This is our first time in Montreal and chose this hotel for its location and price. We knew that there won't be as much services or amenities compared to the larger chain hotels (e.g. you need to request house keeping if you need it, and lobby isn't always staffed). But as introverts who don't like others coming into our room, this hotel is our dream hotel. The check-in process is seamless and clear, they tell you the code to your room and hotel door beforehand, so when you get there you can just go straight to your room without any human contact. The kitchen is fully stocked, with more pots/pans/dishes than what we have at home. Totally equipped for long stays and if you want to cook your own meals. Room is clean and has everything we need, including an HDMI cord so we can connect our laptop to the TV. There's even a box of tide pods for the washer and dryer, so you can do your laundry here. The location is awesome, it's 5 minute walk to the nearest subway station. And you could totally walk around all of old Montreal from the hotel, which is perfect for tourists who want to visit that area.…
Awesome location in beautiful Old Montreal. Easy check in and out . Very clean and fully equipped kitchen . Close to great restaurants , metro and tourist sites . They even provided earplugs for us who are not used to city noise at night. Beds are comfy and lots of pillows.
Great location in Old Montreal just down the road from Notre Dame. The apartment was lovely- spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Super comfy beds, great shower, well-equipped kitchen with large fridge. On our last morning we needed an early morning taxi to the airport and couldn't get hold of anyone. Called the after-hours number and received prompt and friendly assistance. Highly recommend!
We landed here because we needed two bedrooms and hated booking two rooms or a pricey suite. Was I glad I found it! The location was excellent—we found an in-and-out parking lot but we didn’t drive much because of all the restaurants and activities we were near. And the lay-out of the apartment was first rate. It was clean and fresh looking, commodious without being too large, and very well set up. It would even have worked well for a longer stay. Since we didn’t encounter any problems, we don’t know how easy it outdoors have been to get assistance— we never saw anyone other than others who were staying there. Not only will I stay in a Sonder establishment the next time I come to Montreal, I’ll look for them when I travel elsewhere.
We stayed for 2 days and had an absolutely amazing time. Location was perfect for old Montreal. Everything was near by. Very clean, comfortable and spotless. I Would recommend to all my family and friends.
So easy and much better than an air B and B or VRBO rental. Imagine a large hotel chain and the best VRBO experience had a baby— that is Sonder. The location was excellent. And as a solo woman traveler I felt safe at this location. The room was clean, and the studio had a beautiful fully equipped kitchenette with clean cups, dishes and utensils. The bed was heavenly (better than what I have at home). The bathtub was huge and excellent for a long soak. And the streaming services set up was amazing (you could enter all your account info and the streaming device is wiped at noon on your check out day). I had one minor question for Sonder during my stay—which was promptly answered.
Great location near old Montreal with easy walking distance to all central locations. Very clean apartment and well organized. Dishwasher, laundry, full stove and oven. Comfortable bedding. Don't hesitate to stay here when in Montreal.
Clean and comfortable modern style apartment in charming old building on the edge of old Montreal and business district. Great location for walking - restaurants, shops, museums/galleries, metro stop nearby. Ideal for a week stay to have kitchen and washer/dryer in apartment. Basic supplies provided and IGA nearby. Less expensive and more convenient than a hotel. Only issue might be noise. Didn’t hear street noise but a family on the floor above us that arrived near the end of our stay had a little child than liked to run around early morning and evening.
PERFECT LOCATION IN BEAUTIFUL AND WALKABLE CITY CENTER: Walking distance to Montreal City Hall, Place D'Armes, and wonderful cafes (check out Crew Cafe in the Royal Bank Tower for great coffee!). Immediate access to restaurants, depanneurs (convenience shops), parks and more. Quick and easy transit access (5/6 minute walk to Square Victoria station), just a short trip to Mont Royale Park, McGill University, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and more. GORGEOUS, SPACIOUS ROOMS WITH EXCELLENT DESIGN: There are big washer/dryer sets right in the room! Mine was a large studio with gorgeous finishes, furniture and accents. Wonderfully equipped kitchenette (oven and stove, spacious fridge/freezer, dishwasher, dishes/cups/utensils and full cutlery set, sink, coffee maker, and more provided). Beautifully-decorated and well-separated dining/kitchen, sleeping, and living areas. Very comfortable bed! Every accent - down to the unique lighting fixtures and a vintage record player (complete with a vinyl record) - was well-thought and beautifully curated. The room also comes complete with an iron and ironing board, blow dryer (I usually bring my own hair dryer to hotels, but I like Sonder's enough to save the space in my luggage), lots of towels and toiletries, and more. LUGGAGE STORAGE, CLEANING QUALITY, AND EXTRAS/THOUGHTFUL TOUCHES: Since checkout is at 11 (although you can take advantage of late checkout right in the Sonder app), I opted to use the convenient luggage storage in the lobby to store my bags after checkout while I explored the city a bit more before my plane departure. The room was perfectly clean! Earbuds and a noise machine were also provided for those who aren't accustomed to city living/noise levels (I live in the suburbs myself), however I found the room to be very peaceful and quiet. I could not hear any of my neighbors next to, above, or below me and found there wasn't noise from outside either. Overall great stay! Delighted with my experience. If you have any concerns, you can chat with Sonder's team right through the app, which has convenient 24/7 support (although I have never had an issue with the Sonders I've stayed in, if I ever have questions the team is always very quick to respond). I was visiting for a work trip and found that it was easy for me to relax and recharge in my comfortable room, as well as visit many of the great tourist attractions in the area, and even walk to my company's local office or work remotely at the many nearby cafes.…
My sister and I just stayed here during a trip to Montreal and we LOVED it. The apartment is spacious, the beds and pillows and bedding are comfortable, the APP is WONDERFUL - seriously - adds so much value, the location was perfect, and overall we were very happy choosing to stay here rather than a hotel. Especially because it's cold at night (and we're not big bar/club people) it was so nice having a couch and table and kitchen with refrigerator so we could buy some wine and refreshments and hang out comfortably after dinner. The app made finding places to eat super convenient too! The only drawback to staying at a place like this (versus a hotel) is there is no little gift shop for some beverages. When you arrive late at night it's nice to just grab some waters or sodas from the gift shop and we didn't have that option. Maybe a vending machine downstairs would be nice? But if that's all I have to complain about, it must have been pretty great, right? Would definitely stay here again and will gladly recommend to friends and family too!…
