What can I add to the reviews already posted? This B&B deserves its 5 star rating. We had fantastic breakfasts each day and Alain couldn't have been a more gracious and friendly host. Thoroughly recommend this establishment. We were there for the 2016 Grand Prix and suggest if you are planning to attend the race that you book well in...

Great location delicious food and a host who is a perfect gentleman. Beds are comfortable. Convenient to all of the hot spots. But just enough off the main drag to be quiet. When in Montreal go here there is no doubt we would go back. Thank you Allen.

Alexandre Logan is close to city bike racks (if you like cycling) and also to the subway station. It's walking distance to the eating belt along the gay village. The accommodation is cozy, clean, comfortable, and the breakfast that was being served each morning was AMAZING. The chef did such a great job. We were very pleased with our stay...

Booked this B&B for my Mother (in her own room, room 5 I think) and my husband and I (in our own room, I think room 4; the three of us shared a bathroom). It was an easy check-in after finding parking right in front of the building. The rooms are nice and cozy with a little balcony off each...

This is simply an outstanding choice for staying in Montreal. The location near the Saint Catherine Street is ideal: it’s still inside the “flat $40” airport taxi ride and within an invigorating 20-min walk to the center of things (if it’s cold, the nearest Metro stop is, I think, 3 short blocks away). Our room was on the second floor,...

We stayed in this bed-and-breakfast for two nights at the beginning of September. It is a restored brownstone from 1870 and is absolutely lovely. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and large and the room also had a small sitting area attached. There was an outdoor balcony outside our bedroom that had an outdoor shower which was really cool. Breakfast was...

HIGHLY recommend this place. Fully restored house from 1870. Our room was a comfortable suite with a huge bedroom a very good bed a sitting area and a large deck outside with an outdoor shower!! Got to love that. Well situated close to the Village which is vibrant and fun regardless of your orientation. Breakfast out of this world. Andre...

My husband and I stayed at this B & B last week and loved it! Breakfast was like being in a five star restaurant every morning. Located in the Village, its a quiet, peaceful area, within walking distance to the metro, as well as several excellent restaurants recommended by the Ower Alain. By the way, Alain is a gentleman in...

We couldn't have been more delighted with our stay at Alexandre-Logan. Our room (#3) was utterly charming and very comfortable. The outdoor shower on our semi-private terrace was a highlight. A shared living space between the guest rooms included a refrigerator and glassware, so we stocked up on wine from a nearby shop, and enjoyed happy hour on our terrace...

A beautiful home away from home on a quiet street near all the wild nightlife. Convenient to two metro stations making it easy to get anywhere in the city. I had a room with a shared bath, but it had an inroom sink making it very convenient. It had both an air conditioner and a fan. And a bowl full...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
