Staff was very friendly from the start. Room was big but the bathroom was small. Great location in the city. Hotel has very easy access when you get to the city. They serve a great breakfast. Looked like a limited menu for dinner.

Reception is quick and friendly. As an SPG member I was given a top floor room with a great view of Montreal. Free espresso downstairs was a nice touch. Funky hotel the renovations have really improved this space and I would definitely stay here again.

We drove up to Montreal for a Cirque du Soleil show and stayed at the Le Meridien Versailles. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very modern! We weren't able to change the temperature in the room, but I think that was just our lack of skill. The staff was very accommodating in helping us park our car...

This small boutique hotel is conveniently located. Close to old Montreal, subways nearby and relatively easy access to highways if traveling by car. Parking is a big challenge though. There is no parking onsite. You either have to find a parking garage on your own or use the valet option which is expensive. When we arrived there were plumbers in...

One of the largest boutique hotels I've been in, it was nonetheless quite friendly and personal. As soon as you walked in the front door or off the elevator you were welcomed by someone at the front desk. The rooms were extremely clean, though not large - not a lot of room to walk between the bottom of the bed...

Hotel is fine. Room was large. Location was quiet but on Sherbrooke street close to Guy metro station. The only questionable aspect is that the room had no coffee machine; instead the hotel offered a coupon for one (1) expreso in the hotel bar. But what hotel in 2017 doesn't provide in room coffee?

As part of coffee culture, we have decided to remove all coffee machines from guest rooms and provide our guest with 2 complimentary coffee vouchers. Hotel has good location. Rooms are big, classic design. Bathrooms are too small for me. Central air conditioning. Free wifi. Cost of transfer to/from airport is 40$. There are many TV channels available. Beds are big and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Generally it's not bad place to stay, good for business.

Great location, great room and bed so couldn't ask for more from the hotel. Breakfast have both a serve your self buffet and made to order options available, I went for the continental self serve and enjoyed the selection available. I was upgraded to a junior suite which was fantastic and it was a large room that was away from...

This hotel was nice, it is in a old renovated building. My room was very nice, but the staff was amazing. From check in at midnight, to check out to the staff in the dining area to the valet. Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

This hotel exceeded all expectations; from the staff to the hotel and room itself - all were incredible! I arrived early and did not expect to be accommodated but they expedited a rooms availability for me. The staff was extremely courteous and lavished attention on my dog. The room was clean and well appointed and I had a nice view...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.

Various details of design/ fittings/ finishes/ accessories attracted us as being neat/ different BUT... drawbacks we hit:

- In our room (a junior suite), be prepared to get down on your knees to operate the room safe as it is conveniently (not) located about 6" above ground level. For some, no problem, but at our age and with our arthritics, a major problem. So we just didn't use it.

-The elevator buttons have a circle of light round them when pushed. But there is no light to make it easy to see on the panel WHICH FLOOR you want. Why on earth put a dark number embossed on a similar dark background? Absolut nuts. We saw other people having the same problem, needing to peer at the panel from a few inches away!

-First hotel we've used in 40 years where there was no walk-in shower - you had to enter the tub to use it. For us, a major concern there was no grab handle to help getting on or if we should slip.

- Service charming but slapdash. Imagine ordering croissants and jam, and getting croissants with mayo and ketchup! And the ONLY place in decades when you ask for a cup of coffee it literally comes in a cup covered with plastic wrap. Which fails to keep it hot on the trip from the kitchen to the guest room. Why on earth not have small pots/vacuum flasks like everyone else?

-Service again. Charming but ... at the desk we asked for our check while we waited for the taxi to come. Guy says sure and goes to computer but is immediately diverted by another guest wanting some tourist information. Why didn't he complete our check first? 5 minutes later taxi comes, no check. We say we're leaving, he says he will email the check. One week later we call and say where's the check? They say sorry, don't know why it wasn't sent, maybe we mislaid your email address. Gimme a break!

- As weekend tourists, a huge disappointment that, after returning from dinner out on saturday night, we could not go to the hotel bar because it and the restaurant were closed for a private function.

- there were other things but I can't recall them now.
