Pension is well located. We did not test the parking (valet). The restaurant is good, 100% Italian cuisine, nickel service (but we were the only guests!). The rooms are large, but the beds are very soft! There were 2 of us yet there was only one bathrobe. The double shower with rain effect and removable arm was nickelle! On the other hand, we did ask for a quiet room during the Reservation, we had the room next to the elevator, which work all night and make noise, and the ice maker which also works almost all night, was with our rooms and made so much noise that it was thought in the room! Even with earplugs, you could hear all the noises.

It’s an average hotel. The room was big and good. The drawback is, no hair dryer in toilet. The location is great. If you walk 10-15 mins you can see the McGill university, museum of fine arts etc. On the customer support side I shall give negative point. There was no doorman, after long flight journey people are tired when thy check in, at least there should be someone to help them settle with their luggage. When we were there, some scaffolding framework was at the main door. We really struggled to get in with two big suitcases. There was no one to help us. Another day I saw an aged lady was almost falling down over her suitcase. Scaffolding will go away after a few days but this shows the attitude of the hotel to welcome their guests. Also in billing, they charged me one day room rent in advance online, and also the full rent when I checked in. I complained on the next day and initiated the refund. Not an accommodation to remember or recommend.

The hotel is centrally located in downtown Montreal on Sherbrooke St East near several museums and the pedestrian street Rue St. Catherines. Also very close to Crescent Street where there are many restaurants & pubs. The room we had was a corner room which was quite spacious.

The room was fully equipped with a small fridge (empty) and iron / ironing board.
Bottled water was always available although sometimes did take a few minutes to get.

Any room deficiencies we had noted were remedied immediately to which we were extremely thankful for.

The staff were great and more than accommodating to any needs we had.

Covid did impact the hotel as they were not able to offer breakfast however they did make a recommendation of a great breakfast place just down the street. The issue is staffing. A common problem facing the hospitality sector at this time.

As far as cleaning the room is concerned, all one needed to do is let the front desk know and they would have housekeeping come in. The housekeepers came by our room fully clothed in hazmat suits, gloves, masks and shields - real troopers and THANK YOU! (this was to replace bathroom linens which were used up to wick up water from a leaky shower door which was fixed thereafter.

Restaurant - the restaurant is not part of the hotel but provides a good solid meal.

I would certainly stay at this property again.

Sens rated as a 4* Boutique Hotel. Lobby & restraurant decor is nice however thats where my positive experience ended. The common area on floor 11 was never properly vacuumed daily as the same residue was seen on the carpet unkept/uncleaned each day during my stay. As I unpacked and walked around I noticed how dirty the floor was & my feet as well. I immediately contacted the front desk to inform of this & after returning from dinner did not notice much improvement nor the scent of a freshly mopped floor. I awake the following day to temps of 78° on the AC adjusted that morning. Prior to departing around 3pm I informed the front desk the temps were not cooling. Upon returning around 10pm the AC issue still had not been resolve. I contacted Eyad at front desk TWICE b/f maintenance/security appeared & tried to adjust/reprogram to no avail. At this point I asked front desk for immediate resolution. Eyad came to my room with a fan, apologized, stated he would document & report to Hotel mgmt the issues I encountered on my Rm record & I could speak w mgmnt regarding issues & refund. The next morning at 9am (7/14) as I was checking out I requested to speak with Mgr on duty & was informed no one was currently onsite. I then asked if Eyad dictated notes from incidences occurred & was informed the only thing noted was a fan was delivered. I asked for GM & Mgr contact info & if I would be refunded for the terrible evening prior. Female would not comply w my request for invoice stating I would receive frm my 3rd party booking source. Although I knew this was a FLAGRANT lie it was proven by the email invoice I received from the SENS on 7/15 via email.
As one who reads reviews to establish if a property is worthy of my hard earned money for leisure I'm recommending all to steer clear of this property until the Tidan Group resolves their abhorrent staffing/management issues. **I called later on 7/14 in another attempt to speak w mgmt & was informed Melanie was absent from work & no one else at the property could assist me with the issues I'd reported. I also took photos of dirty common areas & AC which never cooled**

This was our first Montreal visit and we chose our lodging wisely! My step-sis and I had a rather complicated change of plans that Eileen on the check-in desk cheerfully accommodated. Our every need was met and our every question answered by the comic duo of Israth & Cynthia. Help with a smartphone link to TV came quickly. The room was comfortable with all the necessities (could use a little update) and a great view of Mount Royal Park. The "continental" breakfast offered many choices of protein as well as breads and fruit. The location could not be more convenient, with a metro station, shops and many delicious cuisine offerings just around the corner. I'll stay here again.

We stayed here the first week of June. Two weeks prior, the hotel had been informed of roadwork directly outside the hotel that would last all night long. They never told us. Our first night, we smelled asphalt and called the front desk to see when the noise would stop—it wouldn’t, they told us, it would last all night long. And it did. The lady we spoke to also told us that the hotel had been told about this road work two weeks prior to our stay. We asked if we could be moved to another room not facing the street, and were told that wasn’t possible. We also asked if we could cancel our booking for a full refund, and were told they’d get back to us. They never did. We also called AmEx to explore our options because we’d booked the room through AmEx. After our visit, we formally complained to AmEx. AmEx then contacted the manager, who lied to AmEx. He told AmEx that we never complained to the front desk about the road noise (false); that they had warned us via letter that the roadwork would take place (false); and that they provided earplugs to us upon check in (false). This property has serious management issues—please avoid it at all costs. It does not deserve the AmEx seal of approval, nor is the quality of the hotel commensurate with its price point.

My husband and I decided to play tourists in our own city and we chose this hotel for the prime location and we have previously stayed there before. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly smile at the front desk and the valet was very courteous and professional. They also renovated since we last went during Covid time and it looked BEAUTIFUL. They changed the front desk, the waiting area and it is now connected to the cool-looking bar and upscale restaurant. A refreshing and modern look. Very pleasing to the eye. Then the room was pristine! Quiet, clean, nice bathroom/ shower and we had a corner room with a lovely view. We used the valet service a few times and they were fast and efficient. We ordered room service and the food was delicious and those FRIES!! So good! Overall, just a wonderful customer experience and we will return again and again. Thanks to the whole staff!! A gem of a hotel!

I stayed here for a couple of nights in May 2022. The transfer from the airport was about 30 minutes or so and as as we got closer to the hotel, the driver was pointing things out to us. This hotel is close to St. Catherine Street a main shopping street with all the fast food you could wish for (if that's what you want) and then shops/China Town farther along. It is a bit grotty in places with homeless people sprawled across pavements. It's not too far from the underground rail network with access to underground shopping malls.

The hotel was not as expected. The photos show a beautiful, bright and glamorous entrance with clean, spacious rooms. The reality was somewhat different but the reception staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

They do not serve breakfast here but a nearby Allo Mon Coco did a great breakfast. We used the restaurant in the hotel on one evening and found it to be very expensive for absolutely average food although the service was good.

The room we were allocated was quite tired and there was evidence of careless clientelle. The bathroom was a little awkward with the layout but clean enough. There was an offering of toiletries and very good, clean towels.

The bed was comfortable but the carpet was dirty in places and the furniture bore the scars of clumsy guests. There were no cups but when I asked, I got some paper cups and a kettle to the room but no spoon. If you are a tea drinker, take your own. I always have 2 in 1 coffee stick/sachets. There is a fridge and safe provided.

Overall, this hotel was not what I'd expect in the Marriott group. I'm not sure I'll be returning to Montreal anytime soon but if I did, I don't think I'd stay here again. It was not like the gushy reviews or hotel description in my opinion and nothing like the photos.

I liked my stay at the hotel a lot. The hotel is pretty new, everything was in perfect condition and ideally clean. The hotel lobby was decorated very beautifully. All the front desk staff were nice and friendly. I got a room on the 8th floor, and because of the big windows, I had a lot of natural daylight in my room and also some good city views. My Standard room was big. Its design was nice and modern. All the furniture was in perfect condition. I liked the Queen bed; it was comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, unfortunately, but the good news is that it had a big shower stall. The hotel’s bathroom amenities were of very good quality and smelled nice. I felt very comfortable in my room. The Wi-Fi was working fast.
The hotel’s location is good. It is not exactly in the center of Montreal, but you can take a taxi to Downtown/Old Town, which would take 10-12 minutes, or you can walk, and it would take 20-25 minutes. There are some very nice cafes and restaurants around the hotel, by the way.
My only issue with the hotel was its price. I paid approximately U.S. $200 per night for my stay, which I consider overpriced. The hotel is very good, but not fantastic enough to justify this amount for a Standard Room. At the same time, it was one of the cheapest options for a stay in Montreal during my trip.
Finalizing my review, I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay, and I would stay there again if I come back to Montreal in the future.

I am extremely shocked by the service received at this hotel. The level of incompetence is beyond anything I have ever seen. Got there in the morning at 9:15 am, got my key, spend a few hours in my room until 1:00pm, went to my conference, came back to my room to rest for the night as I was leaving the next morning. Got to my room, used the key but the door wouldn't open. Went down to the reception to get another key and was told by the very arrogant receptionist that either I would pay for my room or I would have to leave. Told them that everywhere, you pay at the checkout not during your stay and that I found it strange to be told to pay in advance and specially after I had already checked in earlier in the day. The receptionist told me that I had no choice but to pay or leave (I might add that I was an invited speaker at a conference, so the reservation had been done by the conference organizers). I just didn't understand. Here I was in the middle of the night, thrown out of my hotel room because the receptionist decided that perhaps my skin colour could not afford a room. I knew racism existed but I had never experienced it at an hotel in Canada. I have no words; je suis tout simplement bouche bée!

Various details of design/ fittings/ finishes/ accessories attracted us as being neat/ different BUT... drawbacks we hit: - In our room (a junior suite), be prepared to get down on your knees to operate the room safe as it is conveniently (not) located about 6" above ground level. For some, no problem, but at our age and with our arthritics, a major problem. So we just didn't use it. -The elevator buttons have a circle of light round them when pushed. But there is no light to make it easy to see on the panel WHICH FLOOR you want. Why on earth put a dark number embossed on a similar dark background? Absolut nuts. We saw other people having the same problem, needing to peer at the panel from a few inches away! -First hotel we've used in 40 years where there was no walk-in shower - you had to enter the tub to use it. For us, a major concern there was no grab handle to help getting on or if we should slip. - Service charming but slapdash. Imagine ordering croissants and jam, and getting croissants with mayo and ketchup! And the ONLY place in decades when you ask for a cup of coffee it literally comes in a cup covered with plastic wrap. Which fails to keep it hot on the trip from the kitchen to the guest room. Why on earth not have small pots/vacuum flasks like everyone else? -Service again. Charming but ... at the desk we asked for our check while we waited for the taxi to come. Guy says sure and goes to computer but is immediately diverted by another guest wanting some tourist information. Why didn't he complete our check first? 5 minutes later taxi comes, no check. We say we're leaving, he says he will email the check. One week later we call and say where's the check? They say sorry, don't know why it wasn't sent, maybe we mislaid your email address. Gimme a break! - As weekend tourists, a huge disappointment that, after returning from dinner out on saturday night, we could not go to the hotel bar because it and the restaurant were closed for a private function. - there were other things but I can't recall them now.
