Everything about this hotel is exceptional! I had a room with huge windows opening up to a private terrasse with a view on St-Jean street below. Every detail is thought of for a truly amazing time! Don't forget to read through the Journal de M. Jean, there are so many good recommandations for shops and restaurants! Kitchenette has everything you would need, the bed and pillows would have come home with me had I been able to steel them (and fit in my car), the valet parking is a great added bonus as it can be tricky to park in Old Quebec (there is an underground city parking next to the hotel with fair prices if you wish to skip valet). This hotel is my new go-to place whenever I'll be in Old Quebec!
This hotel is just steps away from great restaurants, attractions and the room was perfect. The staff was also willing to help with any request we made. The building is incredibly clean, very new and modern. The hotel is very secure as the elevator only moves if you have a room key. We visited with 3 children and would absolutely do it again.
I don’t usually write reviews but this hotel exceeded my expectations; the staff was very helpful (especially with helping me coordinate my lost luggage and making a spa appointment), the hotel was very clean, the continental breakfast was above and beyond, and the location could not be beat! I would definitely stay again if I find myself in Quebec City- thank you for helping to make my trip so wonderful
This hotel was a great find; perfectly located in the old quarter. We had a large corner room with a lovely view up the hill and overlooking a shop-lined street lit by holiday lights. In the distance, above buildings, we could see the water. Service was excellent, everyone friendly and helpful. The bed was quite comfortable; linens very fresh. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs with ample dish and silverware. This hotel feels very elegant; the perfect spot to spend days enjoying the city!!
It is a beautiful hotel with great location. Reception staff were friendly and lobby had a pleasant smell which is exceptional. However, nightmare started after the moment we checked out. It was a heavy snowy day, we asked to have our car ready in the indoor garage because of the snow and slippery floor as we had lots of luggage. Unfortunately, we were rejected and the car was double-parked outside the lobby. It was a nightmare to load our luggage due to the steep slope, our luggage kept falling and stroller even fell on the road in a high traffic area, needless to say how slippery the floor was. Incredibly dangerous situation, can’t believe the valet staff was not flexible to accommodate our request. On the other side, we were charged because of the service dog, claimed that the room was not dog friendly, so cleaning fee was applied. More importantly, the charge was made without communication, no one mentioned that at the reception when checking out, we found out later when emailing them to ask. This is insane. We backtracked and found out the charge started pending during the stay, which means they could have asked us to switch to a dog friendly room if it was non dog friendly. Sorry to say, this is disappointing.…
It was a wonderful hotel, with very clean and spacious rooms. All staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating. I especially liked the place to leave your boots outside your room on a boot tray- since we got to have snow while we were there it was much appreciated. Wish we had planned our stay there for longer- but maybe we will get a chance to return
The most beautiful and unique hotel I have ever stayed. The attention to detail and cleanliness cannot be matched. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is beyond anything I have seen before. It is the perfect location, situated in the heart of old Quebec.
Exceptional hotel and service. The hotel was beautiful with a panoramic view of old Quebec City from our room. The staff went above and beyond our request to give us the best experience possible. I would highly recommend Monsieur Jean.
We visit Quebec city about 2 times a year and I wanted to try this boutique Hotel for a while. The experience was fantastic. From the kindness of all staff members, to the quality of the rooms, the location can't get better than this. It's now my favorite in Old Quebec city. Thank you for the great experience!
Nicely decorated room with lots of charm. You feel like in an art gallery in the lobby. Clean room. I will come back. Parking available at Hotel de Ville and Chauveau parkings at 12$ a day in weekends.
