The positives: - location: close to restaurants and shopping. - room: a bachelor with 2 queen beds, 2 bathrooms, huge (the biggest room I've stayed in), 2 TVs, full kitchen, clean and comfortable and quiet. - continental breakfast included. - rooftop indoor pool. - friendly staff. Not so positive: - construction next door. Just be aware that there may be noise early in the morning. - bathrooms and kitchen are tiled, so if the upstairs guest is stomping about, you might hear it.
11 of us went to Montreal for a hockey game. The hotel was close to Bell center and loads of restaurants around the hotel. Hotel staff were fluently bilingual, and very professional. Even the regular rooms were very well equipped (fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher) and large. The 2 bedroom suite we also booked was super spacious with a living room and dining room area. Breakfast is included. We will definately try to book this hidden gem again.
The room was fantastic. It's rare to find a 2 br suite with a kitchen, living, and dining area. The rooftop pool was also key for wiggly kids, especially on cold winter days. Breakfast was fine. It didn't amaze me, but it was perfectly serviceable. Parking is $30/day valet only, but they'll go get your car for you as much as you need. There is a lot of construction around the building. While the noise didn't bother us (I didn't hear any construction noise, but it was possibly a vacation week), I imagine the nice cityscape view out the big windows will change dramatically in the next couple of years.
Pleasantly surprised, yes the hotel may be a bit dated but we really didn't care. The room was perfect for us, the location fantastic and the staff super helpful. You are walking distance from everything, the room is huge, the kitchen well equipped and high ceilings make it feel nice and bright. Only reason for the 4 was breakfast wasn't very good - busy and not very well stocked.
When we arrived I was slightly concerned by the near by building work but as our room was at the front it caused no problems. I was impressed by the room and having a fully functioning kitchen was a great asset. The breakfast was good but lacked a little in inspiration. The same format/content began to wear off after a week.
Individuals travelling by train. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from train station. Rooms and suites are available. The hotel provides cooking utensils, pots and pans, microwave, dishes and silverware. The breakfast, buffet style, ample. Quite a few choices. Hi-definition telly with quite a few stations to choose from. Hôtel help very helpful.
We stay here whenever we come to Montreal and it never disappoints! We were concerned about noise from the new condo being constructed next door but it was not an issue. It does not start until 7 am and even then is not anything major . Good idea to request a room on a higher floor as far away as possible, like 805 where we are.
Excellent location in Montreal - walking distance to the Old City and also to shopping areas. The 747 bus to the airport also stops very close by, which is handy for arriving and departing. Rooms are well equipped with comfortable beds and a kitchen including a dishwasher. The hotel provides a free breakfast and has a swimming pool, a small gym and a laundry. Reception staff are friendly, speak good English and are efficient.
Our one-bedroom corner suite had a kitchen, dining area, living room and separate bedroom--all priced below the usual two queen-bed rooms in other hotels. Its spaciousness, together with the pool and exercise area on the top floor, added a lot to our Montreal stay. Excellent service too.
Can see why some people like this hotel. Close to the metro and restaurants, spacious room with kitchen facilities. However we didn't realise there were significant building works until we read a forum question. Well at just after 6 in the morning the loud noise started, 1st with vehicles reverse beepers, then loud moving plant, then thunderous thumping noise, and all before 7. When we reported to this at reception we were told our room, 704 was at the quieter end of the hotel. Dread to to think what other guests heard. Thought breakfast was awful in an overcrowded room. As for our room, thought the furniture was old fashioned and I thought hotels had stopped putting hard wired hairdryers in the bathroom. Probably explains why there was no sink plug cos standing water would have been a real safety hazard.…
