This is only our second time staying at this hotel. The first one was ages ago because Marriot hotels are expensive in the Montreal airport area. This time, because of COVID the price of Marriot Hotels have dropped probably because of the low demand for travel.

This is our sixth trip and probably the last trip to Montreal this year. We opted to stay in Residence Inn because it has kitchen and cooking facilities that we can use if we don't want to order food delivery or take out.

Quebec and for that matter Montreal is a hot spot for COVID infections so there are no dine in and the hotel has also closed its restaurant and dining area.

The room that was given to us was like a mini studio apartment that has a large Queen size bed, a sofa bed, a kitchen and small dining nook and an average size bathroom.

It is near a mall including an IKEA and several restaurants. It surely is a home away from home because we were able to cook our meals in the room using the fully stocked kitchen.

I used mostly 90% of the Hotels around Montreal airport during the years. I was sent to this property because another hotel made a mistake in my reservation and they were s/out. I big mistake happened at check-in at 9pm with my rates, but the customer service was amazing in resolving the issue by 9am next morning. Rooms are really spacious, very clean and kitchen is amazing with many amenities. Breakfast was done in Covid mode, a person will take your choice and put them in a box to go, choice was excellent and food was really good, specially the croissants. Very big Parking. Excellent location for shopping if you have time, Ikea just in front Mall about 3 mn drive from hotel. This is going to be my first hotel of choice in Montreal airport area in the future.

Had a great experience at this hotel. Opted for the one-bedroom apartment. Great choice. My wife had to work one day remotely while we were in town, so I was able to stay in the other room and we didn't disturb each other. Room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Close to the airport, but was reasonably soundproof, even though we were very close to a flight path. The ladies serving the full hot breakfast were super helpful. So was the gentleman checking me in late at night - he recognized my silver status and immediately offered me a late checkout. Combine all this with the fact that the hotel is close to all the places I need to go to when I am in town, and this is my new go-to when I need to get a hotel in Montreal.

We stayed here January 28/20 prior to vacation in the south, for which I wrote a good review.
Upon returning from our vacation February 8/20 we were staying the night again. I called the hotel from the airport at 7:30 p.m. to ask for a pick up.
First the gentleman had a little difficulty finding my reservation. Once he did, I was told to 'hold on', he came back saying it would be 30 minutes, and he hung up on me! Ok, I guess we just missed the shuttle.
At 8:15 p.m., and after a few other hotel shuttles coming around for the 2nd time, I called again. I was told to 'hang on', he comes back and says the shuttle would be there in 10 minutes; he got stuck, and he hangs up on me again! Not a thank you, good buy ...nothing.
Now it had snowed significantly, but other shuttles (of the same route) had no issues.
So, after traveling all day, we waited 65 minutes for the hotel shuttle to come get us (and other customers).
When we stayed prior to our vacation, we had to pay for a taxi because the hotel shuttle didn't start until 4:30 a.m. Our flight was at 6:45 a.m., and we did not have access to the inclusive breakfast either which started at 6-6:30 (but we knew we wouldn't). The wonderful gentleman at the front desk that evening (around 5 p.m.), offered us a higher floor room.
Very disappointed in front desk 'attitude' this time around. After waiting so long, no offer of go have a drink in the bar on us, or anything. Here's your key, breakfast starts at 6-6:30 a.m.
We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Coffee, hot chocolate, juice, cereal, hot eggs, make your own waffles, toast, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, make a fajita ....fantastic. Friendly staff, too!
So, we enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable, clean, fully equipped rooms with kitchens, the breakfast, but not the extensive wait on the shuttle, or the front desk staff that night.
All that being said, I would still stay here again.

Front desk is often unstaffed. Rooms are quite small, enough that you can barely walk around the queen bed and can't walk around the unfolded sofa bed. You'll likely find there's no place to put your luggage while you're there. Internet is fine. Indoor pool heavy with chlorine and not heated that I could tell. Washer/dryer onsite but $4 in coins each use. TVs don't have Chromecast. Sofa bed is cheap foam and soggy. Daily room service stops early so if you don't get your room done in the morning you probably can't get new towels etc. No ice machines. Free parking. Four electric charging outlets (two Tesla) by Courtyard next door. No daily water offered. Breakfast closes at 9am which we though was really early given we're from California. Onsite ATM was out of service. Parking is easy/free. Not near ANYTHING but an easy exit off the 40.

I paid a premium to leave my vehicle at this place as it was a secured spot fenced in lit up with security cameras. I installed a steering wheel club as an extra precaution.
According to my ford app the trucks security system was disabled around 4pm in the afternoon. I was parked 40ft from the main entrance front doors.
Somebody came in the secured area in full day light disabled the security system cut the steering wheel club and got through the security gate without anyone noticing? Apparently this happens all the time from that lot. Hmmmmm! Marriott should look into it, unless they already know about it,
The rest of the staff is very helpful

Forget about this place if your flight leaves before 7am
The earliest shuttle is at 4. So international flight that leave at 6:00 don’t work. You have to book a taxi
Restaurant is understaffed and super slow which is not what you want after day of traveling. It was a 3 hour wait to get food.
Truly underwhelming.

Dear guest, We thank you for sharing your experience with us, once again we apologize for not meeting your expectations. Effectively our shuttle only runs from 4h30am to 11h30pm daily. We had also received last some minute reservations for a canceled flight, which caused the restaurant to become overwhelmed with the last minute reservations. We are truly sorry we missed the opportunity to give you the service you deserved. Please let me know personally if your travels bring you back to Montreal, I would love the opportunity to service you again. 2 night visit (2 adults and 2 children aged 2 and 4). Renovated rooms including convenient layout with pullout sofa bed and bedroom. In room amenities include fridge, microwave, stovetop, sink, dishwasher, and cutlery and cooking utensils. So helpful for a family :)

Pool is warm (kids went in no problem and spent lots of time). Hot tub as well.

Friendly staff, clean throughout, very close to airport. No issues to report. See images!

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. It has always been and still is very clean, with very polite and helpful front desk staff, and an excellent breakfast which is a cut above most RI’s. ( we have stayed at over 30 RI’s). I requested that housekeeping bring up a few items in the early evening and the person came within five minutes.
Now, the big question and conundrum: The hotel had a major renovation about a year ago. The rooms are lovely and modern. BUT, the dressers and living room furniture unit with drawers disappeared. The only place to put clothes is in four drawers in the closet. As well, the storage unit below the bathroom sink was removed so all toiletries have to be put on the small counter beside the sink. We stayed in a one bedroom.
If you are here for a night or two, this would be fine, but if you stay for longer periods like we do , aside from the few storage drawers in the closet, you would live out of your suitcase which is far from convenient.
In summary: a wonderful , modern, staffed well hotel but we would never stay in anl extended stay hotel like a RI without dressers if we were staying for longer than a few days.

I have stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Airport many times, and t is now better than ever after an attractive renovation.

Its location could not be better, with quick and easy vehicular access to the airport and to midtown and downtown Montreal, and movie theatres, restaurants and extensive shopping a short walk away.

The always-excellent staff, from the prompt and friendly airport shuttle driver, to the restaurant staff ladies whose friendly and personal attention have always made dining at the breakfast buffet a pleasure, to the super-friendly and accommodating Sebastian and every member of the front desk staff, all made this stay a particularly pleasant and memorable experience for me.

Thanks!

I stayed there 6.5 weeks. There's a modern, well-lit laundry room in the basement, near the swimming pool. Wash: $3 CAD, dry: $3 CAD. At the front desk they'll make change for the machines and sell you correct-size detergent and drier sheets.
