Extremely bad soundproofing. You will feel like sleeping outside on the highway….. while hearing your neighbors talking or walking on your ceiling. Just not worthy of you patronage. Staff was nice but you normally go to an hotel to sleep. This one is too noisy unless you don’t mind wearing earplugs! Maybe you want to feel like sleeping in an airplane… then that will be just fine.
Not sure why my initial review was deleted, but am writing again to make sure the scent sensitive are aware and can book at a hotel better suited to accessibility needs. We paid for the room, but the fragrance was so strong we could not sleep in our room. Holiday Inn has been a safe bet for us in the past (and in Nova Scotia it was fine), but this particular Holiday Inn had such a strong perfume fragrance that must be sprayed regularly since it appears infused in the walls and furnishings. It was a major shock given our Holiday Inn experiences in the past. We opened the window (a nice point on the room) and returned a bit later to see if the scent had dissipated, but it had not. Even my kids could not bear it. So we left to find another hotel (note we ended up having to drive out of town eastward along the St.Lawrence before we found anything). Note: given COVID, we understood that we would not get a refund, and were willing to pay NOT to sleep in that room. I would have even slept in my car if needed. For anyone who does not mind strong fragrance, the room and hotel appeared clean and lovely, like most Holiday Inns, and the front desk staff were courteous and kind.…
This was the perfect place to stay for the second night of our road trip. The hotel is relatively new, clean and have spacious room. The location is a little far from the city hustle but parking are free and we can see the car from our room. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good enough to fill us during the day. AC is good, TV was French but requested the front desk to switch to English language. Overall, good.
this hotel looks like it was recently updated/ spacious contemporary rooms and bathrooms/ we were just passing through but very happy with our stay/ friendly efficient staff/ well located near major attractions in hotel zone of city/
Thank-you Holiday Inn Express, for a Very Nice stay at a very relaxing hotel. The Staff were really Terrific, Kind, Patient to a Family from out of Province, who spoke very little French. The Hotels location is terrific, and it's not far from a Fantastic Italian Restaurant. It's also very close to the World Famous Pont de Quebec Bridge, one of the Worlds largest Cantilever Bridge. The Hotel has a Very Nice Lobby, and they also have a screened in tent type room adjacent to there dining room, so people can have space for social distancing. And their breakfast's were terrific. Our Hotel room was very relaxing for a Family of way word travelers.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We were in the area to go visit Quebec City. Not really sure why we did not stay in the city itself but this hotel was chosen as we are IHG members. The hotel offers quite a bit of free parking and special parking for Platium members right by the door (which we are) but it was always full. No way to fully enforce this anyway. The stay started off quite rocky when we noticed we had to towels. The front desk told us there were no more clean bath towels, everyone had gone home for the day,
Hotel was clean and quiet, lovely modern decor and design.Great location. Room and bathroom was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. Front desk staff was very nice. . The breakfast was great. The room was spacious.
This is OK holiday. Have seen way better maintained Holiday-Inn Express. The holiday cleanness was OK heavily dusty, however the equipment including supplies are really sub-par. The towels are dollarama class, AC was hardly functioning. The only good feature is the bedding.
Spacious room & very clean ( one bedroom suite) . Front staff was friendly. Not much of a view. Hotel had a nice spa outdoors but didn't take advantage as we were in a heatwave. Wait for breakfast was long however food was great.
Because of my job I spend a lot of nights in hotels around Canada, and the experience with this hotel was the best experience in years, the room was exceptionnel clean and modern, the bed was huge and so confortable, the lights and the details everything was perfect, but beyond all of that the most incredibe experience was in the reception, the girl give to me and my team an awesome service an awesome attention, she even had us breakfast for the next day because we left very early, with the room service she give us too an awesome and a profesional service, and she also speak spanish, The only thing that I would have liked but I could not, was to stay more days, This hotel deserve this 5 stars but the girl in the reception deserve 6!, Fully recomended!
