Stayed at this hotel March 7th and 8th. The hotel was easy to get to and parking was simple. When we arrived the doorman/valet allowed us to park in the Valet spot to check in and then we just moved the car ourselves to the parking garage as we were leaving it for 2 days. Self parking was $25/day and...

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Chateau Champlain Mar 17 and 18th. We arrived early which was no problem for the reception staff as they had a room ready for us. And what a room!....1302 was spacious, clean, incredibly comfortable King size bed, but most of all was the view. The room overlooked the city and what a...

Although the hotel may need a bit of sprucing up, it still does the job. This is by far the most quiet hotel I have ever been to. The service was very good. Location was ideal. Metro is located one floor down from the hotel. Pool and fitness room was very well kept. Starbucks in the hotel = bonus. Overall,...

Stayed for one night for a Bell Centre show. We were right across from the elevators, which I was correct to be apprehensive about (we were there for one night and my friend did not want to deal with switching rooms, so it was fine for us). However, there was a big hockey tournament going on, which caused for some...

Marriott Chateau Champlain is central to shopping, dining, Centre Bell (NHL, concerts); indoor access to the underground mall system. We have been staying here for years. the building is getting a bit run down, but always Marriott quality as far as cleanliness and comfortable bedding. Ask for a room facing the front; city/mount Royal view. great view on this side.

Everything is fluid and goes whitout worries. Rooms are perfect. This is defenitively one of my favorite Marriott hotel. The hotel is perfect for business trips and is near almost everything. I strongly recommend.

Loved the hotel. Was clean and staff friendly. Fitness center was much larger than I expected. One part I didn't like was the bar. Service was great but drinks were priced over the top. Other than that, everything was great.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It has lots of old beautiful features yet it is also modern. Our room had a great view of the city, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Bell Centre and lots of shopping and restaurants. The hotel has underground parking for an additional fee. The...

My husband, son and I traveled to Montreal to attend a Canadiens/New York Islanders game. The hotel was in walking distance of the Bell Centre and just about everything else. We had no complaints about any aspect of our stay. Our room was ready when we arrived and had a lovely view of the city. The room was clean and...

Central location and perfect if you are going to a game at the Bell Centre. Only a block away and easy to walk to. Plenty of food options within walking distance and 2 food courts serving a wide variety. Ice skating rink is indoors and a block away inside a commercial complex. Ask for a room with a view and...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
