We had a room with two twin beds, desks, sinks and closets. The setup was roomy. The shared washrooms were separate from the shared showers and separated by men/women. Overall a place I'd definitely come back to for a clean, cheap place to stay. Metro is 2 blocks away and easily assessed.

I came to Montreal on a whim, just looking to experience something new and French so luxury accommodations were not a priority. I was really surprised to learn that local universities rent out their student dorms during the summer. This was perfect! This place offered single and double rooms. I didn’t know about the single room until I got there because booking.com didn’t list it. So I was surprised to learn about the single room and they lowered the cost for me. There is no AC but I came in June so nights were cool and they offered a room fan. Keeping the windows and the fan on worked perfectly. The single room section was quiet and nicer than than the double room they showed me. There is a sink in the room. The showers are small, dim, and outdated but they worked fine and the water pressure was great. Bring your own towel. They do provide a hand towel and washcloth. The staff was friendly and bilingual and worked with me due to having to knock 2 of my reserved days off because of flight cancellation problems without charging me. I simply called each day to keep them informed of what was going on. The area is a nice college town area and only a 7 minute scenic, peaceful walk to the metro station. I never felt unsafe and a couple of nights walked to the dorm around midnight from the metro. There is a cafeteria on site but it is closed on the weekends and holidays so I was unable to take advantage of that. But there are plenty of little eateries around. I will definitely stay again when given a chance.

This isn't a luxury hotel - it's a very old university dorm at a cheap price (especially when hotel prices spike on busy weekends). Expectations need to be in line with that.

The location is mildly annoying for getting downtown or to Plateau, but it is only a 6 min walk to Cote de Neiges station on the blue Metro line with lots of reliable bus service nearby. There are also lots of decent bar and food options nearby.

Rooms don't have A/C or fans, and given what they charge, that's reasonable. I was there during the heat wave, brought my own fan, and it was survivable. There were power outages during my stay which was annoying, and they seemed to be specific to the college.

Wifi was spotty but when it worked, it was fine.

My main issue with this property is cleanliness. Floors in the rooms and the beds seemed to be clean, as was the in-room sink, but other surfaces were dusty. Bathrooms were being cleaned daily. The hallway and elevator floors were very dirty.

Staff were very helpful, and luggage storage is available.

Overall, if you're going for cheap, it's fine. I think the other dorm options in the city would likely be better and are at a similar cost, but if they're booked up, don't hesitate to stay here.

(+) No frills dorm rooms. Check in was fairly easy and the bilingual staff was competent and friendly. Small kitchen available for preparing meals. Free parking. Two metro stations close by.

(-) Men's toilet under repair throughout my 5-day stay. Wi-Fi was sometimes spotty and certain websites deemed unsuitable for students are blocked.
