Overall this is the finest hotel near YUL. Front desk staff are polite and efficient, always well done. Excellent, free breakfast included is very appreciated. The onsite, Napa Lounge restaurant, provides an excellent meal at a very reasonable cost. Rooms a large and very well kept. Will be back!

Hotel's Favourite
Stayed overnight to allow car rental pickup in am (common theme). Hotel staff were very good and accomdating. Shuttle doesnt run after 10pm. Taxi ride ($18) reimbursed by hotel. Morning shuttle bus ran on schedule (albeit with a missing back window - I assume that will be fixed shortly). Room was modern, clean and good mattress. Didnt get to try pool or gym. Good option for an overnight stay near airport. Airport is adjacent to industrial park... no amenities nearby - driving required. Would definitely stay again!

Front desk girl was friendly , room seems nice & clean , BUT after travelling for 16 hours & very tired we wanted a quick bite to eat before going to bed , had to wait over 45 mins for a bowl of pasta !! When I said something to the waiter I was told well what do you expect there is only 1 chef in the kitchen !! There were at least 24 people in the restaurant- I think the management should realise that many guests are using the hotel for a stopover 1 night & are tired & have been travelling a long time & do not want to wait 45 mins to an hour for their food . The couple next to us said they had drunk a bottle of wine whilst waiting for their food. (incidentally they left most of their food) When our food eventually arrived - the salad consisted of only rocket leaves & 2 baby tomatoes & no dressing (not what was described on the menu or what one would think a side salad should consist of) And the pasta said it was with sausage & mushrooms with a crumble topping ?! no sight of the topping or mushrooms & about two small pieces of sausage. My advice would be avoid the restaurant at the hotel if you possibly can Oh and they played quite loud music & the lights were very bright !! Just Awful

Stayed here overnight and found it clean and comfortable. Large bathroom with walk in shower. Had supper in the restaurant and it was decent. My husband had the brunch which was tasty. The shuttle was on time and the driver was very friendly.

Booked the hotel from a Toronto. Expressed that we were celebrating 3 birthdays in addition to celebrating a wedding in Montreal . Expressed that we would be arriving late. Looked forward to using the hotel pool and hot tub. Spent more than we normally would on the hotel thinking it was the “Hilton” and the events we were celebrating. In desperate need of a holiday. We arrived at the hotel. I had to pay the entire stay up front which I did not like. In addition to that we had to pay a security fee which I have also never had to do for a hotel. Luckily I had it available. They also charged me 16 dollars a day for parking after telling me parking was included. Rushed to our room to shower after a 7 hour drive, preparing for rehearsal dinner. No shampoo in the bathroom and not enough towels. Waiting for the items made us late for the dinner. Arrived back at hotel at 1 am exhausted only to find there wasn’t any bedding in the room for the pull out sofa. After the phone rang 12 times they finally brought bedding up. It was inconvenient. The batteries on the tv remote control were dead. My sons girlfriend got stuck in the bathroom for 20 minutes. Locks on doors are safety features and the door lock was broken leaving her stuck in the bathroom. Thank goodness we returned to the room. The last day after all of the events we called the hotel And specifically asked what time the hotel was opened until. They advised us that the hot tub (repeating my words) was open until 10. We rushed back. Skipped going out for dinner so we could go back to enjoy the hot tub and pool. Changed clothing ran down. Got to the pool room to find the room empty. The hot tub empty!! Potted plants sitting in the hot tub . The pool was all cloudy and dirty looking the stairs leading into the pool were all covered with peeling paint . I don’t think I would even put my dog in the pool. We were all so entirely let down. We had spent 1200 plus dollars to stay in this hotel after 3 years of not having a holiday family vacation. Just mortified and disappointed and angry I went to the front desk . The receptionist said she could offer me 1 glass of wine for my troubles!! Lol I said I don’t drink. She then offered me a bottle of coke. She then told me I should have walked through and investigated the hotel the first day I was there. She didn’t have a manager to speak with and could not offer anything for my troubles. She then continued to make excuses for the state of the pool and hot tub and bleed Covid and me which was making me ever more upset. When your upset I don’t want to hear someone being sarcastic telling me I should have looked around when I had a busy schedule. When I book a hotel I expect things to be as they are in the photos . The hotel clearly has a photo of the pool with the hot tub posted and no wording stating anything was closed. They also did not tell me at time of booking and the worst thing is they did NOT tell me when I was deciding to take the family out for dinner or go back to the hotel for a relaxing evening by the hot tub. I still don’t understand why they did not say anything when I called to ask when it closed. I want to be credited back for the parking and for a portion of my stay. I also want the general manager to contact me. I was told there was not a manager on site last night. Today I was told they would have a duty manager on only at 3 today obviously after my check out. The general manager would not be in until maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. It’s also upsetting to find out when you see Hilton’s name on the listing it doesn’t mean it is the Hilton. It’s only a hotel privately owned and just affiliated with Hilton. Clearly not the same standards. When you looked out my window it was all bird poop and a garden growing out on the roof top. The plants in the hot tub. Clearly the Hilton garden inn.

Good points: The hotel is close to the Dorval airport and it has a free shuttle. The internet speeds are not too bad. Bad points: Front desk staff checking in on Saturday morning was totally incompetent and unhelpful. I got there at 0830 AM and I was waiting for my room at 245PM even if I had a reservation and I'm a Gold Elite member. The young Spanish speaking lady checked in and gave rooms to guests that arrived way later and she totally forgot me, even if I was right in front of her face all the time. No greetings whatsoever arriving the the hotel. No education, unacceptable. The rooms are ok but they are old and the washroom shower drain has a strong smell of mould. Hair from previous clients were found on the floor.

I wish I can put zero star, they don't deserve anything. My experience with Holiday Inn Express, they have charged my credit card 297.50$ and my deposit of 50$ for a mess I did not do. I have been going back and forth with them since August 18, a day after my checkout. Even the IHG customer service not helping me, they kept saying "you have to dispute with the management of the hotel. On August 18, when I called the reception, they told me "you are very dirty, the room was very dirty", I felt so insulted, I asked to speak to the manager right away. I told them all I left were four small boxes of recycled material and one shopping bag, so, I demanded proof. It should not cost 297.50$ and 50$ for the small recyclables boxes. I spent over three thousand dollars for 11 days. I only had one cleaning done and did they not even provide refill of toiletries. The manager said she would send me the pictures right away and hung up on me while I was still speaking. I emailed them and they did not send any pictures, I had to reach the head office customer service for them to send me pictures. They only sent the pictures after demanding 4 days. In the photos, I was shocked to see the horrible mess that was made BY THE HOTEL, not me, not my family. The janitor and manager put all the sheets on the floor, pillow, kicked the boxes and put the contents all over the floor and tables/counters. I had made sure to put everything in garbage or in the small boxes to help with cleaning. I never leave a messy room, the only things I left were boxes. This is a criminal act, this is a fraudulent activity, and this is a hate incident. I filed a police report, I am not sure how I can do it since I am now in Kangirsuk a thousand miles away from Montreal. I was waiting for proof to do more action against them now that I have STAGED pictures I can go ahead to file hate incident and fraud. I know for a fact I am being targeted since I am Native (Inuit), this is not the first time I have been targeted in the city. I have experienced many racism, this is by far the worse encounter. I have never felt so violated in my life. I am a frequent traveler to Montreal and internationally. Now I will have a new phobia to take pictures of the hotel room when I enter it and when I leave, I will now have to ask the reception to inspect my room before I leave in fear of this happening again. Someone from my mutual friends has agreed to help me file a human right complaint. I am completely traumatized by this experience. I urge all future travellers never to stay there, if you do by chance stay there take PICTURES at checkin and checkout!! the janitors are criminals and they are working with the general manager Leila!!

For a three star express hotel for a business stay, it was not an average stay. The room had the bare minimum, with a small tv, a low pressure shower, and the worst- the drapes/curtains were only for ornamental purposes, and therefore, UNABLE TO CLOSE. This is a critical staple for privacy, and in our case, should have been there to block the blinding sun in our eyes in the morning. I’ve never been to a hotel without curtains. The sheers are not enough! The in-room air conditioner was loud, and the sofa bed was questionable. At least the bed was good for some sleep. The hotel is not close to nice restaurants. Next time will check into a hotel closer to the other hotels and restaurants. Rate is 2.5

Disappointing. The hotel amenities state that there is a 24 hour free airport shuttle bus, it does not run 24 hours. We had to pay for a taxi back to the airport. There was a cold water dispenser with lemons in the lobby but it was empty. A coffee machine was provided in the room, however, of the 3 coffee pods one was used and only thin plastic cold beverage cups were provided. The room was big, shows signs of wear but the air conditioning worked well and the bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel is a typical airport hotel, not much going on.

Rounding up from a 2.7. Lots of really dismal reviews on this place, was forced to stay here due to Grand Prix weekend cancellation at other property and want to offer comments. By far not "the worst ever" but needs many infrastructure and service improvements. First, this is an AIRPORT hotel. Hint, next to an airport will sound like airplanes and be loud. Airports are transit hubs and there are lots of trucks around. North-end rooms are loud but the "01" king suites have a great view of an active runway if you like to watch planes. Being next to an airport it is also the "middle of nowhere" if you don't have a vehicle. These are facts of life for an airport hotel and don't influence this rating or review. Pros: 1) Staff were friendly and helpful, just really overworked. Be kind y'all. 2) Hotel honoured their price for the Grand Prix weekend (price locked in months earlier at low rate) and didn't jack us around for increases like some downtown hotels will. $250/night for a suite is pretty cheap rate. 3) Lobby and gym were nice and clean, gym well equipped (weights, cardio, floor space, mutli gym). Pool looked nice. 4) King balcony suites are huge (we had 2), with full living/dining room, kitchette/bar, fold out, separate bedroom, bathroom with both shower stall and full tub (01 suite). 5) Shuttle drivers were all very helpful. FYI book shuttles in advance through the front desk. Quick trips to the airport (10 min or less). 6) There is a free play classic arcade game in the mezzanie! 7) Parking was free. Meh: 1) Resto has short hours, meh food, no room service. 2) Other food options limited on delivery apps due to location - highly recommend Lachine Arena Pizza on the apps. 3) Mattress was a bit on the soft side. 4) 25% of pillows were feather in a "no feathers" request. Cons: 1) Lack of maintenance shows in-room: worn floor where there was hole under the fake wood, broken toilet handle, some stains on bathroom wall, ratty faux leather dining table seats, water damage on wall next to bathtub.Every floor lamp had a broken switch and, like a peasant, you had to just plug them into the wall for light. Some hallways had SMELLS. 2) Lack of housekeeping - will only make up a room on request and for a fee if stay is less than 5 days. No garbage collection on weekend (put out garbage on a Friday that sat till Monday, cool!). 3) Parking lot is sketchy - no access control (except for the broken/rusty Chevy Express blocking one exit) and only half the lights work. Unsafe. 4) the balcony of the suite was damp/disgusting and the door to it fit poorly. Could hear the wind whistling through. Tip: Get a King Balcony Suite - Massive space. The "01" King suites face north and the airport, are noisier but you get to see planes AND they have both a shower and full bath. The "35" King suites face the parking lot (no separate shower). It's not dismal or flop BUT it needs maintenance.
