I stayed in this B&B last March for a couple of nights. The owners of this B&B are the most genuine and generous-hearted hosts ever. Philippe and Nicolas are simply the BEST. This B&B is situated in the Gay Village, very close to St-Catherine East – a vibrant and colourful place to be in Montreal all year-around. The bedrooms are...

We stumbled upon this bed and breakfast after most were not available for the weekend. We stayed in the Cottage and was completely satisfied with the choice of trying BBV. Philipe and Nichola were amazing hosts, providing details on shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. The breakfast was amazing and they pretty much provided anything you would want to eat. The place...

We stayed in the cottage at the BBV during our stay in Montreal. The location, a block from St. Catherine, and another block from the Beaudry metro stop, is incredibly convenient. As we did not want to do much cooking, we arranged to have breakfast in the main house. Phillippe & Nicholas were warm hosts who provided us with guides...

Very well kept and cute B and B located in the middle of the Village in Montreal, very close to the Beaudry train stop, so it was very convenient to hop on and off the Metro. We stayed for three nights. Phillipe was a great host and we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in room #11 on the...

My partner and I continue to stay with BBV (Bed & Breakfast du Village) as we know that they can accomodate our needs. Our suite is always clean and comfortable and pet-friendly too! (Our small dog always travels with us). The B&B is in a great location (accessible to all Montreal attractions). This visit was a special visit as we...

This was our second time at BBV, and it's now our first choice when we need a place to stay in Montreal. Clean, charming, great location, big breakfast and friendly - Phillippe is a wonderful host. Highly recommended!

We stayed at BBV for three nights in mid-May and were so pleased that we are already planning a return trip. We chose BBV after reading all the great reviews here on Tripadvisor (we have never been steered in the wrong direction by Tripadvisor!) The location of BBV is ideal! The bed and breakfast is just a few steps away...

We spent 6 nights at the BB du Village in the cottage in May. The cottage offered a great space, with kitchen and private en suite. Room service every day and a delicious breakfast with a good variety of food available. Philippe was a great help on many occasions and we really appreciated his kindness. A truly welcoming and high...

BBV provides personalized attention that you will not get in a hotel. BBV has modern amenities, it's quiet and charming, and plus you get a big breakfast, and inexpensive rates. I stayed here with two friends in the 2-bedroom suite and we were very comfortable. I will definitely book again here on future trips to Montreal, and I will recommend...

I had a great stay this week. Back in Paris and still impressed by Montreal and Le Village. Merci to my hosts who have just been great, always here to help, very friendly and generous, and the dog is soooo cute. I truly recommend, can't wait to be back hopefully when Rue St-Catherine is closed to cars. Thank you!

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
