We returned to this place in 2024 as we really enjoyed our last stay in this hotel in 2023. Realitively easily reachable by Uber or bus 747 from the airport, and situated in a charming heritage building. All this guarantees a pleasant stay. And as a bonus: a simple but decent breakfast was included in the room price.

We stayed here on two occasions in August 2023, 3 nights all in all. The hotel has a great location very close to a metro stop and when we took the 747 airport bus in more or less the middle of the night the walk to the bus stop also didn’t take us more than about 15 minutes. If you leave or arrive during the night you check in or out next door at Sens Høtel – very convenient! The area was also very much to our liking with lots of great food options from everywhere in the world. We tried Chinese soup dumplings and Indian street food eg. Staff was very nice and helpful – gave helpful tips and advice and stored our luggage when we were too early for check in/checked out, but were not leaving until the evening. Our rooms were not large, but we had enough space, and they were very comfortable. We especially liked the bathrooms. Breakfast did not have the largest selection, but the food was good and we left full and satisfied. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to walk a lot of stairs, so be aware if you have mobility issues. All in all a very nice hotel in a great location that we for sure can recommend.

I have mixed views about staying here. On arrival you are greeted by a number of steps just to get to reception than with no lift/elevator you have to lug your bags up more stairs, we were on the third floor, good job we were both fit and able! Reception staff were always helpful and friendly but we did need to wait some time to be attended to due to several people waiting. Our twin room was satisfactory with comfortable beds. There was a coffee machine and fridge. The bathroom was basic. Breakfast was included and consisted of a cold buffet. The breakfast room was rather small and the choice of food limited but it gave us a start to the day. The hotel is conveniently situated for the metro and restaurants, etc and there is a small supermarket nearby. So apart from the many stairs and limited breakfast our stay was OK.

This hotel is run by thieves. They canceled my reservation because the hotel was overbooked, and refused to return the money. I arrived for check-in and I was not allowed to check-in as it was full. It was booked through Priceline, and Priceline reached out to them, and they dishonored the request calling it a show.

We had a very happy stay here. Location is exceptional with easy access to the sights and close to the metro. The rooms aren't huge but feel bigger than they are due to the high ceilings in this old house. Decor is simple but inoffensive - if you want a hyper modern look go elsewhere. The bathroom was small but adequate. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the lovely dining room. We met a number of different staff at reception who were charming and helpful with the exception of one lady who didn't seem to want to offer any help and was rather patronising, suggesting we use Google to get our info!

The website doesn't give an honest picture of the standard rooms. We thought we were booking a clean updated room. What we got was old, chipping paint, moldy bath hard bed grosse old carpet and on top of that the room was SUPER HOT!!!! Ridiculous! We asked about the heat she sent maintenance up and they said it's FINE!! There isn't any temperature control in the rooms as they control the temperature and had turned off the AC.. ARGHH it's wasn't fine so thankkkgod they gave us another room which is the only reason I upgraded my review to a 3 star rather than a 1! My advice is if your booking here DONT get a standard room! Even the suite was updated and beautiful 4* but warm, not as bad as the other rooms still no temperature control.

Very tatty - really needs a lick of paint - NO elevator - huge flight of stairs up to hotel and then two further flights up to room - receptionist not keen on arranging help - so we struggled with large cases. Halls and rooms all terrible tatty - desperate need of redecoration - hole in wardrobe door - looked like someone kicked it? Paint chipped everywhere and wallpaper pealing. Many plug sockets not working in room - breakfast ok - although had to ask for bowls both days - even though staff there - were sat on stairs at rear of breakfast room chatting. Many items ran out and took a while to replenish - few tea choices - and water not very hot. No glasses for juice. All in all very disappointing- only up side - close to at Catherine’s st and lots of restaurants etc

The hotel is quaint and ideally positioned for walking up to Mont Royal. There is a metro station close. We found it more pleasant to eat downtown than locally having to get the metro each night. We also found the hotel more shabby than chic. Our room has various areas where repairs were needed. We did not really find the staff that approachable and none of them looked happy to be there. Checkin was quite a painful affair since so many if the rooms were not ready at 3pm so we were all hanging around the breakfast area until our rooms were ready. The breakfast was a nice surprise, although a little basic and the coffee was not great. The Nespresso machine in the room was great though.

They say location is everything and this place checks the boxes. Walking distance to Mont Royal. One block from a subway station and their transit is really simple. Lots of city buses going back and forth. Two blocks from a Tim’s and Starbucks. Many different types of restaurants all within walking distance. Walk to st Catherine street where all the shops are. Super location. Only thing is they do have parking but it’s only for small cars but there is a parking lot two blocks up the street. Staff are friendly and room was nice. Breakfast was lovely.
