Very disappointed in this hotel. As a frequent traveler I have stayed in many gorgeous hotels and as a architectural edifice the St James is worth the trip to Montreal on it's own.The problem lies within the hotel walls(literally) as I made my way to the restaurant I noticed something in the corner of my eye but dismissed it,later on I...

We thought this was a lovely hotel with a nice, large room, great service and a gorgeous restaurant. You can easily walk to the Old Town and taxis are usually outside waiting on guests that need a ride to a destination. A special perk here is the library where you can order a drink until 3am. We would certainly stay...

While my husband and I were very comfortable in our corner jr suite - the service was a bit lacking at times. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful - but small things were sometimes overlooked. Calling for ice - or the room service table to be picked up- took a long time. We asked the concierge to make...

Stayed here one night along with two other couples en route to an event in Quebec. Absolutely beautiful, staff seemed to really enjoy what they were doing, almost as if this was their home. Such a perfect place for a special occasion. Loved it and will definitely stay again.

This hotel was incredible clean, nice room amenities, and a very polite staff. It had the best shower pressure that I have ever had in my life!! Great night sleep since the hotel is very quiet. Only negative is that $20 a martini is a bit pricy in my mind.

Location is perfect. In the middle of old town, right behind the Notre Dame Cathedral. Our room was a split level with the bedroom and main bathroom upstairs and the seating area and a half bath downstairs. Access to both floors in case you have difficulty with stairs. The brick walls provided a charming decor. Since we visited in the...

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
