Clean rooms but no elevator so you have a trek upstairs with luggage. The wifi and AC could be iffy. Close to all the action. Can walk to great eats and festivals. Great location . You have to park a block away and pay for parking .

This hotel has an optimal location. Stayed during the Jazz Festival. Short walk to Place des Arts. Picturesque area, lots of restaurants, bars and cafés. Some street folk begging. Close to the metro and 747 airport bus. Walking distance to all the sites. Breakfast of coffee, orange juice and baking: they kept offering me extra helpings. Nice to have a...

Stayed here for the 2nd time in a year. Its the best budget hotel in the area. Reason is the quality of wifi, larger rooms and it is very quite, if you get a room in the rear. Parking is just in the back at thr library $12 per 24hr.

Important to ask about elevators when rooms are over four floors. There is none and front desk personnel do not offer to help with luggage. Older is usually fine with me however this one has seen better days and upkeep. No way to turn on fan for some air circulation and window had a sign not to open. It does...

Stayed for one night in a double room. The room smelled of stale smoke so assume they allow smoking in the rooms from time to time. It was clean otherwise, with a small en-suite bathroom. I missed breakfast so can't comment. Location of the hotel is good and probably it's best feature. In saying that though I don't expect much...

I stayed on Friday April 15th. I was in room 101 on the lower level. Directly above my room was a nightclub / bar. The music was so loud that I could feel the ceiling, walls and even my body vibrate (kind of like being near the speakers at a rock concert). At 12:30 am I went to the front...

Stayed here for the Grand Prix. Neighborhood is a little sketchy with a large and pretty mellow(compared to NYC) homeless population. Hotel is right next door to a strip joint so wouldn't recommend for families. It's a quick 5min walk to the metro and there are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars within a quick walk. As for the...

Booked a single room but asked to switch to a room with 2 beds. Gentleman at the desk was happy to oblige. Room was quite large, had a window overlooking St Denis and a fridge. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. The window was quite dirty on the outside so we took a rag and cleaned it up. Great...

At reception the clerk’s attitude was awful, he did not even speak French! In Montreal, Quebec, unbelievable and on top of that the clerk told us that we were wrong that we should speak in English. I agree to speak English in England and where the official language is English, We are in Canada, there is two official languages and...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
