My wife, two year old child and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is located in the heart of Old Montreal but it is a far distance from the subway. The hotel rooms are big and have a small kitchen. However, the carpet and the drapes could use some updating. The breakfast was good but there...

The rooms were good size. The hot breakfast was excellent. The staff was super! The location in Old Montreal was perfect - close to the Metro or bus. We were there for a week and would absolutely return next trip to Montreal.

Stayed in a two double bed room. Lots of noise early in the am from garbage trucks during the week. Location is fantastic and the price reflects that. Rooms were clean. Beds were horribly uncomfortable. Absolutely awful. Strange room layout with a tv not in front of the beds. Probably would not return.

Dear jetsfan1457, Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are glad you enjoyed our location which is steps away from all that Old Montreal has to offer. We do apologize for the truck noise which disturbed you however. We will be following up with the waste management company to see if they can change their schedule to be...

I stayed here with two friends in November. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Old Montreal. It's close to all the restaurants, shops, bars and sights. This was especially helpful since it was very cold outside! The front desk staff members were friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. The rooms were nice with comfortable beds...

Upon arrival we were given keys to a room that was already occupied which was a bit awkward. Service was OK. breakfast was OK. Room was OK. Great location though, right in the middle of old Montreal. Pretty much average hotel. I would recommend it if you can get a good rate and if you plan to just sleep at...

This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for comfortable accommodation in walking distance to Montreal's best sights. It is easy to locate and in close proximity to many restaurants, souvenir shops, old port and Chinatown. The hotel check in process was quick and smooth. We arrived a couple hours early and still were able to check in upon...

I just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It was a wonderful stay. The room we had on the 4th floor had a great view of the St Lawrence River, Old Montreal, and the Biosphere. The staff were very helpful but not overbearing and all the staff spoke english very well. The breakfast was mediocre (dry eggs,...

We enjoyed a weekend getaway and extended due to the inclement weather. Centrally located and clean, comfortable rooms. Julie, Front Desk Supervisor, is calm, gracious, and very helpful. Her care is genuine. Thank you for a fabulous weekend!

The location is perfect if your looking to walk around old Montreal. The staff was friendly enough and helpful. I was a little skeptical of the forced valet service, but my car stayed safe and all my valet experiences went smoothly. The pool was a little small, but clean and pleasant enough. And the hot tub was plenty warm. The...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
