First of all, you'll be staying with an awesome guy, who's spirit is of a 25 years old. Secondly, everything is clean (especially the rooms, the bathrooms and the kitchen) and arranged like it's being run by the Swiss. Tony is very helpful and he dedicates time to show you around and get to know you. He is an interesting...

What can I say my friend, but say thank you for your heartfelt and personable review. Let me begin by emphasizing that our B & B establishment is for the young and old. We love it when both these age groups intermingle with helpful and though provoking insights from all sides. We also would like to thank you for trusting...

I really enjoyed staying at Tony's B & B and meeting Tony felt a bit like visiting a relative you haven't seen in a while. He's a great host and it was fun to either have a conversation with him or with the other guests I got to meet during the outstanding breakfast that Tony served (be in time before...

Very nice rooms, very accommodating, Tony is very friendly and provides a fabulous breakfast to start the day, with warm conversation as well. Air conditioned rooms help with the heat and humidity encountered during our stay. Definitely would visit again!

Wonderful stay at Tony's B&B! Two blocks from Orange line subway, clean, easy to get around, reminded me of San Francisco BART. 4 block walk to new little hip area Little Burgandy (coffee shop: September; drinks: Drinkerie Ste.Cunégonde) that reminds you of any gentrifying semi-hipster young neighborhood (Brooklyn, Ballard, West Loop, etc) and has the Corona Theater (saw a show...

We enjoyed our stay. Tony fosters an ambience so that guests feel right at home with the spirit to converse with each other and develop friendships casually. At night we would sit in the main living room to talk and share stories. He's very accommodating, very sharp and professional but relaxed. The rooms are quaint, comfortable with A/C, HDTV &...

Two night stay, good neighborhood location to explore by foot or bike. Short walk to restaurants and downtown is not very far. I was not aware that the bathrooms are shared, but fortunately this was not much of an inconvenience since there are three,...

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
