Staff member Rui should be recognized. He works in the parking area, and went out of his way to ensure my husband and I (and everyone else) were taken care of. Offering to get taxis, umbrellas, Rui went above and beyond to keep checking in with everyone to see if he could help out. People like Rui is why the Hotel Omni has such a great reputation.

The Hotel itself was a great hotel in a great location at a reasonable price for downtown Montreal. The rooms were spotless, spacious and very comfortable with a very large and modern bathroom but the best feature of the hotel by far was the Valet attendant, PIERRE!!! We have never met a more accommodating hotel employee in our life. From the time we pulled into the hotel until the minute we left the next day, Pierre went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our stay every time we passed through the lobby and always asked if we needed anything. He apologized to us when we first arrived that he would not be able to park our truck for us because the Hotel does not "allow" them to park trucks anymore due to a new policy. So what does he do, he literally walks me directly to the parking lot across the street and explains everything I need to know from there. Pierre has been working at this Hotel for 41 years and in my opinion, should be the highest paid employee there. If you want your hotel business to succeed, it starts with people like Pierre. On top of all this, he had us in tears laughing so hard every time we saw him and is literally the nicest guy we have ever met. Hotel Omni Mont-Royal, you need to reward this man in a big way because I guarantee you, people return to your hotel strictly because of him, I know we will!!!

This is our 2nd stay at the Omni Mont Royal and hopefully not our last. We had a warm and welcoming check in and settled into our room. We noticed some water on the floor later that evening and called the front desk. They sent somebody up right away and told us there was a slight leak around one of the seals on the toilet. The gentleman that came up was very kind and professional. He told us the water had to be shut off until it was repaired. It was 11:00 pm and we were very tired. The front desk called us and told us they had another room for us and was an upgrade on a higher floor. They dispatched Charles to help move all our stuff to the new room. Charles was super helpful and very kind. We loved our new room and were all settled in very quickly. The next day we got a handwritten apology letter and a basket of beautiful chocolates and cookies. I travel a fair bit and that level of customer service is very rare.

The room was large, clean, comfortable and well appointed. We ate one breakfast buffet ($25) and it was well worth it. So much good food and an amazing level of customer service.

I wish other hotels would take note of this and learn from the team at Omni Mont Royal.

We were in the city for 3 days, on a mini vacation. I've stayed in the city many times but this was our first visit to this hotel. As far as location goes, it was great, very close to all attractions. Check-in was very fast, very easy, and we were able to check into our room 4 hours early. The room itself was okay, a little dated but clean and the view was great. Most of the staff was very nice, the doorman, the front desk staff, but the lady that was working on the 3rd floor fitness area was very rude. We walked down to check it out as we were leaving the hotel to grab a bite to eat. She didn't say hello, she simply said "ummm excuse me" in a very abrupt manner. So we asked where the pool was (I was tired, I meant jacuzzi), she said "Umm it's outside". We felt extremely unwelcome. When I corrected myself, she said it's right over there but then asked if we were just coming from outside because she didn't want us to get dirt on the floor.... first of all, I get that you don't want people tracking dirt, salt etc. from their outdoor footwear into this area, however, there are much more polite and welcoming ways of going about it. When I explained that we were not outside, we were coming from our room, she just asked for our room key and that was it. If the rest of the staff was like this, I'd never go back to this hotel. On the day of checkout, there was a charge on my credit card for the bar at this hotel, which we didn't visit. I called down to the front desk, the person who answered the phone was very nice, very helpful and very professional. He called me back within 5 minutes, explaining that it was indeed an error and they had it reversed right away. Also, the cleaning staff: they are very diligent, so much so that on two of the mornings we were still in our room (with the door latched from the inside) they knocked and we were still asleep, they tried to enter the room, so if you're inside your room, make sure you put your do not disturb sign on the door until you leave the room in the morning.

I have been to the omni once before and my friend Injured herself here as something fell on her so we were given a upgrade to a suite next time we book. We decided to use it with our friends for the evening and just relax.

Our room was great 2 tv’s 2 bathrooms large couch that pulled out and a huge fluffy bed.

Cons: the shampoo and body wash wasn’t very good I brought my own but my guests didn’t enjoy it.
-Two cans of 7up cost us a fortune to room
Service.
-view all we saw was cranes and people working on the building across the street.
- they lock the changing rooms where the steam sauna is to relax after the hot tub which sucked.

Last summer when we rented it in hopes of the pool being open and it wasn’t which sucked because nobody wants to just sit in a hot tub on a hot summer day.

The place is beautiful when you walk in summer or winter but would I want to return after the incidents that we had not really.

I have stayed in this hotel several times, the last stay being in September 2023. The hotel’s nightly rate has always been quite reasonable (approximately U.S. $160 per night), making it one of the cheapest options in Montreal. For this reasonable price, the hotel provides very good quality in everything.
The hotel’s location is not exactly in the city center of Montreal, but the distance to the heart of Montreal is walkable (or about an 8-minute taxi ride). During the daytime and early evenings, the hotel always had a concierge who helped with opening doors and luggage. The hotel’s building looks nice and well-maintained both from the outside and the inside. The hotel’s lobby is very beautiful. The front desk staff were always nice and helpful, and they always fulfilled my pre-arrival requests for a room on a high floor with the best city view.
All the rooms I stayed in looked very similar and were designed almost identically. They were all pretty big, always very clean, and the housekeepers did a great job with cleaning. Maybe the rooms, in general, looked slightly outdated; some pieces of furniture were not fresh and had scratches. Usually, I got rooms with King beds, which were very comfortable. I can only mention an old outdated TV in every room I stayed in. I remember that I couldn’t watch TV because I couldn’t even connect my iPad to it. The bathrooms were always big, with a separate toilet section. Having a bathtub in my rooms was always a big plus. However, I didn’t like the bathroom amenities much; they were of okay quality.
I also need to point out that the hotel has a very nice rooftop with outstanding views of Montreal (a great place for a photoshoot).
To conclude, I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay in Montreal.

Yes, you can also have a served breakfast – or a combination. But we sure prefer the buffet style, where you can decide yourself – and do it quickly. Buffet style breakfast is standard in Europe, but not in North America – and it is a pity.
Location of the hotel is fine, not much noise in the rooms – but still a little. Rooms including beds are fine.
Bathroom fine – of course an engineer exam would help when you try to make the shower function (but we have met this old-fashioned system earlier in North America).
In 2024 WiFi should be well functioning – but here it is rather lousy – much too slow and unstable – it should be upgraded ASAP

We have spent some wonderful days at the Hotel. The common areas are very well maintained and the decoration is of good taste. Our reservation did not include breakfast but we were able to see the very nice breakfast room. The Lobby and Bar had a very good atmosphere every afternoon and it was a pleasure to have a drink to rest when arriving at the Hotel. All the hotel staff is charming and decisive. Check in and check out was very fast and efficient. The wonderful double room, with a small living room and large windows that allowed for lots of light, on the 18th floor. The wonderful beds for a restful sleep. The bathroom is very complete, although without a shower and with a bathtub, but with very good lighting, a huge and practical marble countertop to support everything that is used in the bathroom and large, loving towels. We missed slippers as we had 2 great bathrobes. Also iron and ironing board and safe. Furthermore, the closet was huge, which is always appreciated on transatlantic trips with a lot of clothes. The machine and free coffee in the room are a plus every morning as well as the refrigerator to chill water which is also free. And we asked the bellman to bring us ice even though the ice dispenser was broken on the 18th floor. Lastly, you can only go up to the floors by elevator if you are a customer and only with the room key. This gives a lot of peace of mind for safety but makes it difficult to go to other plants, as was our case, looking for ice. Otherwise, it is very well located next to the Mc Gill University campus, on a busy and pleasant street (Sheerbroke). We will return for sure. It has excellent quality-price ratio. The hallways and rooms need to be updated a little but nothing relevant.

Excellent family stay in August 2021. There to check out McGill campus for one of our kids, and do some sightseeing. Great location for the university, Plateau, downtown, Old Port etc. Spacious rooms well appointed and clean. Pool is great and especially appreciated the outdoor pool during Covid. A bit awkward moving through gym/hot tub area where people were unmasked, in order to get to the pool. Please move to a different system for shampoo etc to avoid all the small bottles for environmental reasons.

We stayed here for two nights. We had the one-bedroom suite. This hotel is completely outdated. Everything is old and feels old.

The sofa bed we needed the use was so old that springs were off and constantly make a weird squeaky sound; I mean non-stop. The heating/cooling system is old, so if you are there in transitional seasons when some days cold and some days hot, the chances are that you will either be super cold in your room or super hot because they cannot have both systems running at the same time. In our case, we were there when Montreal suddenly got very cold. So we were freezing in our room, until we were notified that the hotel finally decided (perhaps due to many complaints) to turn on their central heating system. I was shocked to see no water in the room, not even to sell. If you need water in the middle of the night, you need to go downstairs and get it from the reception. The bathrooms were both clogged and water was not going down easily. The hotel does not have a proper restaurant onsite. They serve you breakfast in a tiny place and for that we needed to stand in line for over 40 minutes for someone to come and say hello to us. Three families ahead of us were fed up with the situation and left. The second morning, we did not even bother. When I called the front desk to tell them about the bed, a lady by the name of Melissa, told me "such is life, it is not perfect, problems happen unfortunately." I was shocked.

So all and all, we travel a lot. This was probably the 20th hotel we stayed at this Summer between the US, Canada and Europe. Stay away from this one. With their pricing, you can do a lot and I mean it a lot better.
