Hotel nicely located . Good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient. Room large with wood floor. Only one flaw, the room was on the first floor looking onto the steet and it was quite noisy during the night it sounded like the window was open. A short investigation revealed that the noise was coming through the airconditioning equipment mounted...

Hotel St. Denis provided everything we needed. We were looking for a clean and comfortable hotel in a good location of Montreal. Great value for such a prime location! It was easy to walk around Montreal and see the sites from the hotel. Since we drove to Montreal, having access to underground parking right next to the hotel was a...

This was our first trip to Montreal. The hotel was nice although did lack some modern features. I found it a little irritating that there was a sign on the door stating 'not responsible for lost/stolen items', but had no safe in the room or at the front desk. The location was perfect and probably the best feature. It was...

I was very pleased with this hotel, it was clean, comfortable, and was a wonderful value for the price. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions, and there was on-site parking for a small fee which was great, considering there was limited street parking. Hotel St-Denis was located very close to a metro stop, and a bank where we...

Although the hotel is somewhat old it was clean and comfortable. I loved the fact that there were no carpets - laminate flooring instead. It was a short walk to the subway. We just left our car in the nearby underground garage for the weekend. There are lots of good restaurants in the area as well.

This is a decent hotel between 3 to 4 stars. Very affordable rate with an ok location walking distance to main Montreal city hot spots. The room is fine, no frills but clean and comfortable enough. Good place with great rates especially if you are only staying to sleep in the room, not a hotel ideal for hanging in or...

The Hotel St Denis very clean and conveniently located. Check in and out were quick and painless. Everyone at the front desk spoke English and they were very helpful with local information. The transportation center and Metro station at UQAM Berri was two blocks away and gave great affordable access to the rest of the city. There is a parking...

We just stayed 4 nights at Hotel St Denis which was a great price for such an excellent location. Though not immediately in Old Montreal or Downtown, everything is within walking distance. Unfortunately the weather was horrible for our trip, but there is a main Metro stop (Berri UQAM) a block away with fast and affordable access to any area...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
