At Hôtel Manoir Vieux-Québec, guests frequently commend the amiable and proficient staff for their exceptional service and bilingual capabilities. The fusion of traditional charm and modern, clean design within the hotel creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that is consistently praised. While the rooms garner appreciation for their comfort and tidiness, some guests have noted occasional issues with room temperature.
Despite remarks about the pricier breakfast and parking, the hotel's amenities, including the rooftop terrace and jacuzzi, are well-received. The location is a highlight, with its convenient access to the attractions of Old Quebec.

This hotel is definitely a hidden gem in Old Quebec City.
We were amazed at how beautiful and comfy this hotel is. We were there on the Labour Day Long Weekend. The service was amazing. All the staff there were super friendly. We were being told that this hotel only opened for a month so everything is pretty new. During this PreOpening time, they offer complimentary breakfast (Free coffee, muffin, juice and yogurt).
The room is well decorated with comfortable beds, Smart TV (which can easily cast your YouTube on), a coffee machine, free wifi and clean newly renovated bathroom.
The view in front of the hotel is breathtaking which facing the St Lawrence River. The hotel is within walking distance to everywhere in Old Quebec City.

beautiful building with renovated rooms but far from all being equivalent.
some smaller than those in photos (for the same type) with standard bed (140cm) and not queen (but nevertheless comfortable), with bathtub and not Italian shower.
In these conditions the price should be revised downwards, especially when you arrive and you notice that your reservation is 100 Cad more expensive than the daily prices. Cleaning is actually not done every day (like almost everywhere in Canada: ecology or economy?) because the customer does not benefit from any reduction even though the service is not the same!
Also pay attention to the difficult to access situation: an elevated area with old buildings whose doors at the top of the stairs with small steps open to the outside: very difficult to enter with your luggage, especially as there is no help is proposed. no staff at night.
best of all, the beautiful, well-appointed terrace on the roof which you can enjoy in good weather. And free coffee with machine at reception. But this is not the case for small bottles of water priced at 2.5 Cad...

The positive: Very clean, big room and bathroom, very good location, nice staff.
Negative: The front steps into the hotel. They’re very steep and there is no one to help you get your luggage up and into the lobby. Very dangerous.
Coffee machine in the lobby but that’s it. Nothing else available.
We had a platform bed that has sharp corners. My husband hit his leg on and bled and bled. Staff was kind and provided a first aid kit. You might want to tuck a towel into each corner to prevent an accident.
Nice hotel but next time we’ll spend more for a hotel with more amenities.

We’re waiting here in the lobby for our Uber. The very helpful and polite front desk clerk has been searching for an Apple power cord that we left in our room 2 hours ago when we checked out. It’s gone.
We were sure to check out exactly on time. Why? Because they charge for every hour you stay past 11:00. No exceptions.
Earlier in our 4-night stay we asked that our linens be changed. (We we’re aware that the linens are not changed daily.) The young woman at the front desk said she had to call for permission. We came back in the evening to find our bed untouched.
So, it’s a service issue here. The room was nice; bathrooms clean; AC effective; rooftop lovely; location beautiful. But would I recommend it? Only if you’re feeling lucky.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel Manior Vieux Quebec. We had a premium view room with a view of the Frontinac and the St Lawrence River. It was just beautiful! The hotel couldn't be in a better location. It's in the heart of Old Quebec and walking distance to everything.
We also enjoyed the jacuzzi after a day of sight seeing in the cold. It felt wonderful!
The staff was very nice and helpful. The one exceptional staff member was Sharon. She was so friendly! I had requested some fresh towels, shampoo and creamers for the coffee. It was immediately delivered and she even emptied the trash cans!
The one negative thing was that the breakfast was quite expensive ($22) for what they offered. Just fruit, cereal, bagles, and boiled eggs. But there are several good restaurants within walking distance , so we only ate the breakfast at the hotel the first morning.
All in all ,it was a lovely stay. I would defintely stay again.

We decided to book locally rather than go with a large American hotel chain:When we arrived no one offered help with our luggage so we had to drag our suitcases up the 10 or so steep stairs to the front entrance. They could have just told us to use the back entrance where there were no steps at all…
We booked a Deluxe King located on the 3rd floor which was large enough and had a beautiful exposed wall as well as a small window facing the street and the small park towards the river. Unfortunately the room’s floor and most surfaces were very dirty, which we mentioned at reception immediately.
Beds are great to sleep in, not too firm, not too soft.
The next day upon our return we found our room not cleaned and were told by reception that there was no room service throughout the whole of our stay. Brekfast room not open either…At 400CAD/night!

This is the best it can get in terms of location, right by the broad-walk and a few minutes walk to everything Old Quebec has to offer. The rooms are tiny, but were clean when we checked in.
We stayed for 5 nights and there was Absolutely No Service the entire time !. The sheets were never changed, the rooms were never cleaned, the trash bins were never emptied in between our stay. We had to go ask for fresh towels at the reception when we needed them. And at $400 a night, it was a total rip-off !!!!!
The location of the hotel is perfect though ! The only positive !

Super location, it’s a very clean and comfortable hotel to sleep at. Front desk staff (Samuel) are very nice and friendly.
Wouldn’t recommend it to people that plan on spending any time within the hotel since the rooms are small, the shower is in the middle of the room and there’s no lounge or anything. But it’s great for people on the go who want a nearby place to return to at the end of the day.

We found this to be a charming hotel; the modern renovations paired perfectly with the original brick walls. The staff was friendly and fluent in both English and French. The room was very comfortable, good pillows and a great shower. The location was perfect for us with easy access to restaurants, shopping and the old city. There is a rooftop terrance which we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy due to rain. However, there is a lounge in the basement that has a pre-pay wine dispenser, a free cappuncino machine and board games, as well as areas to spread out and relax. The breakfast was rather subpar for the price, but the convenience on a bad weather day made is worthwhile. We didn't use the gym, but it looked adequate for most vacation needs--especially with all the walking you can do in the area! There is an elevator in the hotel, but note that the front entrance stairs are steep. There is a back entrance that the taxi/uber can access. Also note that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day, so you need to make arrangements if you have a late check in. We did enjoy our staff every much, and look forward to staying there the next time we are in Quebec City.

We had a lovely stay here as a family of four in a couple of rooms. The location was perfect, just a couple blocks from a central square in the upper part of the old city and a block from the promenade overlooking the river, and just a ten minute walk or less into the lower part of the old city. A block away or just a few blocks from morning pastry or restaurant options. Everything in the hotel was clean and comfortable. The Murphy bed was comfortable, much better than the sofabed in a lot of hotels. The amenities are as advertised. It was lovely to have the nice coffee machine in the social/breakfast area, and the small exercise room and rooftop sitting area are great. The shower was terrific. Even though our room was quite near the elevator, we heard hardly anything at any hour. The only noise we experienced at night was the refrigerator cycling periodically. We appreciated all the help and local advice we got from Samuel at the front desk.
