Stayed here with my family in a one bedroom suite and was really surprised how nice the hotel was. The room was nice and clean the the kitchen was really helpful. The bathroom seemed newly tiled and was very clean. We had a room on the 5th floor facing the street and was not bothered by the street noise-I do...

Location: The hotel is conveniently located near the livelier student and entertainment district of Montreal, and the centre is also very accessible, even by foot. It is also close to the Metro, for convenient and efficient access to all other key parts of town. Facilities: The hotel itself was of surprisingly good quality for the price and the room was...

I had an overall positive experience. I encountered very friendly staff who were always helpful and fluent in English. The room was bigger than expected and was clean. I didn't have a problem with noise either. I was pleased with my stay and will revisit again.

We stayed for the weekend, and really liked the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, though a bit out-dated, and the rooms were quite spacious. Complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning (fruit salad, cereal, baked goodies, toast+jam/peanut butter, instant oatmeal, coffee, tea) was good. Location was pretty good -- only a 5-minute...

I stayed in Le Roberval for two nights in September. The hotel itself is quite reasonable. The rooms have a kitchenette and would be suitable for self catering. Breakfast was included and the staff were very obliging about getting me an early breakfast when I had to get an early train on the Sunday. The only downside to this hotel...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
