My wife and I spent two nights at La Petite Prune as part of a delightful visit to Montreal. The location could not have been better for our purposes; and our hostess, Akiko, could not have been more helpful or charming. She is an excellent chef, and our breakfasts were delicious and varied. Our room was the smallest on the...

I stayed at La Petite Prune for three nights with a few friends and was immediately won over by its charm. I stayed in the downstairs room, which was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Despite being so close to busy streets, it was also very quiet. Hot breakfast with fresh baked goods each morning were the perfect start to each...

My friends and I stayed here for 4 days while visiting Montreal. The price was a great deal, the B7B was in a safe location, very clean and comfortable. The host was amazing, cooking some great breakfast meals and able to accomodate a gluten allergy. The place was in a quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance to some great restaurants...

I stayed 3 nights at La Petite Prune while visiting Montreal with friends. The B&B has a great location on a quiet residential street, just around the corner from restaurants and shops. When we checked in Akiko gave me a printout to help find parking in the area, which was very helpful. The rooms are cute and the whole place...

I stayed at La Petite Prune for 3 nights in September while I was visiting Montreal for a conference. I wanted a more home-y, local flavour and opted for a B&B instead of one of the big chain hotels. I had looked around a lot of B&B's and this one had a great location AND the price was very affordable....

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
