I chose this hotel based on the reviews, and I can say that all that I read was right on point. The hotel was great, my room was perfect, the location was close enough to everything that I had on my list to do, but not right in the craziness of the city. This was my first trip to Montreal,...

This is a lovely hotel in a convenient location. The staff is very friendly, attentive and efficient. We enjoyed our upper floor 'Verriere' room with its floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately, we noticed that the sheets were stained and contained a stray hair. I agree with the concierge that this was probably from the housekeeping staff. However, I was less...

This is a fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. Very little street traffic only a few blocks from high traffic areas. Quiet. Extremely well maintained. Excellent metro access. Exceptionally helpful and attentive staff. My wife is an architect and she was blown away by the elegance and sophistication of the suite design with the soaking tub with the slide-away...

Myself and my parents stayed in Montreal for 3 nights. The hotel is situated in the downtown district of Montreal, and whilst this is nothing to write home about, the hotel really made up for the lack of things to see and do in the town! Loved this hotel! The location is wonderful for a center of the city stay - next to McGill, just off Rue St Catherine's, and with the now revitalized Crescent Street with its restaurants just 5 min walk away. Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.

Run of House, or ROH, generally means you will be staying in a room decided upon by the hotel. In it's simplest form, ROH means you will get whatever room is available at the time you check-in.
