A great pick for Montreal visit. It was clean and modern. The dest staff was lovely. It was a good location in walking distance to some great restaurants, old Montreal and chinatown. We lived the pool and hot tub area as well. Everything you could ask for.

Clean rooms, soft linens and big rooms, we love this hotel and make regular stays here when passing Montreal. We found this gem while searching for hotel pools during a long road trip and their pool is indeed amazing. Only downside is the tight garage and parking charge but still the best in the area.

What a nice way to please the patient! An upgrade again, due to Bonvoy Gold (not even platinum!) status. Amazing staff to welcome you as if you were family. Pool and nice amenities. Nice, large and pretty clean room with a view. Well situated near Train Station and all the great restaurants. A gem, but don’t tell anyone!

Overall, the hotel is really good. It’s well located with convenient indoor parking. It’s a newer hotel with modern design and it was clean and in great shape. The amenities are great, including decent gym and in-room Nespresso machine. The room was fairly spacious and the bed was ultra comfortable. The room layout wasn’t typical and might not be for everyone in that there was no separate, full bathroom, but rather a water closet for the toilet, a shower closet and then a sink/vanity in the room (ie no closed entry). It worked for us though we tend to prefer a typical bathroom set up. However, it seemed to make good use of space in the room. We brought our dog on the trip since the hotel is pet friendly. He was happy with the stay, too!

I have stayed here before and once again it did not disappoint. Great location great clean modern rooms. I asked in advance for an early check in and was pleasantly surprised that room was ready when we checked in. Staff is professional and pleasant. This will be my choice of stays every time I visit Montreal. Thank you for a great stay.

We have been staying in this hotel whenever we are in Montreal. We like this hotel because of the lap pool on the top floor. However this has been the worst experience so far … and we are not sure we will be back. 1. The toilet was not flushing and the phone did not work. I have to go down stairs to the front desk for them to send someone up to fix the problems. The guys fixed the toilet but did not know about the phone. He ended up changing the hand set and then the cradle to get it working. 2. The internet connection kept dropping. My wife complained to the front desk daily. They told her they would send someone to check on it. No one ever came. 3. This was the first time we noticed they were serving breakfast on the second floor. I called the front desk to check if breakfast was included and was told it was. We went down for breakfast and was presents a bill afterwards. I complained to the front desk and was suggested either I was lying. OK. While this is definitely not the Ritz Carlton with the $2,000 golden rule, the least I expected from the front desk people is not to abuse their customers. Not at all a happy (gold status) camper

My partner and I had an extremely horrible experience with this hotel, AC Hotel by Marriott. First of all, the staff were quite rude. We were not happy with the king size room we had as it did not have a proper bathroom. It was a terrible layout with basically a closet with a toilet in it. And the shower was in a closet too. There was only a thin glass door, with a large opening above, that separated the toilet and the shower from the room. There was no privacy. We addressed this concern with the front desk staff, to only be treated with disrespect and attitude. Very defensively, she barked that this was what we had booked and pictures were provided online and that we knew this upon booking the room. In the (one) photo of the king-size room online, what turned out to be the toilet and shower comes across more like an accent wall. It does not come across as a bathroom. The front desk staff lied to us, saying there were multiple photos to see. Obviously if we knew about this situation we would have declined this hotel and booked one of the many other hundreds of hotels in Montreal. The manager’s explanation was that this concept, at this specific hotel, is “Spanish”, which made no sense. After going back and forth with the manager, we were moved to another room (with two queen beds) that had a bathroom, however this room had problems too: the bathroom sliding door would not stay closed. It would slide open about 4-6 inches, and when closing the bathroom door, there would be a loud BANG each time. The railing and door fixture would smack against each other causing an enormous loud noise. The room was situated right across the housekeeping room. We were getting all sorts of noises in the mornings as they would come and go. Not at all a peaceful stay. Furthermore, we often stumbled over certain areas of the carpet in front of our room, which had bumps due to the carts from housekeeping going back and forth. We brought this up with the front desk staff, whose behaviour was extremely unprofessional. She said “What now? We already moved you to a different room.” The problems with this current room had nothing to do with the issues of the first room that we’d booked. Just because we were moved, are we supposed to accept all these problems? This is not how a “four-star” hotel should treat paying guests. We asked for the manager once again and addressed the issue with the loud bathroom door noise and he said maintenance staff will be up to fix the problem. The problem was not fixed, however, and we had to again ask for the door to be fixed. Once it was finally fixed, the door then did not stay closed at all. We had to resort to using a towel inserted in the large gap between the door and the wall in order to keep the door closed. Our experience and level of comfort was horrible. The service from the front desk staff was horrible. Don’t stay at this hotel and instead choose another one of the many hotels in downtown Montreal.

Dear past guest, We are sorry to hear your stay at the AC Marriott Montreal did not meet your expectation when it came to our King room design. AC Hotels by Marriott are classified as a selected services property. They were thoughtfully designed for the modern travelers who prefers fewer things that are better than good. AC Hotels by Marriott are minimalist offering modern rooms, stylish but yet efficient. You had the chance to discover our AC signature King Rooms which are an open concept room. The bathroom has been opened to offer space and light through the room. As the signature King Rooms are what distinct us from our competitor, they represent 80% of the inventory of King rooms in our property. We do have some King rooms upgrades which offer a more traditional closed bathroom however, it is subject to availability upon arrival and can not be guaranteed. Furthermore, We would like to apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay with us. The experience you described is not characteristic of the level of service our associates strive to provide. Maintenance issues can raise without warning and we are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations when it came to resolve the situation. As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place to prevent this issue from occurring in the future. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us as it helps us see our product through the eyes of our valued guests. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us at the AC Marriott Montreal.

Really really nice hotel to stay at when in Montreal. The hotel itself is very nicely designed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Very nice pool/gym area. Close to dining and shopping. Parking was convenient as well. I found all the staff I encountered to be very nice.

Strange minimalist design concept and will certainly win over some people and lose others. The King room is very spacious with a comfy bed, rain shower, Korres toiletries, Nespresso coffee and English TV channels. Convenient location. Room looks over the main street and was quiet. Plenty of plugs all around the room to charge electronics. Lot of lighting choices. Stocked with plenty of towels including ones for the pool. Robe provided. Floor to ceiling windows invite sunlight. Single sofa and desk chair that does the job. Nice and cozy seating options in the lobby. Enjoyed my stay overall. Not so happy that housekeeping placed a small, folded towel next to the soap as a welcoming sign, and failed to notice a very obvious piece of long hair embedded in the wash cloth. Made me question the attention to detail. So, didn't use any further housekeeping service. Although the room feels spacious, not sure if it is worth losing privacy if sharing the room. What is questionable: shower and toilet are contained in separate closets that have open cutouts. So, after showering or using the toilet, you will step out into the room and so will any odors. The heating circulated between hot and cold at times.

Decided to spend a few days in Montreal and was looking for a nice and convenient place to stay. AC Hotel Montreal is centrally located to everything and everywhere I wanted to be during my trip. The staff were amazing - Front Desk, the Lounge, even Housekeeping were all super friendly and accommodating. Rooms and public spaces were are very clean. Of note though, carpet on the 9th floor seemed to be buckling in certain places.
