This accommodation will suit some and not others. It is basically situated on an island between two major roads and opposite the emergency department of Montreal General Hospital. That said, we had very little noise in our room. It was a 15 min walk to the main downtown area (uphill) coming back and 10 mins to the Metro. We stayed... More

Location was downtown so very easy to get to subway , bus and taxi. We had a large suitcase, and upon walking in, our host Francois, helped us with it and brought it to our room. Both he and his wife are a wonderful team who have made a bed and breakfast inn to be proud of. Not only was... More

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in early September. It is a lovely, welcoming bed and breakfast located within walking distance of downtown Montreal. The owners are gracious and the breakfasts are delicious..the rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. We were given helpful directions to various places in the city and all our requests were accommodated. We have... More

Our stay at this B&B was magnificent from the start. Walking in, we were welcomed by the friendly faces of our host & hostess and a clean, welcoming, and nicely decorated home. Our room was very nice and comfortable but most of all, our bed sheets and bathroom products were environmentally friendly and healthy. WIFI was also provided. To finish... More

The owners were absolutely fabulous, friendly and helpful and served an amazing breakfast! They took a lot of pride in what they served and had lots of local cheese, fruits, and organic coffee. The rooms were very charming and it's so nice to get to stay in a beautiful old house with lots of character.

Unfortunately I only stayed there for one night and didn't have a chance to eat breakfast there but this house is beautiful. Very clean, beautiful rooms and good price. Stuff very, very friendly and helpful. If you're solo, friend or family I would always recommend this place!! Good location too!

Au Coeur Urbain is everything a B&B should be. Carolle and François are good hosts. The bed was comfortable and breakfasts terrific. The Japanese room is pleasant, although lacks sufficient light for reading or for seeing in the bathroom mirror. Close to bus/metro and overall, a great spot for a few days visiting Montreal.

Just opposite the hospital in Montreal, we were welcomed by Francois when we drove to this multi-storied B & B, and his wife Carol. What a pleasant surprise, with rooms beautifully decorated in various styles. Our's was the Japanese room, and our friends' room was in Russian style. There was also the African room, La Quebecoise, and La Bretonne from... More

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
