This B&B is extremely well located in the Village, walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the city. The studio room is huge and quiet. The history of the quiet revolution from Rob and Joel enriched our entire experience. Montreal is fantastic!

Rob and Joel are wonderful and personable inkeepers and have created a wonderful space to relax after exploring the city by day. The breakfasts include a nice variety of foods and hit the spot! The location was a 20 minute walk to a lot of the things we wanted to see (which wasn't very nice in the rain but fine... More

Stayed in room 1 for a week whilst attending a medical conference. It's located in a quiet street but within walking distance to both Berri-UQAM and Beaudry metro stations. The room was spacious, bright and quiet. The hosts Rob and Joel were very hospitable and knowledgable and they spent every morning chatting with guests over breakfast in the garden courtyard... Enjoyed my two day stay with Rob and Joel. First time in Montreal. I found them to be well informed and willing to share their knowledge of Montreal, Quebec, etc. Close to Rue Ste-Catharine, Parc la Fontaine and airporter bus. Try the Bixi Public Bikes. Cheap and stations are everywhere!

Conveniently located on a quieter side street, but walking distance to a subway stop and one of the popular streets/neighborhoods in Montreal. Very clean, comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Gracious, friendly hosts. Breakfast served in the charming walled garden in back. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Warm, hospital service with excellent knowledge of the area as well as the entire city of Montreal. La Loggia is within walking distance of many great restaurants. Easy access to subway. Be sure to look into Montreal's transportation and museum passes. After a day out in the city, relax in the quiet of your clean, affordable and spacious room.

A stay at La Loggia is a step into the charm of a lovely home with the amenities of a modern venue. Our four day visit was part work (an academic conference) and part holiday. La Loggia is a very short walk to the Metro and trains to all the downtown destinations. Amherst Street itself is a trove of collectible... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
