This Fairmont is probably one of the most famous hotels in the world, so a few things need to be taken into account when reviewing the hotel. The hotel is a tourist attraction in itself , it dominates the skyline , and is huge (just under 800 rooms i was told) ! This means that its a little different from...

If you have to stay somewhere in Quebec for a week, that is THE place! This is the coolest landmark to visit and also the emblem of the city. It was my first time in Quebec. Seriously, this is a very fine hotel with lots of commodites like an ice cream parlor, a Starbuck, restaurants, a private VIP lounge (if...

Place was like a palace. Everyone spoke English as well as French. It was like going to Europe but not leaving North America. The city was charming and full of activity and energy. Street performers, great eateries, kind people that seemed happy to have you in their country. The food at the hotel is 5 star all the way and the...

In my humble opinion, Quebec City is the prettiest city in North America and Le Chateau Frontenac is the nucleus. Grand, gracious, and regal, this hotel oozes old world charm, tradition, and history….from dignitaries to royalty, Le Chateau Frontenac has hosted historic figures through the years. I've stayed at 10 of Fairmont's Canadian hotels, and this one is my favourite...

*The* iconic Quebec hotel, it is on what seems like every postcard and image of the city. Built in the late 1800s -- despite its name it was never a castle, it was purpose built as a hotel, and got its shape through stages -- you can still see the late Victorian charm. What that translates to in practical terms...

This was my first visit to Quebec City and I wanted to stay at the chateau. I'm glad we stayed. We got a good rate. It's a nice hotel but really it's the location that makes it worth staying. It's also a tourist attraction spend some time walking around the lower levels and take in some of the history of...

Upon arriving we had a choice between a newly renovated room on the top floor or a room on the third floor overlooking the river. We chose the smaller just because of the views. No regrets. The staff is very nice and everyone speaks French and English so no problems. The breakfast buffet is one of the best with quite...

We traveled with friends to Quebec for a weekend getaway 7/31 - 8/2/15. The Chateau Frontenac was our only choice because of its location and history. Upon arrival you can see the hotel from a distance as it sits on one of the highest points in Quebec along the St. Lawrence River. It looks exactly as the photos show. Lots...

I stayed one of their deluxe Frontenac suites with a river view for 5 nights. Yes, the hotel is in a pretty building, and it's in a location with a great view of the St Lawrence River, it is near every tourist site and major restaurant in the city, and it must one of the only hotels in the world...

We stayed for 3 nights after our road trip through the Maritimes and were happy to enjoy some R&R in this stunning hotel. Plenty of amenities in the hotel, including a good sized pool for our 1.5 year old. More importantly, the hotel is incredibly close to the action, with all major sights within a 10-15 minute walk. Oddly, the...
