The hotel is great, centrally located, close to Notre Dame, old port as well as Sainte-Catherine street. The room is loft minimalistic style, very comfortable with everything we needed. The bath is huge, has sufficient counter space for toiletries and there are plenty of towels. Breakfast is included and as I'm a croissant and coffee type of person, I would say it was great.

We had a great stay! Our rate was less expensive than a lot of nearby hotels but I thought our room and the hotel itself were quite nice--so great value! The location was key--easy walk Downtown, easy walk to Old Montreal, a block and a half to metro, a block to airport bus line, lots of restaurants within a block or two. The front desk staff was friendly although only spoke to them checking in and checking out. Our king room was clean and spacious, although our view was the building across the alley--we didn't really care about that since we were busy exploring the city. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. Thermostat was easy to use and A/C was great. The frosted glass in the shower wall and bathroom door was an unfortunate design choice. It wouldn't matter for just one person but if a partner uses the bathroom at night, light could wake the other person. Also the bathroom door is the kind on a rolling track so no sound privacy. The free breakfast was great--nothing cooked but they did have hardboiled eggs, lots of bread, pastry and cereal options, yogurt, cheese, fruit... Great espresso drink machine as well as brewed coffee.

This quaint boutique hotel in very central Montreal does not disappoint.
Rooms are small but modern and comfortable and bonus points for the Dyson hair dryer!
A substantial and impressive continental breakfast is included and we appreciated $1 bottles of water available in the lobby.
Highly recommend!

Our choice of the Hotel le Dauphin was based largely on location and the online reviews - but you always travel in hope rather than expectation. The location was perfect and the hotel itself more than lived up to what I'd hoped for. The rooms are beautifully clean, the bed is the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in and the pillows are fabulous. It's quiet at night time. Everything you need is either on site or easily available locally, with friendly, well trained front of house staff on hand to help or point you in the right direction. We stayed for 8 nights and I would definitely choose to stay there if we return to Montreal. The only suggestions I would make for improvement are: I really like to have a kettle in my room rather than a coffee machine (because Im English) and it would be great to have more fruit options at breakfast. That's it. Special thanks to the front of house team for looking after us so well.

We were in Montreal for a wedding that was taking place in old Montreal. This hotel is very convenient to that area. The room was quite comfortable with a nice king size bed and large, fluffy pillows. The included breakfast was simple but very good. The essentials were covered with boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, yogurt, cold cereal, muffins and other really good pastries and breads. The weekend we were there, the convention center (which is 1 block away) was hosting Comicon which drew huge crowds. Perhaps this helps to explain why we paid $242 USD per night including taxes. This is a bit expensive for what is a nice but not luxury hotel. It seemed that all of the city center hotels were similarly priced.

This was the best hotel of the 3 we stayed in while visiting Montreal, Quebec and Toronto. It was also the cheapest.
The young team on the front desk were very friendly and check in was very smooth when we arrived at about 9pm after a long flight. I would class our room as modern and minimalistic with a very comfortable bed.
There is a display chiller in the foyer where you can buy candy, soft drinks and water etc, at very reasonable prices. This is a great idea that other hotels should copy.
The location of the hotel is great and its only a short walk to the metro. Our best evening meal was at Modavie (with a live Blues band), and this is only an easy 15 minute walk away.
But the highlight of our stay was the simple, but very high quality breakfast. The pastries were fabulous and the sourdough bread was real sourdough. Along with hard boiled eggs, fruit and yoghurt it really did sum up what this hotel is all about - quality without any unnecessary frills.
Coffee at breakfast was good (the left machine was better than the right one though!) but if you want a truly excellent coffee visit Micro Espresso Café which is only a 10 minute walk away.

This is our second stay at Le Dauphin in central Montreal and this time we've left an awful chain hotel to stay here. Le Dauphin is what a modern, chic, reasonably priced hotel should look and feel like. The rooms are spacious, comfortably appointed, with modern bathrooms, everything is immaculately clean and little extras, like modern showers, heated bathroom tiles, etc. that make a difference.
The staff is very helpful: Naomi was so pleasant, attentive and friendly when helping us book a wonderful room at the last minute when we've transferred from another hotel in Montreal.
The location cannot be beat: walking distance to everything, the old Port, Chinatown, popular central streets, restaurants etc. The decor is simple, but makes for a comfortable stay and a modern rocking chair is such a cool touch. We had a very urban view with a bit of Chinatown entrance gate and it was super cool.
Very good breakfast served daily, with plenty of food choices and excellent coffee. The overall environment is so pleasant: calm, quiet, modern, and well thought through. Love this little gem of a hotel, highly recommend.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Oct/24.
Lovely modern hotel in Old Montreal, close to various restaurants, walking distance to a grocery store/pharmacy/shopping center, Via Rail train station downtown and the Old Port.

Our room was spacious with a minimalist concept. We a had a fridge, a computer in the room and access to a microwave in the breakfast area on the mail floor. Personally I found the bed very comfortable for my needs. Breakfast was included with various options of patries, bread, bagels, yogourt, cereal, fruit. Staff were very friendly and I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here at the end of December for 4 nights (reduced to 3 nights due to delayed flights). Had a Junior Suite with 1 King bed, work station, big beautiful bathroom, and rather large sitting area. Great comfortable room, pleasant staff, great location within walking distance to the cathedral, many restaurants and cafes and close to other attractions. Continental breakfast was included (no hot food) and was served in a spacious dining room. Due to last minute Covid curfew, on our last day we had to take the breakfast into the room instead.
Other Covid precautions (plexiglass as reception desk, disinfectants, masking, vaccination proof etc) were also in place.
All in all a really great choice for a relaxing stay in central Montreal. Would definitely return and recommend it to others!
