Studio Living could not have been better for us. It is an immaculately appointed apartment with a beautiful courtyard in a very vibrant part of the city. It is easily accessible to the metro and some very pleasant walking streets. The best part may be the hosts - Luc and Michel! They made us feel like we were staying with...

After our first stay at Studio Living in 2015 we couldn't wait to come back this year. And again we had a wonderful time in Montreal and enjoyed very much the comfort of our apartment and Michel's hospitality. If ever we come back to Montreal, and I'm sure we will, Studio Living is our first choice.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Studio Living. This was our 1st visit to Montreal and Michel was a great host. He provided a map of the city and took the time to map out several itineraries for us which encompassed a lot of what we wanted to see. The subways are in close proximity but we...

Not only was the apartment centrally located but the host, Michel was very friendly and accomodating. He went out of his way to show us the ins and outs of this great city in great detail. The street was very quiet... and yet, this stuido was located in a major city. Needless to say, it provided a very relaxing atmosphere....

Michel was super nice, greeting us before we even got out of our car. He gave a comprehensive tour of the apartment, booth explaining amenities and offering tips for contributing to the enjoyment of other guests. (Don't walk with shoes on, if you're on the top floor.) To help us out, he also explained Montreal's byzantine parking rules, pointed out...

Hey guys! Thanks for the detailed review! I'm glad you enjoy your stay and the little tips I gave you to start your little Montreal getaway!.. Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
