Spent 3 days there. Great deal, good price, near good restaurants, walkable to lots of things to see and do. We had a car and went to the Olympic park, up the tower, walked old town, took loads of pictures. A real good time. Would recommend to all. Weather was changeable so either wore or carried layers. No problems with...

Ideally located in the middle of the various neighbourhoods you want to visit (old town, blvd st laurent, downtown, mont). Friendly staff and nice rooms. Would recommend for anyone wanting to explore the city and the night life.

Stayed here for three nights when in Montreal for the NASCAR races at beginning of August. As it was an event weekend hotel prices were high. I found a great deal online for this hotel online. It was a lot cheaper than any other decent 3 star hotels in Montreal. The room was large, basic but very clean. Perfect for...

I choose this hotel because it was close to the metro station for the Montreal Marathon. The room was clean and spacious. What I really appreciated is when I ask for a late check out because I wanted to use the shower after the race. The staff was very nice and they did accommodate me which was greatly appreciated.

We ended up just staying one night here. Our room was located near the noisy external air conditioning unit which resulted in a bad nights sleep for the two of us. The hotel was clean and basic, but a little less than we were used to for a three star. The stairway also had quite an over-whelming smell. Also the...

We stayed 3 nites at this hotel the first week of September and we were very pleased with the location, the cleanliness and the hotel staff. You will not find top notch frills at this hotel but they do offer immaculate rooms, good bedding and a professional staff who maintain the desk. We were only a 15 minute walk to...

The no-frills rooms are adequately appointed, and the staff are top-notch. Best of all is the location, on St. Denis: walk north a block or two on St. Denis to a bustling collection of pubs and bistros catering to the university crowd, 15 min farther north to the sophisticated shops and bistros on St. Denis in the French Quarter; 15...

This was the 5th time I've been a guest at Hotel St-Denis, but the first since 1998. It was very good then, and is very good now. For a fair, modest cost, you receive an exceptionally clean, cozy room in a central location. If you are an international traveler, the Wi-Fi connection is fast and excellent. The only shortcomings I...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
