Hotel Espace Confort is situated in the very centre of Rue Saint-Denis, one of Montreal's most vibrant streets with bars, restaurants and clubs. The rooms were small but clean. The bathroom was a bit old, especially the shower could need renovation. The breakfast was croissant with jam and coffee, thus a simple French breakfast. WLAN in the hall worked fine.

I stayed at this hotel(also part Hostel although I stayed on the hotel side) for 3 nights in December. I was able to stay for 3 nights for $189(taxes in) as I bought it off of Priceline. This price included a nice breakfast of a warm croissant with cereals, breads, juices and hot drinks. The Hotel was located on Rue...

We spent a Saturday night here after wrapping up some business. The rooms are very basic, but clean, and with all the essential amenities. Having a fridge and microvave was a bonus! The staff was really nice, and very helpful. The location was incredible for the price we paid for the room (around $63 with taxes from Priceline). It was...

This is a real nice hostel with lots of advantages of an hotel/appartment e.g. Airco tv own bathroom small kitchen fridge. Staff was friendly, but you dont see them much. When you arrive be aware that you actually have to check in at the door under the stairs, the housing comany, so you don't have to carry up all your...

This is a nice little hostel, that has many of the usual hotel advantages. The room I stayed in the first time was larger with a good sized TV, desk, and bed. Second time, a smaller room, but equally as comfortable. The washroom is cleaned daily and comes with the traditional hotel shampoos and conditioners and daily towel changes. The...

We stayed in this hostel for 5 nights in total (two nights in between we went to Québec). A very important remark to make and something that everyone should be aware of before booking is that the 'auberge' rooms are hostel quality and have nothing to do with the three star hotel with which it is associated on booking.com. We...

I (and friend) stayed at Espace Confort for 6 nights (Oct. 11) while attending a course at McGill. The best aspect of the stay were the friendly, helpful staff and the comfortable beds. We were moved more than once due to the juggling of other bookings, etc. The first room was quite cramped and run down (hostel side). However, the...

We stayed for two nights at the Espace Confort in Montreal. The hotel is located in the Quartier Latin which is quite vivid and interesting. When we entered our room the first time we felt like entering a cave. Windows were darkened with a jalousie and curtains and after realising that there are windows we felt much better. On the...

Hello Chambelle, thanks for your review. We have improved what we could from it and the smell of Citrus from the cleaning product is now gone. This place is part hotel and part hostel so I think the reviews are combining the two making the score better. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
