Relaxing, friendly and comfortable place. The owners were terrific, advising us on nearby restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was wonderful with homemade breads and fruit compotes. No problem storing extra luggage and bikes. Parking is off site and several blocks away.

I am pleased that you had a lovely respite in our inn. We enjoy helping our guests discover the beautiful city that we love. There are several surface and underground lots within a couple of blocks from our hotel and the receptionist can provide parking options upon check-in. Thanks for your review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome...

We saw this beautiful property on the web and decided to give it a try....very glad we did- the building itself is remarkable but no less so is the friendliness of the staff! The room was perfect...small but totally comfortable, the location made walking to almost any where in downtiwn Montreal or the Old Port a breeze, and last but...

Just stayed the night but room was nice and being downtown was perfect. Walked to old Montreal from the hotel and spent the day. Owner came through the breakfast room and chatted with me for a bit. It was exactly want you want and expect when you stay at place like this. Would go back in a heart beat. 2...

Being in a historic building, we do not have an elevator; however, we are always pleased to help guests with their luggage. Though we do not have...

Very professionally owner operated hotel. The owner is a hands on operator who makes sure you have a great hotel experience. The breakfast is beautifully presented with just made assortment of fresh breads, pastries, fruit juices etc. The atmosphere is Straight out of Downton Abbey. You expect Cora to come down the stairs. Our room was a premium and at...

Gorgeous old place, beautifully fixed up. (You will love the elegant woodwork in the breakfast room.) Friendly staff (and owner), great breakfast, perfect location--easy walk to the old city, Chinatown, etc., Metro station not far, and between the two streets you'll surely want to stroll. So good I almost don't want to spread the word!

Our family of three (two adults and one toddler) greatly enjoyed our three nights at the Victorian Manoir Sherbrooke. It is centrally located on Rue Sherbrooke right off of Rue Saint-Laurent in the artistic Quartier Latin, not far from the Place des Arts and with close Metro access. The manoir was much more of a B&B than a hotel. Employees...

Thank you for your comments. I am pleased that you enjoyed your three night stay in our inn. In comparison with other North American cities, Montreal with its dual languages, does have a European feel and with the Canadian dollar at an all time low, a great value for tourists. Our aim is to help our guests discover Montreal and...

We felt so lucky to have found this place. Friendly, helpful hosts. Lovely breakfast. They even had gluten free bread on hand for my husband who has celiac disease. After exhausting ourselves wandering around the city, it was so nice to sit in the parlor with a cup of tea. Our rooms were comfortable, quiet, and spacious.

From the moment we arrived at Manoir Sherbrooke, I knew it was a gem. The feel is that of a B&B. This hotel is quite new from what I've heard, so there were still some renovations here and there that were going on. But it didn't detract at all from my stay! They were barely noticeable, honestly. Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
