Loved the breakfast basket full of delicious goodies we received each morning. Loved taking it the downstairs dining area to join others who were also staying at the inn either vacationing or there on business. Met some lovely people. Fresh croissants, muffins with yogurt, fresh fruit and cheese - perfect way to start out mornings in the beautiful Latin Quarter...

The hotel was easy to find, but we had a little trouble finding the parking as it's around the corner down a one-way street so we had to drive around the block. It seemed easy, but we missed a turn and had to fight through rush hour traffic to get back on track. Check in was fast and easy, service...

We stayed one night on our way to Quebec City. It's a small boutique hotel although it can be a bit tricky to find if you're driving. The guest lobby is small and cozy, there's a kitchenette with coffee and tea, bagels, toaster and jam. They deliver breakfast to the room in a small picnic basket and leave it on...

Initially when finding the car park and seeing the front door I had trepidation. Totally wrong although the room was small we we comfortable. Ideally situated for rue st Denis where you will find the Latin quarter but more importantly le saint bock great bar. Ideal for a walk to mount royal and down to fort Montreal. Above all supply...

My daughter and I shared a room here and what made it really special were the amazing staff. They were so accommodating as our train was later in the afternoon so they let us hang out in the lounge area. The inn is very charming and I loved getting the breakfast delivered in a basket and hung outside the room....

We stayed at Auberge Le Pomerol in August 2014. The only good thing about this hotel is its location (parking is $16). Everything else is mediocre at best. The facade looks nothing like the picture, it's one of those buildings which leave no impression. There is no lobby. The guest area inside is tiny, there is only enough room for...

The hotel is across the road from a subway station and has on site parking available giving you all options. The subway gets you to all Montreal sites. The staff were very helpful. The room is a little small but the king size bed was good. The bathroom is extremely small but we had a room with a spa bath...

This is a nice little hotel in the middle of Montreal, conveniently close to the metro station. Very nice staff members. They speak English too:). The rooms are very comfortable, quiet. Free and breakfast served in your rooms (if you like)

the Pomerol took us in at the last minute after a very bad experince at the Hotel Casa Bella on Rue Sherbrook, but thats another review. Nice place, friendly staff, big rooms, decent breakfast, price is perfect. I read in other reviews about the neighbohood, its near the Latin Quarter. But the place is safe and so are the streets....

First impressions can be misleading. The hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but found it very nice inside. It is safe to walk the easy twenty minutes to the seaport and Old Montreal as long as you stay on the main streets. The hotel is quite European including the showers. The rooms are extremely clean and the staff if very...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
