Castel d’Amerique Francais is a gem. It is a wonderful, small bed and breakfast in the hard of old Quebec. Location was amazingly close to the main attractions - Frontenac, rue petit Champlain, the river, and close to the rue at jean which is a shopping street, the Christmas market, many restaurants and cafes!! The host Jolanta is very hospitable and nice, the breakfast was really good with mostly healthy choices. The establishment is an old, 17th century house that gives the feeling of old Quebec. However, it has all the modern amenities. The rooms were big and comfortable, with fridge, TV with Netflix. The hotel is in a small quiet street so sleeping was not an issue at all!!! We had a great time and will return in the near future!!

Lovely accommodations, complete with a huge room with two queen beds, and a full balcony overlooking Quebec City. Our host Jolanta was sweet, attentive and flexible. The location could not be better. We were in the heart of Old Quebec and walking distance to everything. A block from loads of restaurants and a few blocks from the river, visitor center, Frontenac, museums, a panoramic restaurant, shopping, churches, and the Citadel. We walked to a bike shop and took a bike tour to the Falls. All are definite must-do's...and staying at the Castel made it so easy! Netflix was a bonus! After many sites and even more steps taken, sometimes we wanted to relax in the room -- this was vacation, after all! Enjoyed having access to Netflix. Let's not forget the delicious included

The overall atmosphere was charming, but decor could use some upgrades and the aesthetic was very garage sale looking. Beds were comfortable, hostess was pleasant, but not really into conversation. Breakfast was nice. Location is pretty good for walking around Old Quebec.

Wow! Thank you Yolanda, for such an amazing experience. The love you have for your beautiful 1860 Castel shows in all that you do. Your attention to detail, charm and warmth made our stay in Old Quebec all the more incredible. Thank goodness we had to walk so much as her breakfast cakes that she makes herself and breads and cheeses are dangerously delicious! I highly recommend this establishment. Merci Yolanda! Louise and Mom.
