We stayed at the Dauphin to go see Madonna at the Bell Centre. The hotel is well located within walking distance of many attractions downtown. A 15 minute walk west will get you to St Catherine street and Blvd De Maisonneuve Ouest for shopping and restaurants. 15 minutes east will get you to Old Montreal and 10 minutes south to the Bell Centre. The hotel has no parking but the Palais des Congres is across the street and has plenty. Hotel itself is quaint, clean and modern. Check in was smooth, staff was friendly, room was spotless when we arrived. Shower had great water pressure, the bed was comfortable, although you may want to bring your pillows if you are used to a firmer pillow. To top it all off, the hotel was very affordable considering the location. We will definitely be using it again the next time we are in Montreal for a show.

The location in an erea full of hotels. Close to the center. Cozy mid-size hotel. The room and the bed are really nice and clean. For the first time , I was Not able to see any house keepers but the service was timely. Breakfast was fine but not many options. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Hotel Le Dauphin Montreal Centre-Ville for 3 nights in mid November 2023. Our room was a Standard room with one King bed. Location: * The hotel is conveniently located in Montreal. We took an evening train from Toronto to Montreal, arriving at Montreal train station (scheduled arrival at 22h55m but actual arrival was about 20 minutes late). Reception staff was available 24 hours, so we were able to check-in smoothly. * It is also within walking distance to a number of major attractions, such as the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, Chinatown and the Montreal Convention Centre shopping mall, to name a few. Facilities and Amenities: * Bathroom: Modern toilet with a walk-in shower. As for amenities: (a) Hand soap (block), body soap (bottle), shampoo and conditioner (bottles). (b) Towels: Bath towels, hand towels and bath mat. (c) Toothbrush/toothpaste available for purchase from reception, although one may also go to a dollar shop to purchase them. (d) In-room laundry: Not available as hangers are security hangers, and there is no clothes line in the bathroom. The sink is also not big enough to do laundry, so consider purchasing a bucket from a dollar shop if laundry is required. * Room: TV, desk with Apple monitor, blackout curtains, coffee table with two chairs, fridge, coffee machine, bedside tables. * Gym: Small gym available for use on 1/F, accessible using card key for the hotel room. Cardio and weights available. Please see photos. * Continental breakfast was included. There were bagels, toast and a variety of pastries. Hard boiled egg, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. There are no dairy alternatives or other meats. Non-diary alternatives are available for purchase at nearby supermarkets. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Hotel Le Dauphin.

Great experience right from when we arrived. We were able to check in early which was wonderful since we had traveled a long way on three flights to get there and were tired. The front desk staff were very efficient, helpful and friendly. The hotel is very stylish in a minimalistic way. The bed was very comfortable, the shower very nice, and the room very clean. It was an easy walk to Old Town Montreal and the subway. A very substantial continental breakfast included in the price. The latte, hot chocolate, cappuccino etc. machine is available all day, too. We would definitely return here when visiting Montreal. A great value for the price.

This was the best hotel of the 3 we stayed in while visiting Montreal, Quebec and Toronto. It was also the cheapest. The young team on the front desk were very friendly and check in was very smooth when we arrived at about 9pm after a long flight. I would class our room as modern and minimalistic with a very comfortable bed. There is a display chiller in the foyer where you can buy candy, soft drinks and water etc, at very reasonable prices. This is a great idea that other hotels should copy. The location of the hotel is great and its only a short walk to the metro. Our best evening meal was at Modavie (with a live Blues band), and this is only an easy 15 minute walk away. But the highlight of our stay was the simple, but very high quality breakfast. The pastries were fabulous and the sourdough bread was real sourdough. Along with hard boiled eggs, fruit and yoghurt it really did sum up what this hotel is all about - quality without any unnecessary frills. Coffee at breakfast was good (the left machine was better than the right one though!) but if you want a truly excellent coffee visit Micro Espresso Café which is only a 10 minute walk away.

My daughter and I stayed here for three days two nights while she had some university business to attend to. We took the opportunity to see a few sights in Montreal while there and wanted somewhere that was central to most places and walking distance as well. This is why we chose Hotel Le Dauphin. The hotel was a 10-minute walk from the Central Train Station -Montreal, which is how we travelled there from Ottawa. We found the google map directions easy to follow and arrived at the hotel around 5pm. I had already paid in advance and check in at the front desk reflected that and was smooth. We travelled light with one carry on and a backpack so there was no need for bellhop assistance. The reception staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. We were given a room on the 7th floor that was supposed to have a "city view". I had requested twin beds when booking, which the invoice stated would be accommodated once available. On our way from the elevator to the room there was a strong and overpowering scent of paint, and as we got closer to the room, we saw a workman priming a concrete wall. We therefore had to make our way into the room quickly and try to not let the scent follow us into the room. On entering, we realized that the room was much smaller than the one we booked, mainly because there was only one queen bed. Also, the only window was small and only offered a view of the adjacent buildings and its tenants in their apartments. This was to our dismay but I told myself it wasn't worth the hassle as we were both tired after a long day of travelling since 6:30am. The room albeit small, was sufficient - clean, modern, independent air-conditioning, a large TV (limited channels), a computer, bedside tables, a small rocking armchair, a bench-type seat near the door, wardrobe with personal safe that thankfully worked, keurig coffee station and mini-fridge. In the toilet/bathroom areas was nicely tiled and clean, and to my daughter's delight, came with a working hair dryer. There was also an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. There were sufficient towels of various sizes which looked clean and smelled fresh. All the conveniences worked properly as we basically used them all, except the computer, because I took my tablet with me and had immediate access to the hotel wifi. We were told by the hotel staff that if returning from outside after 10pm we would have to use our keycards to access the front door, as a security measure, but we never stayed out that late during our time there. Breakfast was included in the room cost (for 2 persons). The breakfast area was simple but with adequate seating for guests, even when busy. The breakfast choice was nothing major…the usual - bread, croissants, cereal, some vegetarian pies and some sweet pastry. There were two self-serve coffee stations with automated machines that would present you with several choices of hot beverage. There were juice bottles, yogurt and additional cream. There was individually packaged cheddar cheese wedges, cream cheese, butter and marmalade/jam. If I had to gripe about anything, I'd say that I probably expected more of a variety of breads, given that it was in fact, Montreal. However, our stay was pleasant and our checkout, which was around 10:15 am because we had an 11am train to catch, was swift and easy. All in all, I think it was good value for money, because we booked on a discounted special , which cost around US$180 per night including taxes.

Le Dauphin is located at the junction of Montreal's downtown and its old city, making it perfect for us in walking to the sites and restaurants. Had no difficulty walking five or six blocks to several excellent restaurants, or a bit longer to the downtown shopping districts and McGill University. The Metro, which was easy to use and made all parts of the city accessible, was just a block away. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and directions, and the room was clean and nicely set out. Bathroom and shower were large and well appointed and the beds extremely comfortable. Would easily recommend.

Wonderful hotel, we had an upgraded executive room, room 211, it was huge, almost as big as my condo. Only thing I didn't like was the set up, for the shower, I always felt I was going to run into the side of the glass when I walked out of the shower. Some markings should be place in that section. They have water and snacks in lobby for fee, excellent free breakfast, bagels, banana bread, boiled eggs, yogurt, quich, fruit, very good breakfast. Coffee machine, orange juice. Ill definitely stay at this hotel again
