorgeous room with everything you might need. The shower was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. The kitchenette area had a table, and they provided a high chair for our baby when we requested it. After our awkward experience at the restaurant on our first visit, we ordered room service for breakfast the next time .The price is outrageous for the quality of the food and I would not recommend. The pool area is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. There is a hot tub, a dry and a hot sauna, and a perfect heated pool in a relaxing setting. We enjoyed both of our stays and will definitely visit again.

The room itself was a bit disappointing, with the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel. It was so small that the door could not fully open. However, the real issue was a group that was staying in the hotel for a hocket tournament. For some reason I was put in a room in the middle of that group, who decided to make the corridor their personal gathering area at 7am on a Saturday morning. Multiple people were hanging out in the corridor, chatting, laughing, drinking coffee, while the kids were literally shooting hockey pucks in the corridor. I went out 3 times asking them to please respect other guests, but they totally ignored me. I had booked the hotel to be able to enjoy a lazy morning after my work Christmas party, but ended up leaving early to get away from the noise. The front desk was empathetic, but the manager they called in was definitely not. She offered to give me some points, which I've now seen was only 1000 - she might as well have given me a few pennies. Terrible service - do not recommend this if you want any peace or quiet.

I was attending a conference and as usual when I used to come to Sheraton Laval they open the piano ( baby grand ) so that I play for 5 to 10 minutes , I play for Aznavour, Edith Piaf and Chopin. Some friends from the conference wanted to hear that as usual This time I was met by different stories why not opening the piano There was no match of any one of the told stories that made me wandering about this issue.
The lady at the reception was not nice and not professional when dealing with me as when I was communicating with her , she wanted to me to go a side while we did not finish.
My day was rowen because of this attitude. It was very simple thing that they used to do for me but this time it was unprofessional. I requested to talk to the manager , she came and was nice while explaining about that ( still different story) She wanted to know the names of the employees as she saw that I am a senior and observed that I was annoyed by their behaviour , I refused to tell her the names of the employees who were not professional. Hope next year ( if I will be still alive ) the piano will be opened for me so that I enjoy with my friends the 5 to 10 minutes play I am writing this to wash this inconvenience and unhappy event that could be fulfilled in nice way. Hopefully theses same employees come next year if they wish to hear what so ever they want on the piano or if they wish to hear waltz Brahms or Schubert music Sheraton hotels as usual are a place to enjoy and to meet persons with professionalism

I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years now. First it was for work, then whenever I was in Montréal for work of on personal travel I and my family stayed only at this hotel.
They are amazingly consistent in maintaining and improving everything a hotel is supposed to offer to both business and leisure travellers: spacious clean rooms, comfortable work area, super relaxing bed, gym with always latest equipment, pool ... I don't even want to start describing the pool area. Just look at the pictures. I simply don't know another hotel in their category with the kind of pool area Sheraton Laval has. A bit far from downtown, but I don't mind to drive and pay for parking downtown rather than stay in an overpriced downtown hotel with half of what this hotel has to offer. Close to shopping and good restaurants.
If you are thinking of staying here for the first time, give it a chance. You will love it. Even if something is wrong - for a large hotel "glitches" are expected to happen every once in a while - the hotel will fix it, because customer satisfaction is their top priority. Ignore bad reviews. People complain about noise from garbage trucks or noise in the hotel on the weekend - things they often don't have control over. After all, which hotel does not have a bit of noise on the weekend? C'mon... Just have proper expectations.

They do not have a shuttle. They offer a flat rate taxi, but I found their rate to be higher than what it actually cost me, by more than $20. It is quite close to the airport at highway speeds, around 20 minutes. The only way it would be cheaper is if you were travelling in rush hour, and reduced to a crawl.
There are more places to choose from in the Laval area.
