I stayed there for a few days and I arrived so early and they accepted my luggage and offered me a room to freshen up and perform my religious duties. The place has no elevator and it looks like an old renovated building with high ceelings and luxury bath. The place is green and very safe during the night.

My partner and I booked a room here last minute and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Check-in was smooth and the staff were always ready to help and very friendly. Our room was beautiful with a high ceiling and gorgeous view of the street. The building makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to when it was built, but with modern appliances and amenities. The bed was so comfortable and we were happy to see the efforts to be environmentally conscious with eco-friendly toilet paper/tissues and shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers instead of single-use containers. The hotel lobby is also a cozy café with the most delicious food and coffee. Try the avocado toast and gravlax bagel! We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Came twice in 2 weeks because of the value and location. Very simply rooms, no frills, but cute decor. Very Victorian meets hipster chic. I’m fairly easy to please so I had no complaints. My second stay was a MUCH cuter room. It had a little fireplace (no heat) and faced the street with an updated bathroom. It was room 221 if you want to request it.
Great front room for working and a lovely little dining area with bench seating.
I didn’t partake in breakfast since it was cheaper to just hit up timmies 1 block down. 2 blocks from St.Catherines shopping street and 10 minute walk to the Eaton Center. Photos are screen shots from a video so not the best but gives you an idea of room 221.

Such a great location near McGill, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, but try the cafe in the hotel first. Great espresso drinks, teas, baked goods and prepared breakfasts. Friendly service. Comfortable rooms, soft beds and feather pillows.

Would love to visit again in the summer, spend some more time at the museum a block over.

Located in the McGill University area, this beautiful 19th century house offered us a nice café and a simple but clean room. From here, the fine arts museum of Montreal can be reached by foot in a couple of minutes. Easy check in and check out procedure.

The Hotel Ambrose is something like a student housing. There are many students living there still the place was quiet during the day and night.
The self checking was easy and the room we stayed was cozy, well maintained and pretty clean.

Stayed here while taking my daughter to the Montreal General Hospital. Cute & cosy historic townhouses in great location within walking distance to the hospital and Parc du Mont Royal. Minutes walk from Peel Metro Station, St. Catherine's shopping district and restaurants.

I travel with friends annually for the past 10 years to Val David to x-country skiing. On the return trip back to the US we stop for a day and evening in Montreal. For the past teo years 7 of us have stayed at the lovely, historic hotel. The rooms are early 20th century decor, clean & comfortable beds. Staff are young, friendly and eager to help. Hope to stay again in 2021.

I was utterly impressed with my stay at the Ambrose Manoir this weekend in Montreal.

The price was 112(CAD) after all taxes (2 people).

I was a little concerned because of the way they told me my suite was in the basement and the bathroom was seperate (private w/key- but outside the room). However, when I got their I thought that it was awesome - it was like a cozy basement apartment. The room looked just as good as any hotel room and the bathroom was really clean an original.

The location is also perfect. Right near St. Catherines and about a ten minute walk to the train station. As well, the outside of the building had this awesome vintage old Montreal feel to it.

I was completely satisfied.
