OMG DONT STAY HERE LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AND RUN AWAY!!! DONT BOOK AND DONT THINK THERE REVIEWS ARE FALSE! I had booked a e wow room that is worth $1000 night and there is no service. The employees are uneducated workers in hospitality it seems as this is the only hotel of over 300 plus hotels we have stayed in which are always 5 star on suites. Upon checking in no valet or bell service and had to bring out 6 luggage on stairs and the clueless lady working said hi checking in. We said no one here is can help us with luggage. She said I’m sorry he is in a phone right now. What???? On your phone during work!!!! Then we checked in was not nice gave us keys and even still did not offer any luggage assistance to room at all!!!!! So terrible !!! When we went in room which we stayed here before they gave us the wrong room!!! We reserved a specific room and they had initially told us we will make sure you get one of the 2 e wow suites but they gave us the worst one of all!!!! Not only that floors are scratchy and dirty mold on desk and water inside the desk!!! I have photos which I will publish nasty! Then we asked for a rollaway and some guy brought it up and said “I don’t know how to set it up can you do it “ and left the pillow on the dirty floor!!! Photos taken… what !!!!! What service is this !!!! This is worst then a 1 star motel if I had option to leave a zero I will happily do this! Also I had someone coming to stay next week here and told them to cancel since the service and rooms are terrible!!! Complained to a manager and they didn’t care at all with attitude. The worst manager was Francois !!! He needs to be fired or moved to a lower class of hotels! He never took care of us and was very rude , he has the worst customer service and was very unwelcoming. Even Vincent was not good at all- to be honest we never complain like this but this is the first time they had attitude issues back . Again do not stay here

This was our first stay at a W, and it was quite an interesting experience. We had booked with a prepaid rate, but prices came down pretty drastically closer to our stay which was unfortunate. The club-like vibe is clearly targeted towards younger travelers, which is a matter of taste - it was extremely loud in the lobby in the evenings during our weekend stay. Our Fabulous room was very nice and spacious (though it was notably still going for a cheaper rate than we had paid). We were able to check-in early which was appreciated, but our room was setup for another guest who was apparently there for a conference - we only had amenities for one person instead of two. However, the bathtub took FOREVER to fill - after half an hour it was still not at a reasonable depth. Breakfast for Platinum+ members included a main and a drink - these were generous portions and quite tasty. However, a huge issue is that service here was EXTREMELY slow - the restaurant wasn't at capacity so I think it was a staffing issue. The concierge contacted us a few days ahead of our stay to ask if we had any special requests. I asked if there was a piano at the property - while they did not have one, the concierges went out of their way to contact another hotel to arrange for me to practice on our second day in Montreal, which was very thoughtful. Although I would have appreciated if this was done before we arrived, I appreciated that they went above and beyond for our request. Breakfast was incorrectly charged to our folio at check-out. While not quite as nice of a stay as at other luxury hotels, it was more fun at a good pricepoint.

It is very average. With patchy service. A worn down hotel. Good things: Downtown location. Clean. Room had a good view. Comfortable bed. Bad things: at times bad service, for example on 2 days there was limited breakfast due to staffing issues. There was no one to serve any one in the restaurant. At the bar one night there was a large reserved section that wouldn’t take any guests and I was directed to another part of the bar area around a corner that had no one serving anyone. Then the doormen spent most of the time talking amongst themselves and not greeting or helping anyone that I saw. The lifts were worn and slow and had stained floors. The gym was really average. The room design seemed out of the 90s and the bathroom fan was really noisey. Avoid if you can. Not a great experience.

Front desk, concierge, bell staff were the upgrade to our stay. From arrival, to help with dinner recommendations, to guidance with a medical issue, the professional staff at W Montreal were professional and wonderfully helpful.

My partner and I stayed at the W for a week during the Thanksgiving holiday. We stayed at the W while we researched venues and bands for our wedding next fall. I stopped by the front desk to get some help finding a potential Welcome Drinks venue for our guests arriving the night before our wedding. The concierge (Zachari) was phenomenal. While I simply asked for a few ideas, he made it his mission to go out of his way to help me - not just suggesting some options, but actually calling them to check for their availability, capacity constraints, and cost. He then connected me with a venue that fit what we were looking for, and we're likely going to book it! This was incredibly helpful, because I don't speak french and most of the venues were french-first language. Zach went above and beyond to help us, and I can't thank him enough!

My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary here over the weekend and were very impressed with the care from the W team and the beautiful amenity in our room! Mauricio Villalobos, in particular, was a complete rockstar and our trip wouldn't have been half as great if it weren't for him: he got us reservations in some of the coolest cocktail lounges and bars and was always willing to help make sure we were having the best time (thanks so much Mauricio!) He also made sure we went to the right restaurants. The bell/door staff over the weekend (9/16-9/18) were some of the most polite and attentive staff I have seen in awhile (and I come from a hotel background). The only thing we would have liked to see was more towel hangers in the bathroom. Also important to note is that this hotel is perfectly centrally located to walk to some of the best restaurants and bars. Look forward to seeing you all again and thanks for a fantastic stay :)

As a frequent traveler, my expectations are always high. It always amazes me how one person on staff at a hotel can totally make your trip! The front door men, especially Glo made my whole business trip, everyday as I would come and go he would remember me and engage in real conversations with me, always remembering small details. It became the highlight of my travel days in Montreal. One person does make the difference!

My partner and I spent three nights at this hotel. The hotel had a great location, it was only a few minutes walk from downtown. Our room was big enough, modern and clean. Bathroom was nice, but what I found a little wierd was a glazed shower area which was open to rest of room with only a curtain separartor. When we arrived at the hotel there was loud music playing in the lobby, but the rest of the hotel was quiet. The room was quiet and no noise disturbed us. The staff were very nice, check in and check out fast. The stay at this hotel was very pleasant.

My wife and I travel quite a bit and we were looking forward to trying to W Montreal. This would be the ninth W hotel we have stayed at worldwide. We are Marriott loyalists in general. We stayed 4 nights in July. I would like to start by saying that the staff overall were great. Everyone was helpful and always welcomed us with a smile from the valet to servers to front desk, staff and housekeeping. The Location is tough to beat as you are a five minute walk from downtown and old Montreal. That being said, the building is really starting to show its age. The rooms were overall clean and we were upgraded to a fantastic sweet based on my titanium elite status with Marriott. The only major issues we had for our first breakfast at TBSP. They seemed to be understaffed. We sat for around 12 minutes before anyone came up to our table, and other guests were clearly annoyed at the lack of attention. When we finished the meal I signed for the check and we were told at the front desk would zero out the check as I do get free breakfast as a titanium elite member. This did not happen, and the full charge of the breakfast appeared on our bill. That being said, the hotel was quick to remove it once I pointed it out. Another issue we had was our room not being cleaned on one of our days. We noticed after lunch it had not been cleaned and I messaged the front desk at 1:30 PM asking for someone to please go up and clean it while we were out. We returned at 3:30 PM and no one had cleaned the room yet. I messaged the front desk as we were in somewhat of a rush and had a early dinner reservations. Another hour and a half went by before the room is cleaned and my wife and I were quite put off by this. I would say, overall that the staff were great at the W Montreal, but the overall experience is certainly lacking, especially given the nightly rate here. If you are a Marriott loyalist, I would recommend skipping the W in Montreal, and instead go down the street to the Humaniti hotel, which in my opinion is much nicer and less expensive.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, my husband and I were greeted by such kind and friendly ladies at the reception desk. We deeply felt their high level of customer service and hospitality. Their positive energy truly made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed our stay in the hotel tremendously. Some ladies I was able to be introduced to their names while others I was not. But truly every single one of them was so hospitable and welcoming, in particular Yasmine. The concierge ladies Pauline and Mireille were so very helpful in everything that we inquired about. Thank you so much W staff for everything and for making our stay so warm and pleasurable. A special thanks goes to the welcoming guys at the entrance of the hotel, the waiters and waitress in the restaurant Tbsp and everyone else who demonstrated so much hospitality and kindness. 🙏
